I find incident/accident report always highly interesting (and sobering). They often give a unique insight in the machine, the way it is operated, the HMI, the procedures etc etc. Even for the flight sim pilot they contain great value. The below one for CL60 D-AAAY definitely caught our attention S2-2022_Bombardier_CL-600-2B16__604__D-AAAY.pdf

Guys - this have to get off my chest: I have been exclusively flying the Challenger 650 for many months now, and I still find enormous pleasure in every flight I make! I really still learn every day about the aircraft and it systems, be it the avionics, but also the aircraft systems itself, the flight envelope etc. The videos I watched in the beginning make much more sense now, as I now can appreciate every little detail in them, detail I can put to use now. The X-Pilot forum is an incredible source of information, with a very high level of knowledge and support. Second to none. It has also given me an edge in understanding the real life problems we encounter with our CL650. The aircraft has taken taken me all around Europe in about 150 flights, almost all of them on VATSIM creating an added dimension of 'surprise' - they never give you what you expect. In short, in my view this aircraft is absolutely worth every penny and I'm looking forward to making many, many more flights with it! The picture - Challenger meets Challenger during a VATSIM on line event in Corfu, Greece

For those flying in Europe, the following 'interesting' approaches come to mind : Nice RNP LFMN Lugano LSZA Bolzano LIPB London City EGLC Innsbruck LOWI La Mole LFTZ (though not allowed for CL60) Ajaccio LFKJ with VPT A RWY 20 La Seu LESU ...

BTW good idea to split off this thread Kirk

In our company on the CL60 we have EVS (soon to-be EFVS-A) operational approval down to 100ft on an ILS IAP. Then obviously the HUD would be used. Besides that we see company wide that the background of the pilot determines often the use: pilots having had extensive use on fighter aircraft as e. g. the F16 tend to use the HUD a lot more.

Sorry guys, you lost me on the LSK6R for the base leg intercept course? In which MCDU screen do you use the LSK6R? Can't make it out in Kirk's video Got it, it's in DIR to the RX fix, than on that screen adding the INTC course in LSK6R

Thanks Pils, will look for an updated driver

Thanks Pils, not a biggie of course, was just wondering whether I had (again) overlooked something, flying almost always at night If you need a better picture, let me know
