This thread has strayed from my original post...is anyone else experiencing such bad VR performance? Thx, Jim
-
@MVIrony - must be nice having your system! Out of curiosity, what is your PSU's rating? 1000W or more? I think mine is 900....
-
Hi MVIrony - your video card --> a 4090...mine is a 4070...I'd say that is the main difference in performance between your system and mine! (At a cost of $2500+ more).

Hi Coop - the 4K ones. Jim

Hi - nice plane, but VR performance is very bad, about the worst, if not the worst of all my addon aircraft. I'm using the latest XP12 release (12/24/24) and your latest 1.0.2 version also released 12/24/24. Quest 3 with airlink is an absolute no-go, and plugged in w/link cable is still very bad. My machine specs: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF 3.00 GHz, 64.0 GB RAM, Win11 home 12H2 build, and RTX 4070 GPU w/11 GB VRAM (I think that's the VRAM count) HDR is off. Would replacing my GPU with a 4080 (or even a 4090) help performance? My XP settings are all "average"/mid range for VR performance sake. Is anyone else experiencing such bad VR performance? Thanks, and Merry Christmas to all, Jim

Hi Jan, I just completed a successful flight (KLAS-KLAX @ FL240) with no pitch problems, using VS to initiate and modify FPM when needed to maintain the proper glide, so that seems to be the key/best way to manage descent....which is basically the same way I do it in XP11. Roger that about FLCH! Thanks, Jim
-
I had the same menu popping issue on both test flights while in VR. I did not switch back to 2D, so no crashes. It's definitely related to the mouse cursor position in the cockpit. Jim
-
Hi Jan, The winds stayed pretty consistent as I recall. When I initiated the descent, the plane dove at over 4000 FPM while rocking up and down, then slowly adjusted to the VS value set in the MCP. I hope you will have the same situations happen when you do those flights! Thanks, Jim

Hi Jan, Nose/plane rocking up and down severely, immediately upon initiating descent by VS (also with FLCH). The plane did descend, though. VNAV descent is still not working right for me. Real weather, 290 knots, 107.7 lbs, CG 22.1. I haven't had a chance to do another flight today to provide pics/vid. Something else I forgot about my initial flight KLAX-KLAS --> RNDRZ2 arrival to ILS 26L. At HOGOG, for the ils, the plane stayed on 083 heading and did not turn left to KODSE 020, nor left again at HUXAR 259 degrees. I went to HDG mode and tried to turn, to no avail, so I had to disconnect the AP and fly it manually. Second flight KLAS-KLAX the straight in approach to 24R was ok...no 180 turn needed. You may want to run those two test flights yourself: KLAX-OSHNN1 MISEN RNDRZ2 ILS26L KLAS, and KLAS-RADYR2 BLAQQ SHTNR ANJLL4 ILS24R KLAX. FL250 eastbound, FL240 westbound, real weather. Thanks, Jim

Hi Cameron - this has always been one of my favorite planes, and I know a lot has changed with XP12. I was wondering if anyone else has reported the problem I mentioned during descent using VS/FLC? I know this is the initial release for this platform, and as such, has a few bugs to be squashed! Thanks! Jim
-
Hi All - after 2 full flights, I have encountered the problem both times of extreme porpoising when engaging either VS or FLCH during descent. VNAV descent is still not what it should be. Has anyone else encountered this problem? That is the main problem I'm having....other than that, it's good to have her in XP12. Also, looking forward to improvements/bug fixes listed, and being able to load the plane and get CG from the menu, and NOT to have to use XP's W&B menu! Thanks for bringing this bird to XP12! Jim

Hi - it's 10:28am in CA, USA....any estimate of when the email with the discount code will be sent? -
Any chance for a -400 and -500 to complete the Classic series?

Hi Jan - that is great news! (I don't suppose there is any timeline for these yet? ) Thx! Jim -
Hi TomK - for me, it's been all about the altitude restrictions. If it says 18000A, it causes an extreme delay in descent for getting on glide. If I code it to 18000, it tended to work better with the older version and stayed on glide a lot better after changing all Above to the specified altitude instead. I've made a couple of flights since updating to 1.31, and it hasn't worked as well-->had to use VS to get to different altitudes necessary to get her back on terra firma, alternating with VNAV. Best of luck with re-coding all this! Jim
-
Yes, VNAV descent is definitely still wonky....have had to use VS to get to/stay on glide. I do hope this will be fixed when the FMC is updated. Great plane overall though! Thanks for your hard work on it, Dev Team! Jim

THANK YOU!!!! I just did a perfect flight from KLAX-KOAK in VR, running 11.50b9 - fantastic aircraft....I wasn't expecting this update today, so again, thank you guys very much!!!! Jim -
Thanks, Guys, it works now! Jim

Hi Cameron - the installer throws an error that it cannot create the directories when I run it. I run it as administrator....any ideas? "Error creating directory E:/X-Plane 11/Aircraft/X-Aviation/M20 Collection/M20TN Acclaim" Win10 latest version, 32GB ram, MSI Gforce 2080 TI w/11GB VRAM Thx, Jim

Thanks, Nick!

LOL, Nick! I hear you....yeah, I'm sure it would be a challenge to do that one, but I've asked for it before on this thread (several years ago), and nobody has done it....I have zero experience with livery painting myself.... Jim

How about SWA's "Arizona One" repaint.....please?!!!
-
Hi Jan - I've tried activating the AP immediately upon takeoff then hitting LNAV and VNAV, and it seems to do better...past couple of flights have gone OK. With VNAV, I've found that if an attitude is listed as 20000A, the plane will not descend unless I change it to /20000, and do it for all "A" restrictions listed, the plane will recalculate to hit those altitudes on descent to follow the profile correctly....more testing/flights to come! Thanks, Jim

Hi Tony - yes, I have the full goflight airliner captain setup including trim wheels. I also have a switch on my yoke for stab trim and one for aileron trim. I'll do another flight and if this happens again, I'll try your idea... Thanks, Jim
