  1. I did the first full test flight today with the SkyMaxx "suite" all re-installed (including FS Global Real Weather and Real Weather Connector), and it went fine. I was using X-Plane 11.50b2 (Vulkan) and the Zibo Boeing 738. I deliberately picked a flight into a city where it was raining and cloudy, my home city in this case, of Montreal. The flight was from CYYZ (Toronto Pearson) to CYUL (Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau). Both sceneries are those of GloballArt. Yesterday, I had done a flight between the same cities, same exact route (even SID and STAR were the same), and landing runway, but I had totally uninstalled the SkyMaxx suite and used X-Plane's weather with live downloads every 15 minutes. The frame rates were always between about a low of 22-24fps to highs of 40-50fps, with averages ranging between 28-40. Today, the framerates, unfortunately were much lower, going down to about 12fps at one point and staying mainly the in mid 20s, averaging 14-20 with a cockpit view and higher with a sky view. If I tilted up the camera view from the tarmac of the airport to the sky, or even to include part of the sky, the framerates dropped significantly. I have a few screenshots here to show you. In fact, overall, the performance was almost the same for me, as with OpenGL on X-Plane 11.41. Just wanted to share this and see if anyone else had such issues. I have read of frame rate drops with SkyMaxx, and hopefully, this problem will be gradually fixed with later versions of both X-Plane and SkyMaxx, FSGRW, RWC. ** My graphics settings are exactly the same as with 11.41 OpenGL, so I have not increased them.
  2. Having an issue with sky maxx, just installed it and RWC last night and clouds are great, however my scenery which is the hdmesh by alpilot, is now not loading far away, shows me boxed in of a sort and fades into see through where i can actually see underneath the map as it were ... i have the xplane 11 rendering settings installed as well so wonder if it's something to do with that? - it gets worse the higher up i travel here's a few screenshots of the issue as you can see it kinda looks like the aftermath of a nuke. even just now on FINAL approach at just about 10nm out i cant even see the runway. here are my rendering settings another thing just noticed if i change the sky settings in sky maxx it shows the sun effect actually cocooned around my plane and not below the scenery/blended correctly in the image below you can see that
  3. Hi, I was experiencing some weird behaviour with MaxxSMP with changing visible weather and found this entry in my GizmoLog: debug: 64.946: gxt.load: MAXX_RWC debug: 64.947: gxt.load: XA_Activation debug: 64.954: screen w/h:1024/768 warng: 64.971: gxt.load: ErrorReport: FAILED: ext_info is nil, bad link? debug: 64.972: gxt.load: Shell debug: 64.972: gxt: Completed AutoLoad. is there anything wrong with my RWC install/activation or how to understand this ErrorReport? thanks in advance Oscar
  4. Good evening, Im having am issue where SMP does not draw an OVC layer at all. this is the METAR at KILM RWC settings are automatic, and never change visible weather is not selected, Cloud coverage is set to medium and Overcast representation is set to dense particles Thank you in advance, i mainly use the sim to practice approaches, so having proper overcast layers is very important to me thank you again for the product METAR.rwx Log.txt MAXX_METAR.rwx
  5. I just installed version 3.2.2 of SkyMaxx Pro and tried to install RealWeatherConnector. However, RealWeatherConnector said I must have SkyMaxx Pro 3.1.1 or greater?
  6. SkyMaxx Pro + RWC with the latest updates ... is still the best cloud and weather presentation addon for X-Plane and worth every brass penny! Thanks guys, for such a quality addon that gives me awesome skies and increased fps. I see lots of attempts to enhance X-Plane skies but none of them come close to the degree of technical professionalism, precision and artistry of SkyMaxx pro (and I do try those others on a separate X-Plane install just to see what's out there). Simply amazing. With the influx of people taking up X-Plane these days, I tell everyone I can; if you want awesome skies in X-Plane then it's SkyMaxx Pro ... period. Nothing else compares.
  7. hey folks, im using RWC together with SMP3.1.2 and the NOAA plugin, it worked pretty well in the recent time, but out of nothing, toggling Always mode in RWC causes X-plane to freeze ("X-plane 10 doesn't react anymore" win standart bull... massage...) to exclude the problem was noaa i disabled it and even uninstalling did not help... I have no clue what to do next :? Help is appreciated Btw can you give an number how much VRAM smp+rwc does take at full settings? i'm recently have my 4gb of vram full with smp enabled and disabled.. but i can't find a reason for this :? i have just standard scenery installed :/ Greetz

  9. Captains, With SkyMaxx Pro 3.1 now out the door and so much positive feedback coming back to us through various channels, we're ready for the next step: Real Weather Connector! We have completed our beta testing phase and the packaging for retail begins now. For those of you hearing about Real Weather Connector for the first time, Real Weather Connector couples with SkyMaxx Pro v3.1 when you have the real weather option selected in X-Plane. Without Real Weather Connector there is a limitation in the X-Plane plugin SDK which makes it impossible for products like SkyMaxx Pro to access real weather data in far out distances. Instead, you would see real weather ONLY for the area your aircraft is flying over, and it would be uniformly set for the entire scene (meaning you can't see overcast ahead if broken clouds are below you; the whole scene would be broken clouds instead). After a ton of work (more programming code than in SkyMaxx Pro v3 itself!), Real Weather Connector now makes this possible reading downloaded weather data from the default X-Plane real weather METAR file format OR a program like FSGRW (note: EFASS and NOAA are not compatible with Real Weather Connector as they do not provide the required data files for Real Weather Connector to be able to work its magic!). We have actually had rather spectacular results with the default real weather download functionality in X-Plane. These third party programs (like FSGRW) are optional, not required! So, again in simpler terms, Real Weather Connector lets you see different weather conditions in the distance, and fly into them smoothly, just like in real life. All of the clouds around you will be in the right place and at the right altitude, and won't just "pop" in as you fly. If you look closely at the screenshots below, you'll see there are many different weather systems and cloud conditions visible in the same view - that wasn't possible before with SkyMaxx Pro v3! Real Weather Connector will be released this coming Friday, April 15, 2016. As a thank you to our current customers, anyone who purchases SkyMaxx Pro v3 prior to April 15, 2016 will receive a discount to be used towards the purchase of this product! We will send out discount codes before the product goes live so you have the opportunity to purchase this product as soon as it's available. Of course, no final announcement is complete without a promotional video (and more screenshots below the video), so we're excited to show you that now! Further to the video above, check out some of these awesome images by @Yidahoo showcasing Real Weather Connector in action. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do! We'll see you in the skies with awesome weather scenes this Friday!
