  3. Well, I use a headset to listen to the cockpit ambient sounds and Vatsim ATC, but how do you listen to the discord with the other pilot? Earplug underneath the headset with dangling mic? Or another clever set up?

  5. Probably stupid question, how to talk to one another in shared cockpit? We were now using another communication channel, but of course I could not hear the cockpit sounds. How can you talk, and still be 'in' the cockpit?

In a long conversation with BBA yesterday we learned that BBA advises to equalize left and right mains BEFORE departure using the L (usually) to AUX pumps, even if the difference is lower that the limit of 400 lbs. This in order to avoid CAS fuel imbalance messages after departure which could be triggered by banking and 'sloshing' in the tanks

  10. Thanks, I flew the Chally a couple of hundred hours and never refilled. Lately I started getting occasionally high oil temperatures, and than on yesterday's flight warning oil pressure below 25psi. Time to take action! Amazing that Hotstart has modelled this oil consumption...
  11. Not there yet - replenishment tank empty, engines nowhere near full. How can I fill the replenishment tank? Edit - Hotstart thought even about that! Btw to fill the tank, click on the cap on the tank on the approx 1 o'clock position 13 quarts in all - will avoid the maintenance dept for a while...

  13. Personally, an that is also the way our CL650 Pilots do it, I have always the frequency and course preset, so that if the transfer doesn’t happen automatically, I can do it manually.

  17. Business jets fly not nearly as much as airliners do, and also are kept much cleaner than the big ones. And this applies even more so for the interior
  18. Both, you see we still had 3h27 to go to KBGR, using roughly 1850lbs per hour, so very rough 6300 lbs, leaves 2400 for alternate and holding
  19. Hi bpcw, good point, it is definitely much more like in the pictures which have been taken with different lights and camphones. I have made the point before to Hot Start, but Pils wrote in January that this was not a priority for them.
