  1. Is there a set of standard templates or palettes, so you can have some one button configurations, or do you have to fiddle with the settings?
  2. I think it needs some work on planemaker to be able to work.
  3. Both opinions are valid (Tom's and Cameron's) for their respective reasons, I think no one questions that. It is the way that they expressed their opinion, that is bad form as I see it. And probably that is also what you mean Emalice, and in those grounds I agree. On the other hand, we shouldn't be so sensitive to some well meant criticism On topic: Congratulations on the IXEG team for a fantastic video, waiting anxiously for the rest! Jan thanks for your patience in showing us every little thing, and also for you attention to detail, and sticking around small features as well to explain everything in depth and excite us. The immersion and work that's gone in is fantastic, and I wish you a great success upon release.
  4. In the final video they will announce the cherry on the cake, a flight academy training session (1/purchase) where Jan guides you through the plane over a Skype call, like being in a Sim with a training Captain.
  5. I found an interesting thing here to anyone interested! http://www.b737.org.uk/fmc.htm Just a few info about the 737's FMC.
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's a Sprint Air video dating 26.04.2013 and I don't see an FMC. Pic: http://www.airplane-pictures.net/photo/271823/ur-cgq-sprint-air-saab-340/
  7. I always have a hard time using and understanding the FMS, to set up a flight. If you could show some views of that, I'd be grateful. Also I hope that in the released product, you will introduce a "for dummies" tutorial of the systems.
  8. Great, thanks for the answer. Looking forward to the release.
  9. Hello guys, just some quick questions! i). Have you managed to put a leash on X-Plane's turbulence system? Especially on moderate turbulence, the majority of planes dance around, like they're set on the intense cycle of a laundry machine. ii). Will the plane feature wing and engine physics? (In the context of flexing and engine "shaking").
  10. This should answer your question. http://forums.x-pilot.com/topic/939-the-b737-classic-project/?p=62329
  11. True but it also depends on the planes you own and fly. Despite the devs best efforts, complex planes with complex systems are complex to run.
  12. 747-8.
  13. It's my opinion that you should go for the i7, XPlane is CPU heavy. Also I'd say stack up on RAM if you can, it will shield you for the future as well.
  14. Now that Mavericks has been updated with OpenGL 4.1, can we immediately expect performance improvements, or X-Plane would need to be recoded to enable the performance and feature gains?
  15. It’s not only that, for my tastes at least it’s not the full package. As I see it all products should be holistic in their approach, it should be the best of both worlds. Great visuals, great systems. Much like the Saab and the upcoming 737. Peter’s Airbuses unfortunately lack severely on the visual/animation part, yes the model looks like the real plane, but it’s extremely static, with zero animations besides the essentials (flaps going down etc), texture looks weird and it’s not very polished. Flight characteristics on the other hand are very good, and so are systems. But it’s not complete, it’s not a great product. That being said, I own Peter’s A321 and I can strongly recommend it to people interested only in systems/flight model.
  16. Probably this has been addressed before, but are you considering to include a second model featuring the small windows above the windshield? I think it’s a charming feature of the classic 737 and it’s a bit sad that it’s missing.
  17. I think that drives from Crucial should be reasonably priced, and are compatible with Apple products.
  18. It looks amazing, most of all what I think is different from other models I’ve seen, is that the glass looks somehow more real and material, if it makes sense.
  19. Hmmm, so if I’m reading this correctly - I started out on the 737 (300/400/500) as a copilot, then transitioned to the 747-400, flew that for 6 years, then became a captain in 2008 on the 737 (300/500). I flew that until about a year ago, when I was involuntarily transitioned to the Airbus A320 family (319/320/321) because the 737 classic is getting phased out at my airline. It seems that we can hope for an IXEG 747 and A320! A man can dream…
  20. Superb, can we have some similar exterior shots?
  21. Hello, another animation related question! One of the things that always vexed me in sims is that planes land or move (on the ground) like pieces of lumber, something that’s really annoying, and to my eyes, hurts the illusion of experiencing something real. So on that basis, will the IXEG 737 feature realistic suspension?
  22. Could you tell me what liveries do you have planned down the road, if that’s possible?
  23. Oh absolutely, I’m just trying to get more hyped. Thank you for the swift answer Tom.
  24. I’d like to see a video of the 737’s ground behaviour under several conditions from the exterior please, if it is possible at the moment. I’m really interested in seeing what is different from traditional X-Plane aircrafts in that regard. If I remember correctly Morten was talking about ground behaviour a long time ago, and a short video of a crosswind landing was uploaded. I’m hoping more material is coming along! For instance is wing flex over bumps modelled? Turning circle, braking etc. Thank you!
  25. nVidia has far better drivers in general, and support. I would go for the GTX680, AMD produces good cards on a technical level, but they lack support and compatibility as far as I know.
