Well, the original is a fat binary, but fat in the wrong way: chrisk@MacPro:~> file /Users/chrisk/Downloads/CycleViews.xpl /Users/chrisk/Downloads/CycleViews.xpl: Mach-O universal binary with 2 architectures /Users/chrisk/Downloads/CycleViews.xpl (for architecture ppc7400): Mach-O dynamically linked shared library ppc /Users/chrisk/Downloads/CycleViews.xpl (for architecture i386): Mach-O dynamically linked shared library i386 Kes will need to do a fat for 32/64. There's no 64-bit version in there - Ck.

Yep - I did the exact same thing greggerm - I then realized the guy posted about Xsquawkbox in an old thread; just like yourself. To Anyone else reading: THERE IS NO 10.20 "R" Candidate YET - Ck.
-
No, but it works in 10.20 32 bit I used it just today with 10.20 beta 7 Just run the X-Plane-32bit.exe / X-Plane-32.app - CK.

GTX670 w/ HDR 8x SSAA + Water reflections "Complete" (Click above for Full 1600x900 Image) I am enjoying this new card..... - CK.

Hah - finally found a scene that finally crushed the card @ extreme + 8xSSAA HDR + Water + Clouds + Shadows http://206.80.253.132/~chrisk/KPHL/732_312.png although stats reveal that I'm object/CPU bound... Still Looks fantastic - CK.

As suspected, this card is eating HDR 8xSSAA+FXAA for lunch. 27 FPS in non-HDR 30 FPS in HDR 8x Go figure =) - CK.

Thanks mateus, Simon, Cameron for the words of encouragement. =) As to Simon' query: I am currently using a Toaster (AMD 5770), which is an upgrade from my previous Videocard, which was a Potato. (AMD 4870) Note those cards bench-out at approximately the same rendering power, with the Toaster having 1gb VRAM vs the Potato with only 512, which was my only reason for swapping the card with another Pro I have access to. Neither card performs any better than something from 2009 or so....... Which is why I'm rather excited to take this leap of at least 2 generations of card technology & performance.

I have seen xplaneuser's videos (our aussie linux friend) made using his GTX680 and started drooling since last week. =) Hence - I have picked one up for the 'pro; un-boxing and hookup will be friday night; and will attempt to make mincemeat out of our XP10 photo-scenery. FWIW, GTX670s are now selling under $399 in Australia. To any Sydneysiders on the list - head to Ti Computers in Crows Nest. - CK.

Laminar Releases X-Plane 10.20 Beta 6
chris k commented on X-Pilot's X-Plane flight sim news in General Information
and not broken this time! =) -
Yeah good idea. Remlap you should ask LR.
-
Ive only ever been able to get it to work using the exact same version on both ends. This includes within the XP10 series. I just tried using 10.11 and 10.20 together - no go. I also tried 10.20 beta5 and 10.20 beta6 - no go. - CK.

Thats looking really really good! You definitely got talent, my man! Lemme know if you want to slide some USGS orthophots underneath that. - CK.

More work from today (and some test flying on VATSIM yesterday in bad weather): WED1.2 + USGS Orthophotos for the Win - CK.

> Okay first what didn't work is I was using text and when I tried to talk he couldn't hear me and when he tried to talk I couldn't hear him? WHO couldn't hear you? Another Plane? A Controller? Some guy on the street corner? > I have tried a bunch of things by nothing has worked so far. Like what? > I was expecting it to work! Um you cant answer with the same answer i.e. "I was expecting it to work like I expected it to". Circular Definition. Not allowed in normal human conversation. > I did tune my NAV1 to the right radio You tune the COM1 Radio. > cause I could see text. and What channel did you tune it to? > I do see a list of active controllers. Did you tune your COM1 radio to one of their frequencies? So far, you have never said which frequency you are turned to. VATSIM requires you to tune frequencies that actually have a number number number dot number number format. Did the VATSIM menu come up and say "Connected To Voice Room"? Did the VATSIM window spill out any information in Magenta text? Like "Welcome to Sydney Tower - ATIS on xxx.xxx Arraiving avd Departing 16L?" > I cant hear other controllers but I can read their text. Youre sure its a controller? Which controller were you talking to? what area were you in? when were you there? You need to please give specifics.. What Frequency was the Controller on? what was the Controller position name? i.e. KBOS_CTR? CZVR? KSEA_APP? In X-Plane 10's Settings -> Sound Menu, do you have the "Com chatter" volume set to something greater than 0%?
-
What didn't work specifically? Thats good. that means the MIc works, XSB is setup correctly for push-to-talk, and that it will transmit actual voice (rather than static). This is the crux of the problem. What do you *think* you need to do? What are you expecting to happen? How do you think it should all work? (Im interested in your response, because I think that everything is actually working, it's just that your expectation as to what should happen may need some education here). - CK. Hints: Did you tune your COM1 radio? Do you see a list of Active Controllers on your Screen/Who's Online Window? Can you voice-hear other air traffic in the area where there is an active controller? Have you EVER gotten voice to work in VATSIM, or is this your very first attempt to use Voice?

All legit, post 'er up here at x-pilot!

Yep they do. I do a trick in WED to split 1 tile into 4 smaller tiles all the time. While retaining their relative positions within the grid. Allows me to take 1 tile at 4k x 4k and make 4 tiles at 2k x 2k. Thus I don't lose any resolution nor have to down sample the ortho texture. It s a neat trick, and yields great results. Still have to do some image processing in the background to make it all fit properly, but it's a straightforward operation.

Whatever plane the author has written this for.... I assume? This discussion a developer-side thing - not user-side per se. /me ducks. - CK.
