  1. Hehe yea. I did re-fly the route again and made the turn earlier which worked out way better. VOR navigation is fun, but if you screw up it shows.
  2. I'm not sure you can or would want to in the Saab. Well I guess you could use the mini-gps for waypoints once you're over the ocean, but this requires hand flying the entire time. The mini-gps does not link to the AP system.
  3. Hey John, The cirrus clouds in that photo, they do come with Skymaxx? I would like that exact sky when flying.
  4. That is the HDR Cloud and Sky set. I have them installed while waiting for SkymaxxPro!
  5. I can't wait to get my hands on skymaxx pro
  6. From My flight from KLFT to KATL You can watch the full flight in the link below. http://www.twitch.tv/atomicfrawg/c/3038837 I am having way to much fun with this airplane
  7. You need to turn the knob to 108% then arm the CTOT. Also I found you have to push the CL's to the white bar on the TQ pop up. They seem to engage there. I think its 74%. anyway that's how I got it to work.
  8. Oh no sure would not.... But that being said. Its already amazing. I can't wait to see what this will look like.
  9. I have always been a fan of alpilotx's work. @alpioltx - will I need to delete the your old mesh's?
  10. I will just go ahead and post a little motivation.
  11. I reported this also in a different post, but Again I was unable to reproduce it. Mine occurred towards the end of a flight from KLFT to KNEW. I may have a video of it happening also (nope I deleted it). I would say an hour long flight. However I did not get a low mem warning. I just noticed textures missing and extreme FPS lag spikes. I then Pulled up task manager to see 15 of 16 gigs were being used. Again, I have not had that happen since and I fly this plane every night.
  12. How can you say everything, when you are using other peoples work?
  13. Ok wait..... So what parts of this did you develop? Just the installer?
  14. You will not be disappointed. Skymaxxpro will and the Saab has brought X-plane 10 to the next level. With the level of addons like these coming out, it will surpass FSX.
  15. That's what I'm talking about!
  16. You can just open it in a browser on your ipad or android. It is optimized for touch screens. They also offer a more in dept online flight planner browser, but it costs $49.99 per year. Which I guess is not too bad. http://www.flightprep.com/rootpage.php?page=PlannerInfo
  17. I found another tool that looks promising. http://www.navplan.com/ You can give it 2 airport and then select Vor to Vor and It will plan out the route. After it does that you can click on the report button at the upper left hand corner of the map and then select flight log. It will generate a PDF of your flight plan with the Freq's and Radials to fly on. You also can set options like fuel flow, GS, altitude, etc.
  18. Thank god you have a sense of humor.
  19. Oh and this to me is the most rewarding type of flying. You are involved the entire flight with the Nav system as opposed to punching in waypoints on a FMS and only clicking switches when necessary. I feel like I accomplished something, when I takeoff and Land at the airport I was navigating to.
  20. VOR to VOR is very simple once you get the hang of it. I have a Video of my Entire KLFT - KIAH flight using VOR Nav and VOR nav using HDG at Way points. What I don't show is the planning process and I may do a video this weekend showing how I formed the flight plan. The tools I used are: http://skyvector.com/ (great web based Real world charts / free) http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/ (I use this to get the ranges of the VOR stations and way point planning) http://www.airnav.com/ (Free airport charts / info)
  21. Sooooo. Since Redpiper1 is making videos..... Does this mean you are close to release? You do realize, I need this to complement my Brand New Shiny Saab.
  22. The VS "wheel" is not a wheel, its a switch. You have to click, hold, and drag. Up for for Neg and down for positive. 165kias is a bit high for 20' flaps. I'm usually gear down at 150 with 7' of flaps. 140 15' flaps and 130 ish 20' (which is probably on the high end)
