64 bit version of the plane testing.
Cameron replied to Japo32's topic in British Aerospace Jetstream 32
Okay folks. No need for further reports here. The aircraft is NOT 64-bit compatible and will not be until the update and 10.2 goes final. We're aware of the situation. -
You're running the CRJ in 64-bit. Run it in 32-bit instead. More info here: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/topic/4106-solved-x-plane-10-beta-5-32bit-64bit-crj-200/ We will release 64-bit after 10.2 has gone final, just as Laminar has requested of developers: http://developer.x-plane.com/2012/11/please-do-not-release-64-bit-add-ons/

Thanks for purchasing. I have been having discussions with Austin on CCW props in X-Plane, and we are going to be investigating this. In short, X-Plane should be taking care of any roll simulation. He agrees that CCW props should NOT roll to the right, but rather neutral out. What will come of this remains to be seen, as we're early in on discussions.

When the speed is your friend...
Cameron replied to arb65912's topic in British Aerospace Jetstream 32
I don't mind, though you should probably reserve your negative comments until you actually fly it. This is not because I am bias, but because you do not KNOW until you've tried it. At that point you have full reign to speak out to your hearts desire. Given the multiple real pilots like yourself who assisted on this product, I believe you're being more critical than necessary...all without even touching the product. Don't knock it till you try it. That's all I gotta say (X-Plane has a demo mode you can try it with to save you the majority of cost). Until then, thanks for being respectful and mindful that you are pre-judging. -

Be sure you are not running 64-bit. -

If I remember right, no file is altered. It is all within memory for the sim session. -
incompatibility with Saitek Panels
Cameron replied to Belga's topic in British Aerospace Jetstream 32
Hi, Marc, It's likely a custom datarefs issue. As we do not have these Saitek panels and the custom programming is coded as necessary, I'm unsure if there's really anything more we can do here. -
Take a look at the png files already included in the liveries folder to get an idea.

Guys, take this discussion up in the proper place if you wish to continue further.

Hello, all, This will serve as a formal forum announcement that we have released the version 1.01 update for the BAe Jetstream 32. All customers who have purchased the BAe Jetstream 32 up till now have been sent an e-mail by X-Aviation with complete installation instructions on how to update your product. We have made this a very simple process! For those that purchase the BAe Jetstream 32 from today forward, your purchased download will already be updated to version 1.01 for you. What if I didn't get the update e-mail? If you did not receive your update e-mail don't fret! X-Aviation has updated our system to allow all customers to update with ease, regardless of whether you received an e-mail for the update! Here's what to do: 1. Login to your X-Aviation account here: https://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/login.php 2. View your past order history invoice that contains the BAe Jetstream 32 purchase on it. 3. At the bottom of the invoice you will find a blue highlighted link to your update that says: "BAe Jetstream 32". The new installer will detect whether this is a new install, or if you already have any BAe Jetstream 32 version installed. Depending on your current situation, the installer will run through the appropriate paths with you, including uninstalling all unnecessary items from the previous version! Your liveries/downloaded paints will be safe in this process! There are some important fixes and requests implemented in this update. ***VERY IMPORTANT*** We have received a lot of complaints from customers who believe their Jetstream 32 was not working correctly because their joysticks were not working. It is very important you read the manual, as this is intentional until you go through the proper setup on the aircraft! Please consult page 48 of the manual where you'll find red text with an explanation on this and what you need to do! It is NOT a bug! The following is a list of additions/fixes included: NEW! - Nine new liveries now included. They are: 1. Aeropelican 2. Blue Islands 3. British Airways 4. Coast Air 5. Experimental 6. Macair Jet 7. Bare Metal 8. Trans World Express (TWE) 9. US Airways Express ---------------------------------------- FIXES: 1. Condition levers now are in the down position at the beginning of a flight when starting with engines stopped. 2. Deleted assignment of prop axis in joystick settings. Remember, always exit X-Plane after using the Jetstream 32. Load another plane or stop the plugin in the plugins menu to ensure you don't loose your settings. 3. Props no longer feather when stopped or at lower condition lever positions. 4. Condition levers in taxi position no longer cause prop feathering. 5. Servos no longer come on automatically when selecting autopilot mode. They now have to be selected with the autopilot button on the main front panel. 6. Added button manipulators for the flight directors to switch them off. 7. Made slight adjustments to stick pusher. 8. Slight refinements to the autopilot and flight dynamics. 9. Lowered the illumination level of the cabin lighting and its effect in the cockpit. 10. Modified the fast change between functions in the GPS and DME sel button. Now, one change per button click. 11. Fixed swap between Nav and COM frequencies in GPS, and correct tuning of them through the GPS knobs. 12. Fixed transponder codes to limit to the number '7'. 13. Added the horn annunciator, but X-Plane repeats the horn even if muted. This is a bug in X-Plane. 14. Now the yoke menus don't turn black when instrument lights are off. 15. GPS, radios, numeric displays and radar are now visible without instrument lighting toned down. 16. Flight Director adjustments to perform as it should. 17. Added reflection to the front clocks at night when flood light is on. Also corrected copilot illumination when flood is on. 18. Fixed graphical artifact in the fog formation on some windows. 19. Included paint kit files to make custom liveries. Distribution of selfmade liveries are allowed for free, but selling files is not permitted. 20. Fixed the on/off switch for the GPS in X-Plane 10. 21. Fixed ACT label on ADF radios. As always, thanks for being a customer with X-Aviation. We appreciate your feedback and support! Enjoy these latest updates, and stay tuned to the forum as we continually announce the latest happenings.

