Ah! Ok, so, answering "No" was the correct option. Ok, thanks for the clarification. EDIT: "There is no new install model. The aircraft either uses Gizmo or it doesn't." :-) for me, probably due to any losses through translation, that means a "model", not necessarily as in "aircraft model" ...

Hey All ! Yesterday I pushed the latest version of the Torquesim Citation Jet 525 for X-Plane 12, and when I installed it I received a notification to verify if any of a list of products, including 2 other aircraft I also own (MU-2 and DC-3 v2) were installed in my sim. Since both were I answered "No" to the option for uninstalling Gizmo and opting for the new install "mode". I wonder if the DC-3 v2 and the MU-2 will also have this option in the near future. If that's the case, since both planes are usually resting unused most of the time in my "hangar" I surely wouldn't mind uninstalling both and reinstalling the one I am now trying to dedicate some time to learn - the Citation 525 - with the new install model. Later when the new installer packages are made available for the MU-2 and DC-3 v2 I could then reinstall with the new option?

DC-3 A-Aviation Plugin crashing "X-Plane 12.1.4-r3-c8d19b62"
jcomm replied to jcomm's topic in Douglas DC-3 v2 - Released!
Well, sorry, after posting saw: I'll see if it works... [EDIT]: It worked! Problem solved... Anyway, would be great if they fixed it... it's been a while since this DC-3 was released :-/ -
Tried to install the DC-3 v2 in X-Plane 12.1.4-r3-c8d19b62, but when I start Xp12 and try to load the DC-3, the ACTIVATION window pops up and after that X-Plane CTDs. The Mitsubishu MU-2J and the Citation 525 loaded OK. Ah, ok, I see, although it's a bit of a mess always having to use the calculator to convert from data in SimBrief to metric system ... Easy peasy... Duh! (me) ... In SimBrief simply choose LBS instead of KG :-)
-
Hi, but in the W&B sheet, from the Citation 525 XP12 menu, how can I get the units into Kg ? It's displaying in LBS.

Hi All, late to the party, but as they say, better late than never :-) I am finding it really "complex" to assign proper controls to the mixture in this DC-3... I was finally able to find a way to assign buttons in my T.16000 to Left and Right Mixture Lever Up/Down, but the Left and Right mixture pads I can't find them in the list of assignable functions? Another two problems I am facing and couldn't yet find how to properly solve are the assignment of pitch tri to the default XP12 pitch trim datarefs, as well as tailwheel lock toggle command available in default Xp12 list of commands... When I use it it doesn't work in the DC-3 :-/ Any hints / suggestions really welcomed !

Solved! They're Online ... Overview - Leading Edge Simulations DC-3 v2 (airfightergr.github.io)

Just installed the DC-3 v2 in XP12, browsed the aircraft folder looking for manuals, but found none :-( Where are they? Thx !

Mu-2(2.1.0) - Pax and Fuel Load Manager
jcomm replied to OneOffRegistrationUser's topic in Mitsubishi Marquise MU-2 v2
Ok, so the default plane comes with a fixed set payload/pax configuration? That's why couldn't find how to adjust pax and cargo through the XP12 loading screen ... -
TOGA Simulation MU-2 Marquise v2.1.0 Update Released!
jcomm replied to Cameron's topic in Mitsubishi Marquise MU-2 v2
@Cameron, my fault for not reading the Manual :-/ I was totally unaware that THROTTLE 5 axis was the one to be used for proper throttle assignment for users with single throttle hardware axis. Thank you! -
TOGA Simulation MU-2 Marquise v2.1.0 Update Released!
jcomm replied to Cameron's topic in Mitsubishi Marquise MU-2 v2
Hi, just installed and took it for a ride. I have a problem with the throttle levers not moving in the 3d cockpit, although at times they appear to be functional when I move my hardware throttle. The Prop levers do move. -
X-Scenery MU2 v2.0 Progress Report 3 (General Update)

When will v2 be released for XP12 ? -
Thx Litjan. I understand it is not a "Must have"...

iXEG 737 Classic... Been looking at some videos. I noticed that when an engine fails inflight, or is shutdown, the readings on N1 and N2 drop to 0, there being no windmill effects ? Is the iXEG turbine model using the default XP10 turbine simulation ? I thought it used an external model ?

RWC is not working atm, METAR download fails.
jcomm replied to frontendrob's topic in Real Weather Connector
Just a side note. As Austin had told me yesterday, the just released 10.50r3 has also restored METAR D/L. Not sure about the wind & turbulence GRIBs... -

Until 2019 both formats will co-exist. From there on, xml only. Anyway, this info pertains to the GTS ( WMO ) and I guess NOAA just makes it available to the public by "courtesy". I don't know what NOAA's plans are for this particular service. I'll try to find more and post here next week. -

jcomm replied to frontendrob's topic in Real Weather Connector
Well, I work at the Portuguese MetOffice ( @ LPPT ) who is the Portuguese member of WMO / ICAO for Aviation Weather. The info is based on the official WMO GTS circuits ( and other ) we use here for our mission. I do not know if NOAA will make available the xml version in the future, but their "Best Practices" document in the following link gives some hints: https://www.aviationweather.gov/dataserver/bestpractices -

jcomm replied to frontendrob's topic in Real Weather Connector
Further to this, I would like to add: 1) Austin confirmed adding the new servers to the next 10.50 update; 2) Starting January 2017, all METAR ( WMO - GTS ) dissemination will be text and xml based; 3) Starting January 2019, only xml based dissemination will be available ( WMO - GTS ). So, weather injector developers should start playing with the future syntax and query system, described at one of the links I posted above :-) -

The download is apparently still possible from the altrenate URL: http://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/data/observations/metar/cycles/ -
