I took off from the ground at KOKC and vectored myself on downwind at 3000. I loaded the approach from FILUM. Northwest of FILUM (still at 3000, below profile but that should not have been a problem) I tried to go direct (direct key) to the second instance of FILUM to bypass the holding pattern as is common practice. The FMS sent me direct the first instance of FILUM to enter the hold. I tried again to be sure I hadn't inadvertently selected the wrong FILUM and the result was the same. I then manually sequenced the second FILUM to "blue" to bypass the hold while still in FMS1 nav. This worked as expected. So that's one issue - I should have been able to use the direct key to go to either FILUM. Also, NAV to NAV transfer never happened. I had to manually switch to green inside IVEYI.

I know that in Boeings and other aircraft, ILS landings require that the approach course be entered into the FMS in order to properly acquire LOC & GS. Can anyone tell me if that rule applies to the TBM900 G1000? If so, I have found that to do so requires making the course setting while in flight (since it cannot be modified while the airplane is on the ground) bu switching the CDI to NAV1, entering the desired course using the CRS bug, then switching back to GPS mode. To reactivate GPS mode in the FMA it is then necessary to hit the NAV button twice. Can anyone tell me if I am correct, that course is required for ILS acquisition in this aircraft, and that the procedure I outlined is correct? Thanks. —SteveH

Hey I have flown the saab fpr couple days and today it stopped receiving ils frequency and showing only red loc text in the lower corners in the ehsi. I dont also get the deviation dots/diamond in the Eadi. I think my frequency is right since i got it from navigraph chart. I tried to recieve VOR and they seem to work. I use X-plane 11

How do I change the ILS course and glideslope displays from the default diamonds (as seen in the attached/pasted image) to bars? I've searched the documentation and tried to figure out the answer from carefully studying the panels themselves to no avail. Thanks in advance.

Hallo, I wonder if somebody will help me. I have read the manuals but I doesnt get it. I know that I will make a shortcut. I want to have a (short if possible) description how to land with ILS in Boing 777 professional. I will be very grateful if I can get help with this!

Hallo, Can anybody help me? I know I want to make a shortcut but I have tried to read the manuals and did not get it. I only want to have a (short) description how to make an ILS landing in Boing 777 professional. I know how to make an ILS landing in Boing 757. But this is more complicated I think. I would be very grateful if I can get help!

I have tried four times to use the ILS to runway three at Casper, WY (KCPR) and have not had the aircraft capture the glide slope, The localizer is captured but the Glideslope is not. The G/S indicator shows on the MFD but the aircraft does not follow.. I have not had that problem at East Texas Regional (KGGG).

Coming accross different forums, trying to find out how to get accurate navigation data to be included into X-Plane navdata source, I decided to fork the "official" navdata source and publish my corrections and changes into a github project. http://github.com/mc...-plane-navdata/ The Navigation data used in X-Plane depends on one single maintainer and thus the process of adding missing navigation data (e.g. VOR-DME's or waypoints) as well as correcting wrong data (misplaced airports and outdated waypoints) has to be submitted for review, before being included and released in new versions of navdata. I believe a collective distribution of corrected navigation data in a github repository would be much more efficient than depending on one single maintainer... Please feel free to contact me in case you are interested in including your corrected data and contributing to a more accurate x-plane navigation data source. Happy landing! Luther
