  1. I am doing my best spreading the word. I have mentioned it already several times on www,simflight.nl. The last posting was here: http://www.simflight.nl/2014/03/07/world2xplane/. Maybe you don't understand everything, thats not strange because the language is Dutch my friend. To me this is one of the important tools for getting X-Plane on a higher level. So thumbs up for this marvelous project.
  2. Congratulations, I have announced it at http://www.simflight.nl/2014/03/06/levendige-kleuren-x-plane-met-maxx-fx/ for the Dutch X-Plane pilots.
  3. OK, Tony you do a very good job here, but what an awful colors here with the OSM-objects, or could you get this in control also?
  4. And I would like a detailed DC-3 a sort of accsim package for the DC-3.
  5. @Harry Cul: Can you confirm this, e.g. by posting a link, I haven't seen this on the sites of nvidia yet.
  6. Sometimes I find a cause of a problem myself. In the default apt.dat one node had a too sharp bezier curve. While shortening the arrow the taxiway becomes visible (after searching for hours!). OK now I can do my next steps to fill the airport with objects creating another airport for Ben's global airports attack plan.
  7. Same here, I use an 4GB GTX 770, because I saw a serious drop-down in fps when using heavy scenery with my older card.
  8. In X-Plane I see the following problem: - Importing the apt.dat for EHLE shows invisible runways for EHLE - Flying X-Plane shows the same problem - Making a new taxiway will be visible - The problem differs slightly while using the default mesh or the HD Mesh. See also the attached files. It looks like the default and HD Mesh does not connect very good with the (elevation?) data in the apt.dat I have seen similar problems als with a freeware addon of KBOS. My questions: - What is this problem? - Is this a bug in X-Plane? - How do I get rid off this problem (I prefer a method without rebuilding all the taxiways)
  9. I like developments that sets new standards, so I like Skymaxx
  10. As I have seen before in earlier video's the transparancy changes are not that fluent (while entering and exiting a cloud). Have this something to do with the performance issues, or is this an area where you are still working on?
  11. Thanks, all problems solved here, maybe a minor point that I also had to click, drag left-right and hold for the VS manipulator instead of Up and Down which I was expecting. But nevertheless It works!
  12. While flying the SAAB I never see the status lights of the AP in the MCP turned on, however the AP works correctly. See also the screenshot. A second problem I encounterd that is it is not possible to change the vertical speed with de UP-DN Pitch Wheel (I suppose it is the ball which you can turn left-right for HDG) and up-down for Picth/Vertical Speed. Besides this changing HDG with the Turn Knob is almost impossible; dragging it the whole screen it changes maybe 1 or 2 degrees. What am I doing wrong here.
  13. An addition: I have tested some further with a yoke while it was vibrating and centered not correctly, but no problem occured. To me it seems 99,99% that the problem was connecting a joystick and not cleaning the assignments after use of it. Now it is up to LES to decide to accept this problem or to resolve it. EDIT: Same problem today, but after plugging out of the yoke before restarting X-Plane did the trick. It seems that the SAAB do not like moving yokes while starting an engine.
  14. Thanks for your suggestion. I have troubleshoot further on this one. Normally I have only a yoke (Saitek) connected, with rudder pedals and quadrant. But because my son wants to fly a glider I had connceted a joystick (Trustmaster) and assigned the roll and pitch to it. After flying the glider I disconnected the joystick and shut down the computer. But I had not deleted the assignments of the joystick. After a restart of the computer to fly the Saab I encounterd the problem. After your suggestion I connected the joystick again and deleted the assigments. Then an autostart gives the same problem as before. So I quit X-Plane and did a clean restart. After selecting the autostart the plane starts as normally. I think this could be the problem, but maybe there is (also) another problem, because I have to reset my yoke (plugging out and in the usb-cable) because it is not centered and it vibrates a bit. After resetting the yoke centers well again. This is a structural and frustrating problem. I don't think this was the problem for starting the SAAB because the fault in the yoke is structural and earlier starts of the SAAB gave no problem. But for the completeness I mentioned it also, so we don't have to overlook a problem/solution.
