Sounds like your visibility is set down inside the weather dialog which is an expected result, also we are working on an earth orbit patch as we speak that fixes a few other things.....

Yes I'm sorry now I get it.......We disabled what I like to call "The Grey Screen of Death" in X-Plane so you will NOT see this effect with SkyMAXX Pro.

I dunno FloB, a matter of taste maybe? Clouds do get pretty dramatic sometimes.....

Im confused at your request, are you referring to a flat overcast or stratus layer? Check the cloud conditions in the default weather dialog.......

My next suggestion would be to turn the cloud detail all the way down and decrease the draw distance...

Is your overcast layer set to high or med in the sm ui Med is preferred but if you can't run that you may need to switch to low...

Heads up! We are working on a solid solution as I type.......We have something nice going on, I am still testing but I think it addresses many issues.....hang tight and stay frosty

Another temporary work around will be to enable and disable the plugin from "Plugin Admin" ----named SilverLining Reset your weathr conditions and keep flying......Like Cam said we will be working on a solution.....

I was able to reproduce the issue, does it happen when you choose "lov Vis" from the startup menu?

Have you made adjustments in the UI in regards, especially in these areas: Cloud Detail Cloud Draw Distance Cloud size Also as noted in numerous other posts Crepuscular rays are an expensive feature and to maintain constant frames you may want to turn them off... Additionally for more performance you can choose different texture sizes for the cirrus layers and overcast layers.... We included these variables and with a variety of hardware determined that you could attain better frames....... Additionally you need to take into account outside resources like custom scenery/aircraft and mesh all these factors have an impact on performance with or without SkyMAXX Pro....
