  1. I was using 4.0.1 and referring to the cloud detail setting in the XPlane rendering options, not skymaxx settings.
  2. I cleared out my plugins folder, reinstalled SMP, and all is well. No idea what it was, but it's working as expected now. Can this thread be nominated as the most useless thread of 2017?
  3. Does the XPlane cloud detail setting in the rendering options have any effect on SMP generated clouds?
  4. Good evening all, I'm having some difficulty getting decent framerate with SMP while using overcast/stormy presets (or similar edited versions of those two) in XPlane 10. It seems any setting above the bare minimum cloud area covered results in crawl. I've disabled God Rays any any other feature that could be turned "on", as well as reducing resolution and texture sets to low. Which of these settings are the "heavy hitters" performance wise? My machine is running a mildly overclocked 4930K paired with a GTX 1080ti, and performs beautifully when disabling SMP with XPlane settings maxed. In "normal" weather conditions, everything is beautiful and fine... but when I crank down visibility things really get sluggish. Please let me know what other information I can provide to help diagnose. Edit: I apologize, thought I had posted this in the support subforum for SMP- not General. Would an admin please move this thread to the correct location?
  5. I find myself coming back to these screenshots every month or two. Seriously... I cannot wait. It seems the only comparatively detailed bizjets are inside P3D/FSX but the camera controls in that software make me want to bang my head against a wall. Any more screenshots to share?
  6. Looks great, can't wait to finally see a proper Citation in XP. I'm also a fan of the "used" look of aircraft. Dust, scratches, little touches to make it seem like it's been loved before.
  7. Thanks Pat, that worked for me. I did try and update NavData before even launching the aircraft for the first time... perhaps that caused some sort of issue.
  8. Hey all, Just re-installed the 737 and am experiencing a CTD. Not sure if the x-aviation download is actually the latest version (DL labeled as version 1.0, not mentioning hotfix 7), but that's what I installed. Log attached.
  9. Thanks for the updates on this Goran. Out of curiosity, how difficult is it from a development perspective to make an aircraft that's cross compatible with both XP10 and 11? Also, what are some of the challenges you run into during the process of porting an aircraft to XP 11?
  10. Wait... the manual is an additional $30? What am I missing here?
  11. I was just checking the site to see if the product page was up, then boom... a video. Some more fantastic work from @redpiper1
  12. Fantastic news from a fantastic team of people. Excited doesn't even begin to describe it. Congratulations to IXEG on the release of something I know you all have put a piece of your soul into. It's time to push the baby bird out of the nest to see if it flies. Hmm... so who are we supposed to pester now about unreleased products? Maybe Cameron and his Citation?
  13. If only there was a way for the community to help with this process. You might find some of us here even have development and software QA experience, and just might be eager to help. Rock on, IXEG.
  14. That's what I was getting at
  15. I'd love to see a decent Citation for XP
  16. I'm quite literally dreaming about flying this thing now and can't describe how unbelievably excited I am, years later, to finally see this product come to fruition. The anticipation is so great that nothing in X-Plane is doing it for me right now... I've had to resort to binge watching 22 series worth of Top Gear. Save us IXEG!
  17. I can't describe how appreciated this is by the community. Attention to detail is what creates immersive simulation, making X-Plane as a whole a better piece of software. Do it to it IXEG...
  18. Hopefully this update puts it one step closer to release.... The wait has been absolutely grueling! The attention to detail across the board is really exciting to see, I can't wait.
  19. That thing is shaping up to be a real beauty. I love the texture used on the console and the concavity of the overhead panel. Looking forward to picking it up.
  20. To be completely honest, I do the vast majority of the time. However if I was OK with that I wouldn't be bothered with typing any of this out. Like I said the hidden heading/course adjustment wouldn't be a problem provided there was proper scroll wheel support, but for the life of me I can't understand why you wouldn't allow scroll manipulation of those two knobs. Edit: To be clear the annoyances I have with the plane aren't at all due to it being unstable or un-flyable. It is 100% minor annoyances with user interaction with the cockpit. The plane is fantastic apart from these few things.
  21. I'm talking about just providing the option to let the user decide which method works best. Why not both? Fair enough- Is it possible to save this bind so we don't have to redo it each load? Mouse manipulation of course and heading select is always preferred. Interacting with the cockpit is infinitely more interesting than binding important features to random keys. Thank you for getting back to me.
  22. Just wanted to say how excited about this update I am. There are definitely some annoyances with the 340A, but thankfully some of these are being addressed. I don't think it's any secret that the 340A has the worst cockpit interaction of any payware plane on the market today, and thankfully there are solid steps being made to correct an otherwise stellar aircraft. There are still a few things that need some love: - Scroll wheel support needs to be implemented across the board, including heading and course knobs. - The toggle switches need work- specifically the amount of cursor travel required to manipulate them. Click-to-toggle would be the preferred method but at the very least reduce the distance required to flip a switch. - The condition levers should be bound to the default joystick prop feather axis and should move as a pair unless manually manipulated with the cursor. Separately having to bind them every time the craft is loaded is silly. Scroll wheel support would make this less of an issue: - Implement hidden course/heading manipulation bugs somewhere near the HSI. I hate to see this aircraft sitting in the hangar, and hopefully soon it'll be time to bring it back out Thank you for your time.
  23. This changes the external FOV, not in-cockpit FOV. It really does look like I'm flying with my chin on the yoke.
  24. Hello, So essentially the cockpit looks like I'm staring at it through binoculars. Is there any way to zoom out in 2d mode? I've attempted to setup my camera position in 3d mode but couldn't settle on anything natural looking. Ideally I'd like to see the 2d view but be able to view the whole instrument panel. Thank you.
