  1. Hallo! I was having the same annoying issues (lags and stutters) when entering data in the perf page and, expecially during flight, when editing route. I tryied to exclude the whole x-plane folder from Microsoft Security Essential ad it worked like a charm! It was my only one complain about this plane, many thanks guys! Cheers Francesco
  2. I really don't care about the cabin. Actually I do not even care too much about an extremely detailed external model because I spend 99% of my time into the cockpit.
  3. Tobs That confirm what i said before: running the CRJ on my PC (and on my MAC too) the yaw dumpers seem to be ON when they are white (illuminated). But in the second part of the video tutorial at minute 1:20 Japo says that the Yaw Dumpers buttons must be dark when switched ON. Maybe that' s because they used the updated CRJ for the video tutorial
  4. Hey Japo...you did a great job with the video tutorial Just a question: In part 2 you say that the Yaw dumpers must not be lit when On. In the pdf tutorial is written the opposite. By the way on my CRJ they seems to be connected when they are illuminated. Maybe the video tutorial has been made with an earlier version of the plane? Thanks in advance Francesco
  5. Good 8) Nice to know that the bug is confirmed and will be fixed in the upcoming patch. Thank both....expecially Japo for his patience Regards
  6. Japo I don't want to be nagging but that's not the way a flight director should work. A flight director should lead you to perform a manouver correctly. Just another example: I'm flying heading 360 and want to reach heading 090. I set heading 090 than the flight director vertical bar SHOULD start to move to the right and CENTER when the standard angle of bank is reached (i believe 30 degrees normally and 15 when selecting 1/2 bank). Then the vertical bar SHOULD start to move to the left when near 090 (that mean that you have to level the wings to stop your heading on 090) and CENTER when my heading match the heading bug (090) and the wings are levelled. A flight director should work just as above. In the CRJ the vertical bar go in the center only when the selected heading is reached. Sorry i can't explain better. The flight director is reproduced pretty well in the default X-plane AP so you could try to fly the same situation with the CRJ and with a default aircraft to notice the differences. Anyway i'll try to record a video later. Thanks again, best regards Francesco
  7. Hallo Japo and thanks for your reply 1. For example. I'm following the fms route with autopilot ON and flight director ON, Nav mode and alt hold engaged. Now the plane has to start a 90 degrees turn to the left to follow the route. Ok the vertical FD bar start to move to the left but when the plane reaches 25 degrees of bank the bar never centers and remain all the way to the left (center only when the plane reaches the target heading). Also with AP engaged the orizontal bar (vertical modes) sometimes do not center. 2. Yes 3. Yes 4. Yes I'll make some test today and will take some screenshots to explain better the problem Thanks again. Francesco
  8. Hallo I've bought the CRJ just 2 days ago. Amazing addon...never seen something like this before in X-Plane But....i'm having some trouble with the flight director. For example flying manually an ILS with flight director engaged, approach armed, the bars do not give the right indication to follow the glide and the localizer. Also in every vertical modes, when flying the plane manually, the flight director doesn't lead you to the desired vertical speed, or at the altitude hold, ecc. Another example: i'm flying north, i engage HDG and set the heading bug to 090. The vertical bar of the flight director never center when i reach 25 or 30 degrees of bank during the turn but remains all the way on the right. Never seen a flight director working that way. The problem is just mine or the FD is just not working correctly for every one else? Hope my english has been at least understandable Thanks in advance. Best regards Francesco
  9. Thanks for the exhaustive reply Morten The data written on the chart refer to sea level, IAS condition. Infact i had to set 17,450 lbs of thrust at 100% N1 to get 14,500 LBS at 94,4% N1 for the Takeoff as reported in the charts. Manipulating the N1 instruments would be an interesting walkaround but i believe i finally will learn how to code a plugin Thanks again. Best regards
  10. Thanks guys There is nothing checked in the fadec section of plane maker and i reached a good compromise between thrust, EPR, N1, ecc. But istill have some problems. For example i get 15000 lbs of thrust at 94.4 of N1 as written in the charts i have, but if i set 85.1 i do not get 11400 lbs but something less. And, as tonka said, i loose a lot of thrust during climb too....that's frustrating. I believe i should learn how to create a plugin
  11. Hallo everyone This is my first post here. My name is Francesco and i'm from Rome, Italy. I take the occasion to present my project and to ask how to solve some problem with it. I don't know if this is the right place to ask something like this (i'm sorry if it's not) but i hope there will be someone able to help me. I've been workin on a DC9 since 2009 but being alone the project advances very slowly. I have some problem regarding the the engines (JT8D-9) paramenters. I have a table chart reporting a lots of data (EPR, N1, N2, ecc.) at different thrust settings at sea level. The problem is that if i set every data (in plane maker) to be as the chart says at, for exaple, 14500 lbs thrust i will get wrong datas at 9000 lbs of thrust. I believe i reached a good compromise but i can't get the engines working like in real life. I would like to know if someone has managed to obtain an engine that works in x-plane the same way as it works in real life, with same parameters and thrust at different settings (maybe a plugin?). I add some screenshots of the DC9 i'm workin on http://img10.imageshack.us/f/screenshot1sh.png http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/1803/screenshot2ju.png http://img153.imageshack.us/f/screenshot3ev.png http://img163.imageshack.us/f/screenshot4g.png http://img718.imageshack.us/f/screenshot5qm.png http://img37.imageshack.us/f/screenshot6ry.png http://img23.imageshack.us/f/screenshot7tl.png http://img825.imageshack.us/f/screenshot8j.png I hope my english has been at least understandable Thanks in advance Francesco
