  1. This is the XP10.20b11 version cessna729.
  2. A short video of Javier's baby doing a coupled ILS Rwy24 Approach into KHQM. Is that a tiny bit of Dutch Roll I see? George was flying at the time not me You can hear the AP auto disengage, just before touch down (my landing "Arrival", George's Approach). cessna729.
  3. Hi I've just flown the ILS Rwy 13R at KDAL, no problem at all with JS-32 Ver 1.03 (64-bit) with XP10.20b11(64bit), LOC and G/S all within 1/2 dot auto-pilot coupled approach. Only thing I noticed was slight "ballooning when flaps were lowered (but that is to be expected of this type of auto-pilot). The Log.txt file is very usefull, but if you have this type of nav/system problem, a bit more specific info would be useful. Which exact approach (i.e. not just "I was flying the ILS", which Rwy, airport, which frequencies were you tuned to, how many nm from the Rwy threshold were you? what auto-pilot mode, what version of X-Plane, have you updated the XP navdata? or are you using the default data? a screenshot or two would help us alot to help you. Update 1: Just flown the ILS Rwy 13 at KGGG, no problems. (This time I let the auto-pilot fly the HDG to intercept the LOC (i.e. when I pressed the APR button on the dash, it went to ARM first.) cessna729.
  4. Very good advice from Javier, and it dosn't just apply to his JS-32!! I've not had any problems with version 1.03, but have noticed occasionaly X-Plane 10 (any version) will get it's inter-session settings mixed up no matter which add-on your using (the more complex the plug-in, custom datarefs ect, the greater the probability that X-Plane occasionaly gets mixed up). If that does happen occasionaly, no need to panic, just load a default aircraft of the same type as the add-on you have the problem with. So for the JS32 it would be something like the Baron B58 or KingAir. Wait for the default aircraft to finish loading, then exit. X-Plane will save preferences on EXIT. Now re-start X-Plane and let last aircraft to load then change to the aircraft you want to fly. Just to show how "daft" X-Plane 10 is just go to Settings, Operations and Warnings, under Startup, untick Save preferences, exit X-Plane, re-start X-Plane. Don't be supprised if a "BE ADVISED, X-Plane CRASHED" message appears, (which It didn't), There are still alot of "funnies" like this in XP10 IMHO. Anywho! Back to Javier's brill JS-32 and the GUST LOCK, my little vid: (Just remember that by default, when starting "Cold and Dark", that on Loading, the JS-32 activates the GUST LOCK to the IN position). cessna729.
  5. Hi Aj, same answer as Philip gave you in the other place cessna729.

  7. Good idea cruster Just tried it (at SLLP with XP9.70 cos I havn't loaded from DVD SLLP scenery, so the airport sits at about 8ft amsl in XP10.20b11 at the moment so I can srart the engines in that XP version) . If I load the CRJ engines running (in XP9.70) they continue running, but when I try Cold-n-dark, I can only start the APU, no luck with the with the two main engines. cessna729.
  8. Quito/Mariscal Sucre International (SEQU) is not as high as 13000ft, it's only Elevation is 9229 feet MSL. The new New Mariscal Sucre International Airport (SEQM) is even lower 7910ft (Note the new airport will if it ever gets finished have a Rwy 13451 ft long!). (So you could always hang around at SEQU and hoping the Wx changes a bit or wait till they finish the newer airport SEQM Lots of other aircraft seem to get in and out od SEQU ok. (didn't see any CRJ2's though! http://uk.flightaware.com/live/airport/SEQU http://www.trafficpowerhouse.com/readallaboutit/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/quito-airport.jpg http://skyvector.com/?ll=-0.22759949267374257,-78.34753418334321&chart=301&zoom=1 cessna729.
  9. The C-172 was one of the most stable platforms for teaching students their Initial Instrument Rating on I had the privledge to use! Power, Attitude, & Trim or Attitude, Power, Trim, it didn't matter the the C-172, she'd just sit there, stable as can be, letting the student get on with learning Instruments! I bet she'd even give a JS-32 a "run for the money" as to who was the more stable cessna729.
  10. Hay Keith , can you tell the captain to slow down a bit.......She's too quick for me to keep up! Great videos, got any more J32 captain's like that? cessna729.
  11. News on what to expect in the next X-Plane BETA 11. Posted on January 8, 2013 by Ben Supnikhttp://developer.x-plane.com/2013/01/beta-11-will-have-major-sdk-changes/ cessna729.
  12. No problem! Slightly off topic, but I've just read all of Ben's Blog on BETA11,(that link I posted) and he seem's to shed some light why so many OS X/Linux users may have been having problems with 32-bits, and why early Mac 64bit developers may be in for some recompiling woes The last paragraph is worth quoting (and it dosn't just go for 64-bits): cessna729.
