  1. That is a bummer, have you tried to do a file search or system restore to an earlier point. Often when files go missing for me, I accidentally drop them into the wrong folder when dragging and dropping. File searches will often pull them up or go the folders you remember using and open them up one at a time to see if anything looks familier.
  2. Just don`t get stuck behind the little old lady at grocery store who still insists to write out a check for her groceries. LOL, they sure can slow up a quick trip to the store.
  3. Looks great, surprised no responses yet. Having been to this airport you did a fantastic job recreating it. Thank you.
  4. Hmmmm, this post should have found its way into the Rant forum instead of the X-Plane video Forum. Can`t escape the Political garbage anywhere these days. Damn shame.
  5. Flightgear has been renamed into just about every flight sim made, They even Used X-plane for a while about 4 years ago and I notified Austin. They were down in no time and I bought a CD of it to prove it was Flight gear. Stay away from any purchasing and just google Flight Gear and the free download. I still don`t like it since the open source makes it a pain to learn.
  6. Would be nice to have a good Avro Arrow for XP10 though. My old friend Dayle Green had been working on one for many years and I guess he has moved on to other projects to consume his time. He was rebuilding a Jeep from the ground up.
  7. Sure wish they would get the weather working like the real world. Clouds still do not move with the wind like 9x and it been close to a year now.
  8. Oh Sweet, now we need Yellowknife Airport with Buffalo Air hangers to go with it. Why not the entire Buffalo fleet.
  9. Rise of Flight Iron Cross Edition sets itself apart from all other combat flight sims. Simply fun to turn on the auto pilot feature and then go check out all the other planes you are locked in combat with. Plus you can also go check out the ground battles with tanks and artillery. Have enjoyed it for a couple years now and with every new update the sim becomes even better.
  10. Does anyone have a list of the Aerosoft European airports included in this update. Checked out LPFR and WOW.
  11. Run your updater, 10.04 b2 is out. just downloaded it. Now to test it.
  12. Its here, installing X-Plane 10 right now.
  13. XP10 USB key arrived in the mail today. Packaged the same way my disks arrived. In a padded envelope. Nice to take out the 10x dvd and put it away.
  14. Oh yeah, call from Fedex tonight. Delivery tomorrow, will you be there. Sure will. Can`t wait to unbox this beast of a Notebook.
  15. My stick arrived today and has a throttle slider behind stick. Going to take some getting use to after so many years using my old Saitek Cyborg Evo. This stick feels so tighter and the movement more controled. But also feels fat to my hand compared to the Evo. Have already reset it to run XP10 and default yaw control was set using the throttle. The twist controlled the throttle. So they were resest, but all my button presets carried over.
  16. My guess is I`ll recieve it in a padded envelope not unlike the X-Plane 10 was sent in. Laminar has always made big bucks with shipping kickbacks. But, no more DVD to worry about.
  17. Order placed, outragous shipping charges though. USPS $10.95 shipping.
  18. HAT switch for trim ? I have always used my Saitek Cyborg Evo HAT switch for view controls.
  19. Have only used Saitek sticks for the past 11 years. Giving my Cyborg Eve to my son, Can`t even remember how long I have had it. Still works great. We`ll see how it feels when it gets here in a couple days.
  20. Just ordered and customized it a bit driving up the price some. But still getting this big a savings. Should be able to run X-Plane 10 easily. Almost more horsepower then my XPS 730x. http://configure.us....l_id=xps-l702x 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7-2760QM processor 2.40 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.50 GHz Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit, English 750GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive[included in Price] NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 555M 3GB graphics with Optimus[included in Price] 17.3" FHD (1080p) with 2.0MP HD Webcam Tray Load Blu-ray® Triple Writer (reads and writes CDs, DVDs, BDs) [included in Price] JBL 2.1 Speakers with Waves Maxx Audio 3 [included in Price]
  21. Just orderd one of these, my son was in need of a joystick and I decided to upgrade and found the Thrustmaster T.16000M at Radio Shack.com. Should be here Thursday.
  22. Oh yes, have offered this to him many times in the past. Only type of aircraft he has ever been is a helicopter tour of the Black hills of SD. Every time I ask him if wants to go up in a plane, he says he won`t go. I won`t push him. He is 15 now and will give it a try when he is good and ready. And yes, it can be really expensive. Had my own PPL back in the 80`s and early 90`s. Let it lapse due to it was to expensive, needed to eat.
  23. He`ll be in for a treat when he gets home school, spent a few hours loading up scenery and planes I have backed up. About 20 CDs worth. Took some time unzipping them all. But he will be exploring 100`s of planes and dozens of scenery sites to visit.
  24. He has been around X-Plane since he was 2 and I bought X-Plane 5.42 from Laminar Research back in Oct. 1999. Have them all since that time. Bought him a Dell computer 4 years ago with an onboard video setup and have even bought upgraded PSU and video cards that would not work. So after years of waiting, he is now 15, he asked if I could install earlier versions to test to see if they would work. 6.70 worked great and I have so many back up CDs of planes and scenery, He will be busy forever. That is, until I can find a joystick for him. Might have to upgrade my own so he can have my Cyborg Evo.
  25. P factor, engine torque modeling. must learn to trim for this.