Hi, Jim, As the Quick Operating Handbook file states: "To carry the little girl simply increase the payload weight over 265 lb. from the Aircraft/Weight and Fuel menu."

You'll need to go here: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=notifications There's heaps of options, but the one you are after is: Notification method to use for replies to followed topics

This has been addressed numerous times and the manual also addresses this. The aircraft has CCW rotating props, which in turn gives a heavy roll tendency to the right. You will need to trim and watch torque appropriately.

here is a workaround for the joystick situation
Cameron replied to kristjank's topic in British Aerospace Jetstream 32
The feature is for control surfaces to be locked when the aircraft is 'off' or unattended. This is common in the real world to prevent damage or movement of aircraft parts in scenarios like high winds. No. X-Plane remembers the last opened aircraft in a sim session, so if you open the Jetstream as your first sim session aircraft AND in your last sim session you had locked the control surfaces then it will be necessary to open a new aircraft other than the Jetstream. This will restore your joystick settings. In short, if you're about to exit X-Plane don't re-lock the control surfaces before exiting, or just open a new aircraft if you want to be like a real pilot and choose to lock the surfaces. All in all, it's not a big deal. -
We can certainly do so. If you have a list of suggestions you'd like to see don't hesitate to submit!

JRollon Releases BAe Jetstream 32
Cameron commented on X-Pilot's X-Plane flight sim news in Aircraft
64-bit is NOT supported, folks, and will not be until after 10.2 is final! Make sure you run the Jetstream in 32-bit! -
We've carried dmax since 2009.

Autopilot fix or mod for next version?
Cameron replied to Paraffin's topic in Douglas DC-3 (no longer in use)
I'm fully aware of this, and see A LOT more e-mails coming in than even posts here. It's quite easy to detect big problems and prioritize. Sorry to say, your link does not work unless I register there. -
Nothing here is shared. People come here and upload files here on their own, or vice versa. Some files are only here, some files are only "there." Some files are on both. Welcome to X-Pilot!

Then you have a work around and should be happy. For those that DO appreciate a more true experience, they can have it just as it already exists. -
Autopilot fix or mod for next version?
Cameron replied to Paraffin's topic in Douglas DC-3 (no longer in use)
We'll consider this though I don't make promises. To be honest, this has never been truly complained about save from yourself. I don't mean that rudely, it's just not perceived as a prioritized big issue. -
Installing X-Plane2Blender Scipts- Please Help
Cameron replied to ryancz's topic in Aircraft Development
If memory serves me right, after downloading and placing a script, there is a settings pane you need to configure to tell where scripts are located. This was the way it is in 2.49 at least. I am not totally sure on 2.64, but may be the same there as well.
