ZR if your paying for a scenery package that includes an aircraft how do you consider that a free aircraft ? And if you want scenery that looks stunning take a look at the Christchurch airport scenery by Chris now thats stunning and its free. Your right though their decision was britiliant from their business side. If you end up paying $20.00 for each little scenery package how much would it cost to have the whole world scenery $$$$$$$. compare that to Xplane 10 for the price of about four scenery packs you can have the whole world and you get an ever evolving ever improving flight simulator that comes with a ton of aircraft and space flight and you also have accsess to hundreds of third party addons both free and payware . As dozer stated they are like drug dealers they get you hooked and then they make their profits . This business style is also used by printer manufacturers they basically give you a free printer and then than drain your bank acount dry with by selling you extremely over priced ink

I have never had Xplane crash to desktop I would think that windows would be managing the Ram with pagefile to unload currently unnecesary DATA I can see where having not enough Video ram could be a problem but its been along time since I have had less than 1gig and My next card will probably have 2gigs of videoram OOOps just realized you have a mac

why has Everyone got fps increase even on amd cards and mine drop whats up with that . I will say that I can now fly with thin High altitude clouds at 22-26 fps but over all My frame rate took a plunge. Just to add to this I was running with HDR on I have switched HDR off and my frame rates have come up I am able to run with a few more clouds at 30 FPS . It doesnt look as nice but I guess the cloud rendering is working better.

Baa Humbug Hopfully they will make seperate updater for Us AMD users so we can revert back to 10.04.4 or at least a seperate update without the nvidia mods

sounds like the they tweaked for nvidia but it killed amd performance They are going to have to make an nvidia and an AMD version .

Actually it flys pretty smooth at the lower frame rates I can fly with a few clouds and it does not get choppy till about 14 fps I was averaging 30-35 without clouds now its 20-25 without clouds . as far as the backup Chris BOING BOING BOING TWANG

Just updated to 10.04 beta 6 and my frame rates dropped they have apparently used some advise from the smart ?? people at Nvidia and have set up the open GL differently . has anyone with an Nvidia card tried this yet . also clouds look like smeared marshmellows . For me 10.04 beta 4 was almost perfect .
