So I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I sort my downloads by date, so I know I downloaded the the latest one yesterday. It prompted me to select 9 or 10, so I slowly, gingerly picked 10. Installed. I may be picky, but I'm not seeing any more impressive lights than were in the video - I was expecting an 'ooh' moment. I'm out right now, but if u pm me with things to look out for or files that can be verified, I'll check it out when I can. Thanks

Argh. Glump. Can't try it for another day. I downloaded it 24 hrs ago. Oh well, still comes up very well! God, it can't get any better!

What, it'll look better? Looked good to me, although the lighting still looked baked in to me. Is that the mod, proper lights? Not sure, the installer just asked me which directory, not the version. Do u need to pick a v10 acf in the directory?

It's alive in xp10! Quick video baking, magnificent bird gentlemen! The lighting is gorgeous, and more importantly, the fps on my pc is perfect at this stage of BETA. 18fps lowest, on takeoff, hdr day. Generally 25 :-)

Tom, have the lighting features for scenery objects changed? Eg any lighting tutes of explanations for v9 stay the same? Are new lights available, different colours etc? If I can stop flying in 10, i'm ready to experiment with lighting. Damn xp10, flying is getting in the way of scenery stuff!! Tx

They wish. But The Hovercontrol helinuts in fsx know of xplane's and Conex's abilities. Dodosim, the best heli maker in fsx, have a VERY LONG Huey project going and it is popular.

Thanks for those impressions! I've never piloted (one day I will, at least to get the kid hooked), but I'm a dreamer, and I've always guessed that flying can't really be THAT boring like fsx portrays it. That's why I gave up on it recently - I was flying VRS' excellent F18, but realised that even it was a doddle, easy to hold in position.

hehe, but I heard the fixes will allow those with Nintendo DS's to run it (but no HDR, yet)..

Flight Simulator Network has a doozy of a thread, I tried, but not being a RL pilot, I'm not pursuing it any more. The guy brings up a 4 year old 'paper'?? I feel a certain dread when I land the 747, never get that feeling in fsx. There you'll see another quick vid I did of that cool Shuttle situation! I think he was slightly impressed, got that much out of him.

I'll pay for a video of that! Any way to replicate? Cntrl-sh-F8?