  15. Thanks for the great plane! This evening I could start only one of the engines. The engine which didn't start hangs on 32 degrees (temperature). I have tried to restart Gizmo and restart X-Plane with no succes. Also the auto-start gives problems. It is not always the same engine. Before restarting X-Plane I could start engine 1 and engine 2 stays dead. After the restart of X-Plane engine 1 couldn't start but engine 2 had no problems. See the attachment for a picture and the log files. GizmoLog.txt Log.txt
  16. OK, but then there is some work to for LR or others to make a save option work. If I speak for myself I make seldom flights for more than an hour, so a good save option is a great wish.
  17. The deflation of these products were very large I saw. See it as a compliment from the .org as they need to bring their prices more in line with the SAAB. Don't worry at all, I saved my money for the SAAB and got it. For the coming months no other plane needed. Sorry .org.
  18. Because in creative worlds a deadline will always be fully used, because you see always new things to change, to test etc. So a deadline is needed to limit the timeframe. Extending deadlines means only more days to work on the project. And a plane also needs some time after touch-down to come to a full stop. Please give them that time... EDIT: oops I made many typos, so i have corrected the ones I saw ... my bad English got even badder worse while typing on a smartphone
  19. Ok we will wait what atc will say. Maybe there are strong crosswinds or so, or another go-around is needed or the Saab is on final approach.
  20. Some patient please. We still have a lot more than 20.000 seconds to go.
  21. Congratulations with the result of your hard work, congratulations with taking the time you need to create a plane that raises the bar, congratulations for your perseverance to withstand all the demands, critics, false statements and finally congratulations with your courage to extend the releaseperiod to bring us the most perfect plane.
  22. I am almost afraid to ask if the mini GPS can be used in other planes... so that after buying the SAAB, the mini GPS also works in the B727 from FlyjSim. Then this fantastic feature may attract even more users to the Saab.
  23. No, in that case the AP is not the problem, because by a restart of X-Plane the AP is off. 1. You can troubleshoot further to look at the values of the flightcontrols via "Data Input & Output"; do you see changing values while using the yoke? 2. Is the yoke set up correctly? (if the yoke works in an other plane, than the problem specifies to the DC-3)
  24. @jcomm Maybe you accidentely activated the autopilot (by pressing the assigned key for it)? In that case the controls get frozen.
  25. Thanks for the replies, these could be useful This seems difficult to me. What value do I have to change and why have the developer not applied these values? I have tested changing fuel tanks and I come with the following findings: - While zooming in (because you want to read the text of the switches) it becomes far more difficult to select the right switch, it seems that the screen is to small - At the top of the screen the the manipulator reacts you need much more space to change the switch. At the bottom of the screen it is much easier to select the switches (maybe zoomlevel and perspective are possible causes?) Then the story goes further... My boss asked to exercise some crash landings with a retracted landinggear so I can do this safe. After taking off from runway 32 of ENSO I closed the throttles and return to the airfield. Applying full flaps to get as slow as possible I land with as less as possible vertical speed. The fire-alarm of the engines start screaming when hitting te groudn, not strange when the propellers hit the ground, but then the gear get extened and the plane roses and come to a stop just beside the runway. Problem 5: Why is the gear extracting when making a crash-landing with gear up? However in many planes a crash landing ends in skiing very long distances over the ground, which is not very realistic I suppose After the plan got repaired (a special thanks to the mecaniciens of X-Plane for their hard en quick work) I flew to ENBR. No problems occured but I got an idea for a possible feature (probably for X-Plane as a whole). In flight I switched the radiofrequencies to the VOR of ENBR, a short moment I had no idea if I flew correctly, because I did not see any instruments or the environment. For a moment the plane banked and the passengers got upset of the strange maneuvre. Idea 1: Is it possible to have some very basic gauges (e.g. attitude indicator, v/s indicator, airspeed indicator and a NAV-instrument) in the bottom of the screen as an overlay. This can help me to fly correctly while being busy with changing Radio frequencies, Fuel selections, monitoring instruments). Of course it would be nice to activate the overlay with a button or key so you can see it when you need it. I have seen something like this in Rise of Flight. OK after all I made a very good landing an ENGR (no jumping or bumping, while the approach was very steady keeping the lights of the runway 2 red and 2 white all the way). End good all good!
