  1. well that ship was the first one I ever modeled so it makes sense that parts of it look terrible (as well it looks to high because the water sim was to low, I could of made it higher but it was a 350 res simulation running across the length of an aircraft carrier...) and that corsair only took 3 hours to make so I didn't expect it to be perfect (I am amazed you didn't notice that the wildcat didn't have a tail and that the P47 didn't have gear bays (they were designed as background props so that is why they are lowish quality)
  2. So I spawned today to find this...
  3. I'll just leave these here...
  4. It is a little known fact that the B-17G could hover...
  5. So today I did a few minor and 1 major change first I changed the .HDR I use for the sky for a more mid-afternoon one and also increased the sky emmision value by 2.1 I also changed the gloss affect on the B29 fuselage (Material.035) to a more white instead of the grey I also moved around some of the static aircraft for my signature and FINALLY added props to the engines!!! oh and the major change was moving the camera EDIT: still am wondering how I hit D instead of T when typing to
  6. lol I was saying that as in you'll have to make the flight model but this plane will work never knew someone had actually made one (Now if only I wasn't running out of hard drive space I would download that (3 TB's isn't enough)) EDIT:Sorry I forgot total I have 4.48tb's of hard drive space 3tb on my main system
  7. Forgot to mention in my last post that I also made a new hangar for the B-29 here are some pictures of it
  8. So after taking a 5 month break from development (disadvantage of using 3D panoramas you get sick of them fast) I finally was able to look at my reference photos without just wanting to give up and modeled some more details in the back of the cockpit
  9. Guess its time for me to get a new processor then...
  10. actually you don't need 3 computers to run X-plane on 3 screens as you would think, in fact the performance difference from 1920x1080 to 5760x1080 is negligible (either that or my PC is CPU bound bigtime) and that is with high performance settings, don't know about the licensing thing but unless those two new computers don't have a modern Gpu (Nvidia 600 series+ IDK as far as AMD is concerned (got 2 DOA GPU's in a row from them once so I pay no attention to them)) you should be fine running 3 displays on one computer
  11. X-plane 11 confirmed???
  12. Render of a F4F-3S wild catfish And a Render of a Standard F4F Wildcat
  13. Renlamp if you decide to do the cockpit first here is a 5MP reference photo i found today when doing a google search as i was bored at the time Edit forget link, derp http://airandspace.si.edu/webimages/highres/WEB10778-2007h.jpg
  14. this is just my opinion but sometimes blueprints can be helpful but ONLY when the object you are making will mainly be modeled in top down view like a elevator or wing for example as that will help you get the shape down better otherwise i agree never just use blueprints
  15. some random Minecraft screenshots of thing i have built block by block And here's a 2 nice pictures of a beaver and a kittyhawk that i took
  16. \ That pretty much describes how i like to fly, or, in other words flying 10 feet above the ground doing mach 2.
  17. actually that's not strange at all to use them as speed brake and gear levers in fact i once considered picking up a 5th throttle quadrant to do just that but unfourtanetly i was already using all 14 of my computers USB ports so i could not
  18. He did that with ease. Unrelated but Jazaero since you have 2 throttle quadrants why not move one to the other side so that you can always use the one that is one the correct side of the airplane?
  19. What is the program you are trying to run this with? also check the settings menu there should be one for joysticks if the program supports them or try installing the saitek drivers onto your computer as that might fix the issue
  20. Out of curiosity how many watts does that 5.1 surround you have there use (mine uses 350wt)
  21. a HIGHLY modified Lenovo H450m which at the time had a intel i3 quad core processor @3.4GHZ a PNY Nvidia GTX 560 1tb hard drive and the stock motherboard and case however now it has a ASUS Nvidia GTX 670 a secondary WD Red 2TB hard drive and a rosewill blackhawk mid-atx gaming case also it should be noted that i can typically run X-plane 10 with near max object settings with max global shadows and hdr rendering and still achieve 20-30fps even at mega resolutions of 5960X1080 (why yes i do have three 23IN 1920X1080 displays!)
  22. Here's a picture of a cabin i modeled a while back here's another photo showing it with no textures
