  1. Wow, that was fast! I have not finished reading the manual yet (my copilot insists that a constant dipper change and a warm milk bottle are a priority). Thanks for the update, and happy holidays to all.
  2. Thank you! You are the best. And yes please, relax and enjoy the holidays, your family deserves a piece of you too. I don't expect to hear from you until at least next year. I forgot to mention Cameron in my previous reply, I am sure he had a lot to do to resuscitate the CRJ and to make it available to all of us. I am sure he does not get credit enough. Not only for providing the best products for X-plane and excellent support for all of them, but hosting the best community site for us to exchange ideas openly and freely. Happy holidays to you too. May the new year be full of blessings and pleasant surprises for you and your family.
  3. I hope the experimental is the bare metal . I agree with the fun to make. I made 2 for the crj one fictional (Aeromexico connect because they don't fly CRJ, the use Embraers) and Aeromar, another mexican airline thatis right now the only airline that Flies CRJ200, Mexicana used to have CRJ200, and also Alma , but both went bankrupt. (not because of the CRJ's Looking forward for the update with the extra liveries and the paint kit, especially for the 64 bit perhaps in a future update. but for now I have my hands full, although there is a rust spot on the floor of the cockpit or maybe is is due to the drool caused by the amazingness of it. It took me a while to get may hands around the CRJ and for now learning to fly this new baby is enough. Thank you very much Javier! As you say in your video, it shows the love and dedication you put into it. As soon as I can I will get the other planes from your site that don't have yet to support your efforts and to encourage you to keep making amazing addons for X-Plane, this awesome flight simulator that many of of enjoy so much. The number of users is growing and with them potential customers, not just for your products but for all the rest of the amazing products offered through of x-aviation. This might be a little off-topic but I have been following you work since I discovered your previews of the CRJ in x-plane.es and have seen the beautiful model of the A320 you have in the hangar, I understand the limitations you have as one man enterprise, and that you can't play all the instruments in an orchestra . In my humble opinion that would be guarantied success. I was the lucky winer of PA A321 in an IVAO event this year, and I like the amazing job Peter has made simulating MOST of the systems of the plane. I am not a pilot and specially not an airliner one, so I don't really know how close to the real thing this is but i am sure it come pretty close. He has devoted many hours programming if not years, and he is also a one man show, but one thing that stands out is the lack of detail in the 3d model (he can't play all instruments in the orchestra neither) is a great add-on but lacks the immersion sensation one gets when siting in one of you cockpits. Phillip has done a great contribution to bring the CRJ back to life (I was so disappointed when i read the news of end of the CRJ project) and I am sure he has the talent to program all the systems for the A320, but I would like to have that baby before X-Plane 15 comes out. Perhaps you and Peter could combine talents to bring one of the most popular jets to the market and set new standards in aircraft development for x-plane once again. A product like that would definitely bring a lot of die hard MSFS crowd to X-Plane world, and could mean a great success for both of you. well earned and deserved by the way. I would like to continue typing but I know that time reading and answering is time not working just a suggestion anyway, go back to what you love so much and make a bunch of us happy , Merry Christmas to you.
  4. One I would really like to see is an all metallic without tail number or any other markings (like out of the factory line in bare metal). I LOVE the metallic textures of The Mentor. I have tried to make all metallic or at least partial for liveries like Aeromexico or American Airlines, some were not so bad, but when I saw the metallic Mentor I was really impressed. To tell you the truth, that was the tipping point that made me decide to buy The Mentor. Only you can achieve something like that. I know that at least for the time being there are no real reflexions in X-Plane, and for the awesome reflexions in the cockpit you had probably to create an object that moves depending of the view point or something like that, and to make a shiny aluminium that reflects the clouds or blue sky, objects around the plane on the ground and such is impossible, but your textures of the T34C is the most beautiful paint I have seen in X-Plane or any other simulator. Please, please, please
  5. It is not 64 bit compatible yet. I believe the 64 bit version will come out as soon as 10.2 is out of beta. I works fine on 32 bits. I do have an issue with the window and the door, they just wont open: when I pull the window handle it flickers and wont open the window. The main door just wont open the door handle moves but the door remains closed. I have not even started the engines yet. Just got the bird and my little copilot between dipper change and food, has not allowed me to go beyond trying to open the door and window. As always Javier, you have done a magnificent piece of art. Feliz navidad y que el año que entra este lleno de bendiciones y sorpresas gratas para ti, Teo y tu señora esposa. Y sobre todo salud.
