  1. Yes Joe, in Oz our worst mass killers are also well isolated and cared for- Julian Knight and Martin Bryant. Bryant's case was very similar to this, and one good thing that resulted was a massive semi-auto gun buy back and ban.
  2. So sad to hear Ola. A very cold, calculated killer, i feel sorry for the survivors as well, who will be mentally affected by this.
  3. Always good to see more contributors to xplane coverage Simon. That was a very long and thorough review too. Maybe have a value for money rating as well. Have fun, that's the main thing. I'm now finding it a chore, so have throttled back a bit while Chip is still running hot and lean!
  4. Ha, I could never fathom 2.4, but .5 is so much more understandable. Why do you export to to AC3D, for animation? Sheesh, blener animation, yet to understand that!
  5. Awesome Florian, those stairs are like a portal to another world. I was waiting for the sweep into the cockpit though!
  6. Looks fun guys. So Oliver, you're the one who needs a periscope to look out? You'll be a whiz at instrument rating at this rate!
  7. I hate to point out spelling and grammar mistakes in released products (if it's likely to be too late to fix) in case the developer's first language isn't English. But I wish more people were available to proofread stuff before release. On that note: any developer who's reading this, if you'd like someone to help spellcheck your work, drop me a PM. Ideally before you spend twelve hours baking 'Alieron Trim' into your cockpit textures. I won't ask for any payment; it just annoys me to see avoidable mistakes made... Nice offer Dozer- that cracked me up! You must be half-Aussie. I wont ever type wont again after seeing that Ad
  8. ..Everywhere!
  9. I was going to say "only in Australia", until I read the article more carefully... Pity the poor cleaning crew, not to mention the greeters at the other end! http://www.theage.com.au/travel/travel-news/peeing-drunk-gives-jetstar-passengers-a-spray-20110629-1gq8u.html
  10. Good one. That's a great candidate for a caption contest! Like "I like news radio...no, I want easy listening"
  11. Hehe, that is funny. I've spoken to Eric a couple of times before, but that was awhile ago now. Then again, my vids do try to make it look the best..
  12. hehe. Reminds me of when a work colleague brought in a lovely litter of fluffy pomeranians. Of course I had to walk up and ask her "how much are they a kilo?"
  13. This one did for a sec! Too cute not to share
  14. What a stunning rant. I do take issue with any reviews being deleted from the store, but after all that I don't know what to believe now! Yes, sometimes XA has teething problems, but they always do their best to fix them and give us much more personal service than I've ever seen. Thanks for changing your forum name David, I've done it too!!
  15. Are you kidding me? I'd much rather have the original. DC-3's weren't ment to be modernized. Ha, I doubt a DC3-NGX version would ever be possible, the screens would vibrate out of their housings!
  16. Great to see you here Guy, your Comet looks really special, great attention to detail! Bloody good for a first go. Wow, I never realised they were in service so recently, 1980 feels like only a decade or 2 ago :-)
  17. I'm really thick tonight, mints??? Pm me Ben if it's non-pc!! Boeing just announced 17 new orders for that 747-8, god it looks good even just on Telly.. They need to install those beeping parking sensors on the 380, like those other overweight SUVs.
  18. Bet Oliver's having fun! Even more 'action' I hear! : Airbus Superjumbo A380 Grounded at Paris Air Show The Associated Press | June 20, 2011 | 06:30 AM EDT Airbus' star jet was grounded after clipping a wing on a taxiway structure, the latest in a string of embarrassing incidents for the European planemaker at the launch of the aviation industry's premier showcase. The A380 superjumbo suffered damage to its wing tip Sunday after the slow-speed collision with a building at the Le Bourget airport, where the air show is taking place. The aircraft had been scheduled for demonstration flights during the show but these have now been canceled, EADS spokesman Alexander Reinhardt said Monday. The Airbus A400M military transport plane also had to cancel a demonstration flight because of what the manufacturer described as a minor gearbox problem, although the aircraft will still make a fly-over during President Nicolas Sarkozy's visit to the air show on Monday, Reinhardt said.
  19. "Sitting in the cockpit of an airbus was a sterile experience, they dont even smell like they should". Love that sentence Sopwith! A 747-200 Cold and dark, at night, yes that would be a cold start! No screens to heat or light you up with. Would love to hear more stories from those days.
  20. My flying's nowhere as good as Lukasz', but it probably never will be! http://xplane10.wordpress.com/2011/06/19/north-american-t-28-video-overview/
  21. Can't believe he still charges for these things. But seriously, I'd pay a dollar for a flea or fly to infest it with!! What's the smallest scale object you can build in xplane?! Challenge has been made! But god help it in >1kt winds..
  22. Makes me want to have another one year old..actually, no Thanx! http://www.thinkgeek.com/geek-kids/1-3-years/c682/ Edit:.interesting runway number! Is that equivalent of 60 in southern hemisphere?!
  23. good find Wow!
  24. Saw that a month or so ago, when I was exploring their ArmaII game. Now that is one nice looking game! But my DS has a better flight model, up/down, left/right..This one looks very promising though, a specific world/sim environment that might speed up the development. Nicola - I loved all those PS helo rescue games! great fun, and about as realistic as a CONSOLE could get, not that I've flown a real one..
  25. Yes, WAIT.. At least by then, you'll have integrated Skype and be able to play offline on your hip Windows Phone 8.2.22 while updating your Zune player via Kinect enabled hand gestures. Ooh goodie!
