  1. Would it help with inadvertent activation by requiring the command to be held for X amount of time, and/or limit it to only ever one "notch" per use?

  3. X-Plane only supports whole integer frequencies for ADFs, hence I assume that limitation is enforced by the avionics so as to now give a false impression. Therefore the navigation aid data provided to be used by X-Plane forces the PA NDB, in this example, to 307 kHz. I assume the rounding down is consistent for other NDBs, but I haven't verified that. You could report this frequency limitation to Laminar as a "bug" in X-Plane, to be honest. (They are quite US-centric so might not realize it's an issue.)

  5. I think they might have updated it once during the life of X-Plane 11 after it was updated with 11's initial release, as they did again with 12's. Two reasons for this that I can think of: (a) they want the scenery that ships with the sim to match the navigation data, and they don't do major updates to the scenery very often; and (b) it presumably costs money to license the data from Navigraph for inclusion in the base sim, and those terms will be better with older cycles (so that Navigraph can sell subscriptions, obviously).
  6. You can try completing the flight by disabling SVS.

  8. Yes. Right/control click on the file. As explained in the article above.
  9. Can you post a screenshot from when you do Get Info on the X-Plane.app file?
  10. Only RealityXP could tell you that. Regardless, I assume it comes down to what'll fit on the existing instrument panel without major remodeling.
  11. Do you have a Mac with an Apple Silicon processor (M1/M2)?
  12. Do you have default global scenery installed for this area of flight?
  13. Originally released ~3 years ago, so depends on your definition I suppose. But with the pace of progress these days, my by reckoning it's getting a little outdated and hence missing platform features, such as those I suspect the TorqueSim products rely upon (even if it's still supported for security patches--for another month?), especially as there's a new OS every year you could have upgraded to. :-)
  14. You could widen the search to the 3000 or 5000 series, they're quite similar... Good luck!
  15. I still think in this case you'd be reaching the selected CRZ FL eventually, and before Top of Descent, hence no message. What does LEGS and/or FPLN PROGRESS say for predicted altitudes at this stage of entry?
  16. I suspect your version of macOS is too old. I think you'll need at least macOS 12 to use the X-Plane 12 version. But maybe @Coopcan confirm one way or the other.
  17. That's correct. The securing checklist is only completed if you're not intending to fly again for an extended period on that day, or until another day.
  18. Why would it? You're still reaching the "cruise" level eventually... Assuming you're not trying to climb too high. What makes you say that?
  19. Because they are flying uncoordinated, likely due to inadvertent rudder input, or non-zero rudder trim.
  20. I suggest looking at: (a) router port forwarding/UPnP configuration; (b) Windows(?) firewall; and, (c) resetting the aircraft settings/persistence by removing Output/CL650/ directory (backing up if necessary) from X-Plane. Also please attach Log.txt from X-Plane in the future.
  21. You'll have to go through the process at least once per airframe and save a state as @RonMontshows above. It's done this way so that every user can make the "ready for takeoff" state exactly how they want it (everyone's different), and also to encourage users to learn the suggested operating procedures (as seen in the documentation).
  22. It was modelled after an IRL airframe, but I don't know how kind of artistic license @Goran_Mtook.
  23. As it suggests, your X-Aviation license is not available. You should have had to sign into X-Aviation account when the sim was first started. Are you using multiple monitors? If so, disconnect all but the primary/main one and try again. Additionally, please post Log.txt from X-Plane.
  24. You can change the keys for these commands (under Quick Views) in the X-Plane Keyboard settings window.
