  1. OK, I've flown this leg four times now, everytimes it ends with nose-down and crash. The leg was EEKA-ULOO and I was flying with real weather from Xplane. This was my first recording inside Xplane and I didn't notice resolution was so bad 640* https://www.dropbox.com/s/jg3hoa5kq9a1jw4/LES_Saab_340A - 2021-03-21 11.12.46.avi?dl=0 This is weather from littlenavmap (pic1): As I started my descent from 18000ft I turned on de-ice (the settings can be seen on video at start 00:05 , prop max, engine on, auto-cycle cont, pitot heat). -Steady descent 1000fpm towars 3000ft IAF PS009 I think) -flying into cloud at 01:10 things start wobbling, AP can handle no biggie. Wind is steady 19 knt from from 5 o'clock -01:20 see speed jumps around and soon I decide to increase power -01:45 pretty much stablized again, 01:51 as you can see weather was a mess. -02:50 speed start to drop. Wind didn't change (at least on EADI). After that I have no idea what happened, but it happened 4 times on a row. As seen no trim issue (this was discussed recently), trim is at 1 or so. -03:10 here we go, AP can't handle it anymore. Switching to manual flight, full throttle. VS is 3500fpm. I was about to turn to approach for RW19 and wind was from 200. Any comments welcome.
  2. Yes Logitech Saitek works, I used to have for years. If you consider having highher quality throttle quadrant, get Honeycomb Bravo. It's perfect. I swapped my Saitek/Logitech for Brave and simply love it. All autopilot modes work with Saab out of the box, I'm controlling all my AP funtions with Bravo. No offense to Saitek, like said I had it for 10 years or so. When it gets older, it gets less accurate and needs cleaning. But it surely beats keyboard! Here's my config at the moment, left are Power levers, GO around-button is used for CTOT engage/disengage BTW. Right are CondLevers. As you can see, I'm using NAV, ALT and VS-modes, I just started my descent and I'm controlling my VS (as selected on left knob and changing with right knob). Button row is for all lights, I don't have taxi light on, all others are (below 10000ft).
  3. Excellent info and much appreciated! EDIT: pdg17, your tip worked!
  4. Hi Prosco and thanks for your help. I was able to find RNV20 from my list, so I must be running the correct AIRAC
  5. Got me too! I was descending from south towards EEKA when I few into heavy rain at 6000ft. -19C and way too late I put on anti-ice, engine and props. Crashed into ocean, maybe 500ft more and I would have recovered...
  6. I'm wondering what other pilots see in when they open their Saab's X530? Same date or different?
  7. I bought my xplane when the version was 11.50, now it's 11.52. Also my first Saab-version is 1.6 (now 1.6.3) so I shouldn't have any "historic burden". I have a Zibo 737 installed, I think it's supposed to use same Xplane navdata, I'll try to find out what it's reporting (I'm mid air with Saab at the moment). PS. I simply love this airplane and I want everything to be perfect with it
  8. I have never edited any Saab files, but I got into same situation, meaning I was settings "halfs". Then I once set ALT to 0 via knob and it got "reseted" and has not bothered me anymore.
  9. I thought that too, but FMS includes also 11.5 Xplane default GPS and as you can see, it should be up to date. My cycle_info says: AIRAC cycle : 2102 Version : 1 Valid (from/to): 25/FEB/2021 - 25/MAR/2021 Still Saab's GPS expires 2020...
  10. I'm happy flying my Saab, but everytime I start it I see this: I'm Navigraph subscriber and this is how my FMS looks like: What's wrong?? I tried to search for answer but didn't find any. This is how my custm data looks like: And for the record my best landing few days ago, I simply love this plane and the pic. Everything was correct, long 10nm approach, flying manual. All info appreciated!!
