  1. Just a note that while the .org labels all 4 discs as complete coverage of the UK, Scotland does not appear to be covered (both northern sceneries state up to the border of Scotland). Last time I checked, it was still part of the UK, although you never know with the Scots! Hope that comes as a later development as there's some beautiful terrain up there and my joint favourite part of the UK. Tsk Simon. You won't be able to see my house with pack 3, London's in Pack 1!
  2. The 1900d is flown by a lot of the virtual airlines. Mine included. That said, the DC-3 is also flown by a lot of VAs as a historical aircraft.
  3. I would probably have voted the 1900d over the dc-3, but they both need doing.
  4. For me, it has to be the DC-3. X-plane is screaming for a leading edge simulations quality version of this plane. Please consider both floats and skis versions too!
  5. I am more concerned by some responses to such posts than the posts themselves. Especially when they are as well considered as the one in question here. I absolutely believe that no-one has the right not to be offended, and know I am a guest in this house and fully understand that the rules are not mine to make. However, It doesn't create a great atmosphere and seems to me to be close to that decried of at the org. In addition to this, my feeling is that moderators and administrators are held to a higher standard than regular members. I do feel that the straight talking, no nonsense posts by all members could in some cases be tempered by a little more patience and a softer tone (when in response and outside the rant forum). The internet is after all a cold medium for transmitting personality and posts can be very easily misinterpreted or come across differently to that intended. I understand that many of us are engineers in mindset and that short, efficient responses are second nature. Having a few status updates requests is surely better than turning off excited potential customers. Your opinions may vary. No warranty express or implied.

    some questions

Yes that's how it should look. If both boxes are ticked then the metar data from REX may be overwritten by the downloaded data. The clouds and textures will still be rex though.
  7. nice catch
  8. first Anton has to end it. Later we can see... But still toooooooo much work to do on FMS > I know, hence the recommendation - you get more aircraft out of the same work. Don't sweat it Javier, it'll all work out fine in the end, and if the pressure get's too much, take a little break - perhaps do another scenery. I know the crj is overhyped and that must be an added weight on your shoulders. The suggestion above for a b1900d is an awesome one though simple plane, would be great done by you.
  9. How about reusing the fmc from the crj in a saab 2000?
  10. In case you haven't seen this article Indi. Interesting read. http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/engineering/robots/4343054 excerpt
  11. I lost my PMDG B1900, but the $5 was too much to be worthwhile to me to get another download on, I was offended by that because the file is tiny and the $5 unreasonable to me, not to mention such a large proportion of what I paid. I'd say that in this case, I can see the reasoning behind the price - it's a huge file, just a shame it's not like steam - where I can buy for peanuts and download large files many times over. I understand that the economies are different for a small company. I understand the reasoning behind this fee, and based on price, don't think it's an unreasonable policy. Perhaps it's more a case of the information being a shock as this is the first user to discover this - maybe a note on the purchase page explaining that due to the large file size, re-downloads on this product are priced at x (if not there already) would help sort out expectation. Keep up the good work, and get the products that I want to buy out - that Hawaii one for example
  12. It makes the search for REX more entertaining.
  13. Isn't that the google maps gmaps software?
  14. Thanks for everyone's help. I have now heard that Charlotte won the competition with over 2000 hits. She won 10 items of merchandise, a signed gold disc and a phone call from the group. A good win, thanks to all.
  15. T34 is a more refined model than the Javelin, as Javier had more experience when he made it. That said, they are totally different aircraft, so depends what you prefer.
  16. I'm guilty of buying the decent payware and then not flying them ;D I tend to fly fairly infrequently, and when I do, just for the VA, so it has to be a VA aircraft, or close to it. My main plane at the moment is the MU-2, but to be honest the falco is more modernly built - but the aircraft itself isn't right for my routes.
  17. Oh I totally agree, Sany's plugin is amazing for the money. I would be prepared to pay for somehitng with equivalent functionality to the FSX version, even would pay something that has parity with FSX default camera effects, albeit not as much.
  18. Sounds disappointing compared to what I've seen using EZCA 1.17 with FSX. I would have thought that there would be head latency with all movement. How about when the landing gear finally hit's the runway, what is that like? No effect I believe.
  19. Really close - hit up the link if you want to help, closes at midnight - 947 views atm for charlotte's vid, 940 for next closest.
  20. the pilot view plugin does not do the movement effects such as when you roll. The vibration is a little overdone too, it may be configurable, but couldn't fix it when I played. That said, it+built in is prob best available for now.

    Project 3

    Better late than too late
  22. That would be amazing - and doesn't seem anywhere near as hard as the stuff indi's been doing with Gizmo If it were as good as the video, I'd open my wallet, no problem. I have seen some add-ons (and the built in effect you can enable / disable) but the effect is nowhere near convincing enough (too strong, no subtlety, too simple)
  23. Yeah, Thunderf00t explains it well on youtube
  24. My girlfriend's god daughter entered a competition where she had to post up a video of a JLS party and I got volunteered to do the editing. Anyway if she gets the most hits, she wins a phone call from the band or something, so if you'd like to help out, hit up the video to puch up the counter. I think each ip/useragent can increment once daily. ;D I don't know if embedded vids count as impressions - hence simple link.
