  1. Id like to share some more real world goodness, another look at low visibility with SkyMAXX:
  2. Read a few posts back......
  3. 1st Low visibility conditions this is an expected result, Id like to see a SS of what you are referring to so I can confirm this..... 2nd For that effect try this..... 30,000 ft --cirrus layer 10,000ft-7,000ft-- Few cumulus 2,000-4,000ft --cumulus sct Set visibility to CAVOK Goto the SkyMAXX UI and set the min & max cloud sizes higher......... This should give you those large puffy white clouds you are looking for.... -John EDIT Our cloud conditions correlate with the default weather settings...... What I mean is if you select cirrus a cirrus layer is created or overcast an overcast layer is selected, so on and so on........of course our interpretation is different over the default......
  4. Before I go out and purchase an aircraft that will probably sit in my hanger can I ask you flydav to give me a hand here?
  5. Now Tom I need your setup....look at those frames. Im glad you are happy and thanks for support our efforts My intention was not to include your sky colors although I feel they look great with SkMAXX, ya know the deal distributing freeware along with payware can create a few issues.
  6. Quick fyi we are working on a 1.2 release to address the pausing issue. As far as the weather switching skymaxx does not write to the weather engine....I may need to pick one of those aircraft up to test... Very courious situation you have going on there.....
  7. Hahaha
  8. Everyone take cover!
  9. I set AI to fly the aircraft and have been at it for an hour with no changes from startup. Definitely take a look at your plugins folder and make sure it is cleaned up.....
  10. Cool thanks for stopping in, I myself don't see anything out of the ordinary in your log.txt Have you had a crash in X-Plane? Or just high memory usage in windows?
  11. Finally picked up SMP I see....LOL
  12. And one more under different conditions.......
  13. Here is one with low vis towards a low sun.......
  14. Just a few shots Id like to share of my experimental GC textures (using normal maps) and HD mesh......
  15. yeah I cannot reproduce that issue....SM doesn't touch the weather engine
  16. Do you have the NOAA plugin installed? Reason I ask is if you have it installed and not turned off you will not be able to use real world weather....... I know you said you are not using NOAA in your post but curious as to if you have it installed or not.....
  17. Actually the default do the same thing, be it a much slower fade..... Noted guys......
  18. Here are a couple, real world weather outside of Philadelphia...... http://imgur.com/a/xUOXB#0
  19. Evangelos, It is because of real world weather, from the weather dialog did you see that big open area you were flying towards? The default weather engine tells SkyMAXX that there are no clouds and SM responds by shutting them down this also happens with the default clouds. You are essentially in an area with no clouds......
  20. Ah change the cloud layers in the weather dialog to bring them back....shutting off the plugin from plugin admin and then turning it back on will not restart the clouds. You will need to do it manually....
  21. I'd like to see a video of your definitive claims. The reason I ask for such is this isn't even remotely how the cloud engine works and we are having a hard time trying to understand your issue. If you give us some time we can help you and the community out.
  22. We will look into this
  23. It could be, but we first need more access in X-Plane.....
  24. Great Michael is it released yet?
  25. Sorry been all over the place.......I made a claim that all updates will be free for the life of UM . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . And I am going to hold to that claim (even though its going to be a pain in the butt)