  6. Thanks for posting... Go Austin!
  7. haha, no but there will be more spiritual apps in the App Store
  8. No Mayan text has ever referred to the end of the world at the end of their calendar. It is the end of the current long count which began in 3114 BC. The equator of the Milky Way galaxy (Galactic Equator) and the path of the Sun (the Ecliptic) cross each other at exactly 11:11 am GMT on December 21, 2012. The Sun on the solstice will be almost perfectly aligned with the plane of the galaxy (the Milky Way galaxy). This precession of the equinoxes goes in a complete circle and happens only once every 26,000 years. According to the Mayans we are entering a new age ... evolving into the shift towards a more Eastern, or spiritualist, way of life. The Western way of life, and the worship of material goods, progress, and capitalism, has accelerated its way headfirst into battles and wars for hundreds of years. it is Time to Activate & Transform.Their civilisation did not end, unless you consider the invasion and conquest by the spanish. They did not vanished or disappeared, they still live and in large numbers, they don't build pyramids any more, now they build hotels. And the picture above is NOT Mayan, is the Aztec. The Aztec Calendar even though it has similarities has significant differences. The one depicted was actually used to count the passage of time in a 360 day cycle (plus 4 days out of time which were used for meditation and cleansing). The Mayan Sacred Calendar, which is the one being referenced for the supposed end of the world (end of time for them) is a smaller version that measures cycles of nature in a 13:20 ratio, this creates a 260 day cycle which is more related to lunar and solar activity, this in conjunction with the 360+4 calendar creates a 52 years cycle (of our gregorian calendar). The Gregorian Calendar was established in 24 February 1582 and with it's institution all other calendars were only kept for religious and ceremonial purposes (like the chines and the jew calendars). Before this date most civilisations counted the cycles of time in moon cycles (13 months of 28 days) which are more acurate in measuring cycles in nature. The only thing that the gregorian calendar is accurate is to know when "pay day is"
  9. Latest news is that the end of the world has been cancelled due to bad weather
  10. Oops, I finished the conversion of MMMY (monterrey Mexico) and started the conversion of MMMX (Mexico City) but again WED gives me an error importing the apt.dat. Here is the file in question, perhaps you can enlighten me once again , Thanks. apt.dat.zip
  11. Thanks Chris once again, you have got to stop this or else I will end up buying you the plane ticket to Brussels . Indeed I had an older version of WED installed. I have another question though. When I convert and import some FSX sceneries, some objects appear to be floating on the air, aca the elevation is not 0. I know that sceneries is MSFS do not follow the terrain contour, but is there a way to modify this objects to make them touch the ground? Thanks.
  12. Hello, I decided to lay down OE for now and give WED a try. I converted a FSX scenery using FS2XP and encounter quite a few issues that need fixing. The scenery loads in XP 10.20 b8 with no problems, and also I can open the package in OE, but when I try to import the apt.dat into WED it reports a syntax error and does not open the file, this happens with this and other sceneries that I am trying to convert. I don't know where to find a document that explains the proper syntax for apt.dat files. here is the file: apt.dat.zip
  13. One of the things that made the wait for the CRJ more bearable were the wonderful videos that Javier made. I know that with the arrival of the little copilot and the extra work for laminar your schedule must be tight, but if you could find the time to put a preview video for this work of art showcasing not just the excellent model, texture and lighting, which we can enjoy in the screen captures. A video shows the animations, effects, sounds, etc. I am already drooling over this and can't wait to buy as soon as it comes out, but will definitely love to see another great video preview.
  14. Excellent work guys, thanks for sharing it with us. I usually fly around Europe and Mexico, areas where I am familiar with, but with this kind of add-ons (YSSY, YPAD and the latests New Zealand Pro by alpilox) I am moving to the far side of the world.
  15. And then run the partition on VMware Fusion or Parallels Desktops so you don't have to reboot.
  16. Another solution for those who still need and use PPC apps is bootcamp partition to run 10.6.8 an those apps. Just a thought

  21. I was also looking for the instructions in the manual on how to open the doors and activate the ground services but is not covered in the manual.
  22. Awesome! Will this work in all platforms or is it windows only? I would love to try it if is Mac OS 10.8 compatible.
  23. How do you open the doors? I could not find the instructions in the Manual.
  24. Wow! amazing. Is this going to be a payware or a freeware? I guess the birds are going to have a good hiding place in that grass. and you can put some of the Doritos in the grass so the birds don't go to the runway. And a question to Chris since he is the WED addict, ... Have you taken a look at Lukla in XP10 (VNLK)? is there a way to fix the slope of the runway? There are some really sharp edges on the runway that makes it impossible to land without crashing, not even starting at the rwy is posible with engines running, the plane crashes on start.
