Take Command! Hot Start Challenger 650 v1.8 Update Released!
TheFlightsimGuy replied to Cameron's topic in Technical Support
I'm relieved to hear that Laminar is releasing their weather API in 12.3! I assume this will result in an aircraft update as soon as the team can implement the new features? -

Hi, My IXEG B733 was acting up a little this morning electrically so figured I'd redownload and reinstall to see if that helped. Logged into X-Aviation and checked my account, but it says I've made no purchases? I should have hte IXEG and the Torquesim Islander at the very least, perhaps others that I can't recall at the moment. Am I looking in the wrong place? Cheers, Ryan

Tamarack Active Winglet mod for the TorqueSim CitationJet 525
Pixel of Life commented on PilotFidi's file in Business Aviation
Thanks, these look great. A couple things though: First, the fix posted above (and included in the newer version of the mod) only changes the color of the nav light billboard, but not the color of the actual light that gets cast onto the ground and other objects; that's still green even though the light itself appears red. In order to fix this, open the Winglet_Lights.obj file in a text editor, and on the row that has "airplane_nav_sp" followed by a NEGATIVE number. It should be line 13. On that line, find the three values that go "0 0.85497922 0.00035693203" and swap the first two values so it goes "0.85497922 0 0.00035693203" instead. Then save the file. Second, if you're bothered by the original nav and strobe lights shining through the winglets, they can also be removed. Go to the plane's objects folder and open EXT_LIGHTS.obj in a text editor. Around the middle of the file, you'll find ten consecutive lines that start with "LIGHT_PARAM airplane_nav" or "LIGHT_PARAM airplane_strobe". These should be lines 47-56. Insert a # symbol at the start of each of the ten lines to comment them out and then save the file. Note that you may have to do this again any time the plane gets updated.- 12 comments

IXEG is not usable in apple silicon with latest Gizmo Avionics
Cameron replied to juan267's topic in Gizmo Soft Crashes
Gizmo LTS is not compatible, nor will it be. This is partially why we do not suggest people ever get or use it. -

IXEG is not usable in apple silicon with latest Gizmo Avionics

Sorry I should correct myself. Gizmo LTS seems to work except for level 2 activation when not using rosetta. All dials buttons and switches load and become interactive just no reactions from the interaction. -
IXEG is not usable in apple silicon with latest Gizmo Avionics
Cameron replied to juan267's topic in Gizmo Soft Crashes
None of the systems can run without Gizmo. The entire aircraft system is written in it. It's not just activation. There will not be native ARM support for a while as we transition to C. -

Is there any update for this? A beta or even an alpha with the notice that there will be bugs? There is a noticeable performance hit when translating x86_64 binaries and it seems most of the aircraft components are able to run natively except Gizmo for activation. -
Can i get a new link sir many thanks

Yeah, the white area is the takeoff trim range. But, that doesn’t mean you should engage the AP with the trim there, if you are holding control pressure on the yoke, don’t expect the AP to take over seamlessly. The plane should be trimmed throughout the hand-flying phase of takeoff and initial climb, then with the plane in-trim, you can engage the AP when appropriate.

ALT was always set to airport initial climb, so above the airport elevation. Speaking about trim, where can I find proper trim for departure? Meaning, is there any trim setting needed to be set per the TOW or something as such? I think the trim might be the case to be honest. Just have no idea how to properly set it up - resp. to which specific value, or it just have to be within the white area next to the trim wheel?

The STEC AP being used is the internal XP STEC. It is an incredibly dumb autopilot (as it is in the real world). It definitely is night and day in behaviors compared to modern APs (DFC90 with the Entegra, or anything Garmin, etc.)
