  1. Does anybody know if Blender accepts vector images for background images? ??? I've spent the last couple of days creating a vector image of the A-10 Thunderbolt, and expect to spend a couple more, after which I plan to model it in Blender. Cheers Kieran
  2. The only way I can think of doing it is to create a new manipulator axis, then when you rotate it lock it to that axis. Or, umm.. , what if you rotated the rudder en edit mode so that the axis you want to rotate it along is vertical, (write down the angle) then in object mode rotate it back to where it should be, insert a key frame there, then you can rotate it along its normal z? axis. Hope this helps, Cheers Kieran
  3. Love the white belly, looks like a tiger.
  4. A guy over at the .org, Sam256 I think, has been working on scripts for 2.5x. And I believe the usage is very different, he is also developing the current scripts to include manipulators. Cheers Kieran
  5. DW, brett s showed me to a newer dvd installer, and have got it working.
  6. I just cleaned my disk, now the installer opens but hangs imediately.
  7. Hi Just yesterday I purchased a new computer. A 2011 MacBook Pro 15", 2.2 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, 1GB VRAM on an AMD 6750M. When I inserted my disk1 and opened the installer, it crashed imediately. Your help is much appreciated. Cheers Kieran
  8. Looks pretty clean, could be a bit more even though. Looks really good though.
  9. Airbus what aircraft is that?
  10. The current XP2B script wont work at all with Blender 2.5. But Sam256 (over at the .org) is working on a new version that does work in Blender 2.5. The problem is that Blender 2.49 uses Python 2.6 (or something like that, but deffinetly v2) where as Blender 2.5x uses Python 3.1.1. Can you give us a wireframe shot, so we can see this awesome topology? Cheers Kieran
  11. I would also like to know what Goran is using to render it. Looks real nice,
  12. Yes plugin is the only way to fix this. (As far as I know) Gizmo looks pretty simple and should do the job, look in the Gizmo section of these forums.
  13. Just a few details remaining on the passenger compartment. Cheers Kieran [EDIT] picture removed.
  14. I was bored so I made this: Cheers Kieran
  15. 2 new renders showing the current state of the landing gear, almost finished. Cheers Kieran [EDIT] picture removed.
  16. As many of you know I have been working on a Saab 2000. Something weird went wrong with the old topic, so I started this one. I have now completed all of the instruments/switches in the cockpit. Cheers Kieran [EDIT] picture removed.
  17. A place where you can show off your 3D models, or texture work, or anything to do with 3D stuff. Complete or not. I guess like the "What did you build today" thread over at X-Plane.org. So what do you have to show?
  18. Indi I don't believe it is automatic, as from my experience you have to log out and then back in for it to take effect. Cheers Kieran
  19. Looking at that wireframe shot, I suggest you push some nodes and smooth the flow of the line out a fair bit. Otherwise looking great. Cheers Kieran
  20. Try the tutorial section over at X-Plane.org. Blender.org for blender.
  21. Sorry I'm wrong. It is a CF-18. With the poor quality I had I thought I only saw a single air intake. Cheers Kieran
  22. No it is a F-16.
  23. Well done Airbus. Very nice work. Cheers Kieran
