It's been a crazy few yrs in Oz, bushfires one year, then floods (in summer), continuing on like this. Our flora has never been greener, and the soil just can't soak up much more rain, leaving us all at risk.

that's a lovely job Leen! Obviously payware, and above average priced payware, restricts the no. of paints. But it's also the specialised nature of the skill. Not everyone wants to paint a plane, let alone do it at the levels of perfection you guys do it at. Eg I've dabbled in scenery, love texturing it because it's my creation, and often the object construction has been determined with a specific texture approach. But I doubt I'd ever do a livery, all those curves scare me! Might do one for humorous purposes though, but it'd need to be a must-do.

Xplane to take advantage of SLI GPUs? + be compatible with Nvidia 3D Vision? One can dream..Flying in 3D is sooo good! Plus a Comet. And a SAAB. And a 747-200. And some Tom K scenery. And a Beaver. All cheap too

Now that's a great suggestion for the poor Wylie! I also suggest doing your best to swap the i3 for an new i7 and add and SSD, maybe a new motherboard too, that helps (sorry, I'm only joking, although it might be a hint to look over ebay for something faster). I think my phone has more grunt now

For xp to perform reasonanbly, your computer needs a graphics card to take most of the load from the CPU, and also to help generate some of the nice effects like hDr (but I dont think you'll be trying that!).

Hi, what is the GPU that you are using? or is that most likely the main problem. Xp10 eats GPUs for breakfast.

Very sad Oliver. Must be a sober reminder of dangers faced. The flight track is telling. You can ser little flight deviations where the pilot is realising what is happening and even turns around, then loses consciousness.

And u can get a good converter plugin for Photoshop elements, which isn't as expensive as the full ps, from nvidia.

As the tute says, make sure you only apply one single png file for each object. A common frustrating issue is...make sure the PNG file name has no spaces in it! That can drive u mad. Your texture will appear in overlay editor or wed, but not in xplane.