  13. I didn't say that! All I did say in regard to your comment : Kyle, on 09 Jan 2013 - 14:56, said: Was: to remember that "lots of XP10 users are using "beta versions of XP", and LR may have changed something "in the beta version" that may have strange/unexpected effects" that isn't down to anything the CRJ has changed. And Yes LR would be the first to admit BETA's are "not stable". Wether it is responsabile for all/some/none of these reports you quote, I don't know, I just pointed out that it may be a possibility . cessna729.
  14. Hi Kyle, if I get time when I get home from work, I'll see about having another go at getting [XPGFS] to worth on my sim machine, but it might be later in the week before I could run your test. Don't forget lots of XP10 users are using 10.20BETA10 or others, and LR may have changed something in the "sim".cessna729.
  15. As you have specified that the use of [XPGFS] "NOAA GFS Weather: Real Upper winds and turbulence" is "a CONDITION of this test", that will depend on if Joan has fixed all the bugs as I said (cos last time I tried XPGFS, I didn't have much luck ref: [url="http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=core&module=global&section=comments&parentId=15453&fromApp=downloads-files&do=findComment&comment_id=96741%5B/url]cessna729.
  16. I was just thinking if you wanted as many users as possible to take part in your Flight Testing, that some of those thinking of taking part might not be as experienced as you and it may have made it easyer for them if you just included (just one ready made flight plan, you don't need all 3) that they could just load and follow (along with your "Brief"). That way you could have a "better population of data points" in your data. i.e RW type rated CRJ pilots all the way down to low hr sim only pilots.Any who, it was just an suggestion! cessna729.
  17. Hi Kyle, only me again, ref CRJ2 Test Brief.pdf Just a thought! How about you providing a saved Test Flight Plan, or a couple of Flight Plans, each with a different Flight Profile, so you could compare aircraft performance on different phases of flight (but everyone would be flying the same profile)? You could extend the testing if you so desired by having FULL FMS controlled flight (takeoff to 200ft on final approach using THRUST LIM ect) comparied with only HDG/ALT mode or even "Hand flown" . Just an idea! cessna729. p.s. What's a "JORDAN CRJ-200"??
  18. Hi Kyle, had a quick look, and it looks interesting, but I'm not too sure that running your tests using http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=15453&st=50#commentsStart is such a good idea, IMHO. (maybe all the bugs have been sorted out by now, but it appears to complicate your testing adding uncertainty/variability and not everyone has python plug-in installed, thus no two tests will have same Wx), My suggestion is just used the X-Plane supplied resources and ether set Wx same (whole world you decide on settings) or use a fixed METAR.rwx file). Also I can't see if you are recording X-Plane version/32, 64 bits ect also CRJ-200 version/number of calculations ect. As I've said, I've only had a quick look at that one pdf, so appologies if you explained it all else where. . But it does look fun testing cessna729.
  19. Happy Birthday to Javier (Japo32) 21 again?? cessna729.
  20. That's some find, thank's for the link, as an old costomer, that's very usefull Not downloaded any yet, but looks like the links are for FULL old versions, they don't look like "demo" versions? So what's the catch? time limited? or what? No catch it seems, just a clever marketing move! cessna729. Coment from CNET
  21. Just like in "Real life" cessna729
  22. Hi Marc, Thanks for the info, it's very interesting! cessna729.
  23. Hi thepapy, It depends how flexable your neck is  From 3d cockpit view! or you could assign a button on a joystick for flightcontrols/canopy_toggle if you don't want to get a stiff neck like me trying to film that video  cessna729.
  24. More of your good work? http://ggka.online.fr/xp/ I like! cessna729.
  25. This old post may be of some interest. If you fly the CRJ-200 in Europe and would like some Enroute charts that you can download and print out, you may be interested in this: EUROCONTROL Regional Charts The new EUROCONTROL Regional Charts (ERC) are a combination of the former Airspace Management Planning Charts (ASM) and the Central Flow Management Planning Charts (CFMU). These 12 ERC charts are based on EAD data. Currently, only the Upper airspace is currently available on-line, lower airspace will follow at a later stage. ERC - 01/H Upper Chart (Canary Islands - Morocco)ERC - 02/H Upper Chart (Portugal - Spain)ERC - 03/H Upper Chart (Italy - Malta - Tunisia)ERC - 04/H Upper Chart (Greece - Western Turkey)ERC - 05/H Upper Chart (Eastern Turkey - Azerbaijan)ERC - 06/H Upper Chart (Central Europe - Ukraine)ERC - 07/H Upper Chart (Italy - South/East Europe)ERC - 08/H Upper Chart (France - Switzerland) ERC - 09/H Upper Chart (Benelux - Germany - Poland) ERC - 10/H Upper Chart (United Kingdom - Ireland)ERC - 11/H Upper Chart (South Scandinavia - Baltic States)ERC - 12/H Upper Chart (North Scandinavia - Iceland) Don't forget that SkyVector also offers FREE on-line Enroute mapping.
