  1. I have never before heard or personally experienced a difference in reliability tied to HDD capacity. I have been running 600GB and 1TB Raptors for years without issue. My son has a bank of 2TB Blacks in his machine that have been rock-solid as well.
  2. XP 10.30b7 2,040GB of which 1,947GB is custom scenery XP 10.25 59GB which is a clean install for backup All of the above on a RAID5 using WD 10,000rpm 'Raptors Must. Get. Moar.
  3. ...because I'd rather have a nasty case of Hep-C than spend any amount of time on Faecesbook.
  4. I'm sure your enthusiasm is well appreciated, but that still remains to be seen...
  5. That's really too bad. You have no idea what you are missing...
  6. Has the instancing issue been corrected yet on the Mac drivers for Nvidia?
  7. Looking forward to this update, whether I need to pay up for it or not!
  8. I feel compelled to respond during my hiatus: 1. I agree that it is difficult to avoid the news of the games. But given my type of work and my work environment, it is indeed possible to avoid 99% of it. 2. Nowhere did I suggest for anyone here to "hush" during the World Cup. In my first post I merely suggested to host game discussions in a thread named in such a way that does not give away any results. That's all. I do realize it is difficult to contain the excitement of the matches. 3. Thank you. I appreciate that.
  9. Brilliant! I would have never thought of this. The point I was trying to make has been clearly missed. I'll be outta here for a while... Enjoy!
  10. Actually, there are ways to avoid spoilers. I just thought I could politely ask for some consideration here, thinking that a niche forum would normally be a "safe" place. Obviously, I am mistaken. I guess I will have to avoid X-Pilot.com for the duration of the World Cup after all.
  11. While one can certainly understand the enthusiasm for cheering one's team on in the World Cup, those of us who are unable to watch the games live do not appreciate the unavoidable spoilers when viewing the main page. Now there is no point to watching my recorded game(s). I'd rather not have to completely avoid X-Pilot.com during the entire World Cup tournament. Please, if I could offer a friendly suggestion: create a thread called "World Cup Results (spoilers inside)"
  12. I did. Then I read the others...
  13. 1. But you did. 2. But you didn't. See posts #4 and #7.
  14. So he should just eat the cost for your benefit? As Tsetsoh said, use it, or not. No one is holding a gun to your head.
  15. Global shadows in rendering settings. You'll need a strong GPU.
  16. Suit yourself. Have a nice day. You wasted enough of mine.
  17. Ointment, you're wasting your time. He had his mind made up from the very beginning. Besides, by his own admission, he needs the money to get a real pilot's license. Selling the FF 757 might likely pay for a half-hour of instruction.
  18. FF's email address is given in the Manual and Operations Manual in the DOCs directory of the aircraft. For future reference, EULA'a are often agreed to implicitly by your use of the licensed software. You'll get the info you need from FF.
  19. You still don't get it... From the same question you asked on the Org forum, it appears you wish to sell your license of the FF 757. Send an email directly to Ramzzess or Philipp. Their response, not your opinion, is the only one that will matter.
  20. You bought a license to use, not own. (That's why it's a EULA, as in End User's License Agreement.)
  21. Like I said, take it up with the developers as they 'technically' still own the software. You only bought a license to use it.
  22. First thing I would check is the EULA of any of the software in question. The fear on the part of the original author of the software is that the software could theoretically be sold "second hand" multiple times thereby costing the original developer revenue. I'm not suggesting that it is what you might be doing, but that is an issue very difficult to verify. Unfortunately, one's word is often not enough. For the most definitive answer, the thing to do is to take this issue up with the developers of the software, not the distributor.
