  1. Great! I am glad we were able to find a solution......
  2. Hey guys linked is a full resolution image of UM 3D, with the new HD mesh from Alpilotx we finally have the ability to place textures in the urban environment with population density..... Now that I have some time off work, no worries Ill be enjoying turkey, I thought it a good time to play around.......Very early look but the concept is sound... http://i.imgur.com/SUvYJfD.jpg
  3. Hahaha thanks, I will be setting some time aside for turkey day!
  4. Clouds will change color depending on time of day but it will not be the same as the default shaders.... I provided that link so you can see the expected result of a dawn dusk transition...
  5. Cameron has a good point.....
  6. Daikan, I get some variations from these 3 settings, some users have had to do some housekeeping on X-Plane prior to an install of SkyMAXX. Have you given this a try yet? And if you can provide some comparisons that would be most helpful....
  7. Thanks for the report lets see if I can reproduce the issue......
  8. Seriously though you have a great eye for screenshots!.......
  9. o_O
  10. Hmmm.... Here is one from canox id like to share....... http://imgur.com/Riy7FmH
  11. And the X-Plane 10 shock begins again. Alright lets smooth this over some, out of the box there is very limited airport scenery in X-Plane 10. If you look in your custom scenery folder you will see a bunch of legacy airports from Aerosoft. Now with that being said Laminar Research has developed a way for users to submit airports to be included with future updates. Right now I think we have almost 300 or so user submitted airports and expect this number to grow in the future. Can someone else chime in and help this new user find where the list is for these user submitted airports?
  12. Can you try it having volumetric fog enabled just a shot in the dark while I am testing....
  13. Yeah we didnt implement cloud shadows..... puzzling.....
  14. I hate to point you in this path but Mitch was pretty disgruntled also. It may be an issue somewhere within your install causing a problem now he is back on board.......
  15. Maybe this is helpful: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/427390-skymaxx-pro-another-winner-from-johnand-retraction/ Just a shot in the dark guys, with the complexity in hardware and software it may be time to look at the overall setup........
  16. Thanks for helping out!
  17. Work-Wife-Kids-XP myself 5 kids BTW my house looks like the inside of a clown car........
  18. Nah dude not at all X-Plane is different for all of us and if you are having fun with it that is all that matters Winter is still on the radar, but maybe not in an acceptable time frame for most including myself. If I could split into 10 I would
  19. Hey guys here is a good post on AVSIM that may help users out who are having performance issues....... http://forum.avsim.net/topic/427390-skymaxx-pro-another-winner-from-johnand-retraction/
  20. dang it
  21. I cannot duplicate this to save my life and I have never seen this.... Something is a miss some quick suggestions..... Driver updates, system and GPU.... Try removing plugins each time re-loading X-Plane..... Do you have any enhancements that affect shaders or lights in X-Plane.... It may be a good idea to do a second, raw install of X-Plane the demo should work fine also.....uninstall SkyMAXX on your normal install and apply it to the "test copy".
  22. I'm at work to be fair.....I am concerned enough to see if I can reproduce something similar tonight.....hang tight
  23. Just saw your UI so it must be a stratus layer.....got ahead of myself.... Yeah a lower contrast sky color will look much more realistic.....
  24. That looks like a stratus or overcast layer. A few things to consider..... If it is a srtatus layer that is an expected result, I would suggest using a skycolor with less contrast to help with the transition. If it is an overcast layer I suggest sitching the overcast type in the UI to either Med or High(High is an FPS killer and experimental) Doing this will draw cloud puffs instead of the low flat overcast layer..... Hopefully that helps
  25. What are your default rendering settings, lets start there Mad..... What kind of scenery, what location, are you using HD mesh...... What aircraft are you flying also this has something to do with performance.... A list of plugins running would be nice.... Do you have an optomized OS? Cut of unwanted processes, programs to help performance.... Drivers Up to date?...... Have you cleaned up your plugins folder?......... I need information to help you out Mad, but as you said in a previous post you are not happy with the product. If that is the case and you do not wish for a solution you are trolling these forums. If you would like to continue this conversation and work through your problems we have a group here that will be more than happy to help you.
