  1. Thats MAXX FX if you look at the bottom of the image you will see part of the user interface. When that is open you will see a side by side comparison of your custom settings/pre-defined settings...... Once you close out the dialog the whole scene will reflect whats on the right....
  2. The condition in the image above is how X-Plane & the SilverLining integration handle Overcast conditions. SL is procedurally drawn and has been integrated to match with X-Plane as close as possible right now.... What you perceive as a problem is just us matching the conditions X-Plane presents..... AJ's suggestion was innocent and not that far off the mark, we developed MAXX FX to take a different approach on the overall scenery with X-Plane. Although it isn't an exclusive tweak for SMP it will give the end-user more control over the colors and contrast on the overall scene... Here is an image below as an example I put together real quick for you: By no means am I asking you to buy anything else just pointing out AJ's point. Art is a subjective topic we are just trying to give as much flexibility to users as we can with whats available to us in X-Plane.....
  3. Looks like you have low visibility conditions.....Not far off if you think about it.....
  4. My suggestion was a shot in the dark as Frank said you may have clouds at ground level causing this issue. At that time we didn't have much to go on... Feel free to post your findings, and when it does happen again post the airport and the weather settings. We will be here to help you out
  5. We gave you a lot of control in the user interface......
  6. Brenchen, Try turning your Crepuscular Rays setting down in the UI.... Looks as if you have it cranked up too high.... -John
  7. Rule of thumb is if you can run X-Plane 10 well SMP will work great. Keep in mind there is a ui associated with smp, and additional tweaking is a good idea once it is installed. What are your specs out of couriosity?
  8. We did discuss this idea but running two cloud engines in tandem will negate any performance gains. Even with transparency... We could possibly explore this option, not to get anyone excited though, even with transparent default clouds the performance will be poor...
  9. Thank you for your opinion.... We do have the option to turn them off if not to your taste....
  10. Thanks Wycliffe! Great shots BTW is this your city pollution theme?
  11. Just a few shots to answer a few questions floating around about MAXX FX. Enjoy....

  12. I thing one thing is being ignored here in this conversation... Performance... Additionally we want cloud shadows, right now its not possible sorry... The topic has been brought up numerous times, bringing up a bunch more isnt going to make it happen...
  13. I'm puzzled and i haven't seen such a condition. Have you tried looking at your video card drivers? The reason I am puzzled is SMP doesn't generate this kind of haze in any situation.....
  14. Looking at those screenshots its almost like you have a cloud layer touching the ground this is an unrealistic situation. Were you using default weather or real world weather?
  15. LOL.....too funny Well I hope you ,at least ,enjoy the product.... I know I enjoyed the coffee
  16. Darius thanks for the SS looks great!
  17. Yeah I have bought on impulse many a times......My old HP laptop is a good example...LOL Back on topic, I can't guarantee anything without information but your issue is noted and Ill snoop around the web a bit tonight.... If you do get some sort of "crash info" please send it to us ASAP...
  18. Lovely, the idea is sound my Mac Book Pro is setup similar but is supported....Saves battery life when it is unplugged... Have you found any hacks out there? Maybe something that disables the intel card all together?
  19. Proprietary drivers? Just out of curiosity is there any info in your GIZMO Log? Without much to go on, and I know this is a bit of work, try installing the demo and start with MAXX FX, if it runs start adding other add-ons.... Starting with a demo install insures a clean install of X-Plane... It may be a driver issue but as you know without any info its a shot in the dark....
  20. In its design no it cannot do this..... With that said and maybe some early adopters can chime in here, you can set MAXX FX to enhance the sim without making the cockpit look out of place.... I should add that MAXX FX isn't a scenery enhancement in its design, it manipulates the "lighting" in X-Plane.....It does so with a few common settings and some effects.... Say I were able to separate the cockpit for the scenery, you would have two different "lighting" effects going on that would look out of place in the overall scene. I think I see your idea here flydav, but from an artists perspective I think it would look silly. The best way to change the outside scenery is via a complete texture replacement and some lighting effects in the sky, the lighting effects are already implemented in SkyMAXX Pro & changing the ground textures only gives one subjective perspective on the ground terrain....
  21. Rolf give this a go: Set SM on your main pc to your desired settings.... Goto X-Plane 10/Resources/Plugins/SilverLinining..... Copy the settings.dat file and place it into the same directory on your other machines... This ensure she settings are exact on each machine and SL should sync up perfectly.... Please let me know if this works....
  22. Bwahahaha! Nah dude we are all in the same boat
