  1. Unfortunately, no. We used a custom sound engine that X-Plane doesn't recognise.
  2. New paint. Just messing with images to place on the tail. I have a few, but I'm starting with the lions head.
  3. Understood, but the Logs tell us everything. Even if there is something wrong with the code.
  4. Please post GizmoLog.txt and Log.txt after the crash happens. Both are found in your X-Plane root folder.
  5. Very happy to see you enjoying it.
  6. Easily the most bizarre bug I've seen in years.
  7. Can you do a clean install, either in a separate folder or a separate partition. No plug ins. Everything just vanilla X Plane, and just install the Saab. So ONLY X-Plane and Saab installed.
  8. Check if you have scroll wheel zoom enabled in the Gizmo tool bar on the right. It will be under User Preferences. Make sure it has a check mark in the box for scroll wheel zoom. And also check your filed of view settings. There is a field of view slider in the tool bar, as well.
  9. Please post your Log.txt and GizmoLog.txt files. Both files found in your X-Plane root folder. But you need to post them after the Saab has been loaded.
  10. Carbon Fibre paint
  11. Just a quick question. You mentioned you set the CTOT between 80 and 90 seconds. Justr an FYI, the CTOT is the amount of torque, percent, you want the engines to reach on takeoff. You also need to ARM the CTOT prior to takeoff, and then reach 64° on the Power Levers (indicated on the throttle console pop up), or roughly 15% less torque than the CTOT setting, before the CTOT engages.
  12. I got a message on Facebook about this, from someone who has found a temporary workaround. He said to click in the fields where your username and password go, even though there is no space for the text to go, and you should get a cursor. Just type in your information, and it should activate. This looks like a rare case of some graphical glitch, but he said it worked.
  13. So many things could have gone wrong that would have made it unflyable. I'm guessing, based on what you posted, that you missed a few things. TO Config, for example. Did you press the TO Inhibit button? I'm guessing you didn't, otherwise it wouldn't have gone off. You probably took off in GRD OPS mode. Did you push the condition levers all the way up, and not in the detent just before the max position? If you did, you will not reach takeoff speed. What were your engine temps? What was your torque setting? Those are just a few possibilities. There is a tutorial included in the documentation. This is a very complex aircraft, and the tutorial will help you get used to it. Once you get used to it, you could start up and take off within 5-10 minutes.
  14. I thought about this as well, but it's only engine 2 that is doing this. The log files will tell us everything.
  15. If it happens again, can you please post your Log.txt file and GizmoLog.txt files immediately after shutting down the sim and make sure you shut it down with the Saab loaded. Both files are found in your X-Plane root folder.
  16. Definitely need more information on this one. Can you go through your entire start procedure?
  17. Thank you, Marshall. For a 5 year old add on, it's still held in high regard by the community. And we're all very grateful for that.
  18. Wow! Thanks! Yessir. Everything will be done to the best of my ability.

    Garmin G530

If you're talking about the textures not being correct, take a look in your objects folder. Look for any files named "G530". Either G530.dds or G530.png Some will be rectangular, but you will have a square one in there. Delete the SQUARE G530 texture. take a look in sim and let me know how you go.
  20. It is way too early for any kind of ETA, but I can tell you the flight model will be overhauled to be X-Plane 11 only. Many things were changed in X-Plane 11 that affected the flight model of the Saab. But we updated it as best we could. The 3D mesh and textures will be done, literally, from square 1, with textures getting the PBR treatment. The mesh is already about 90% complete. Completely rewritten code with some extra's added. FMOD sounds implemented.
  21. Has been posted before. Has been fixed for the coming update.
  22. The tiller function has been fixed for the coming update, to allow for mouse manipulation, but for now, you will need to use hardware to steer, AFTER you have pushed the tiller in...and only after landing.
  23. I understand you're offering feedback, from a customers point of view, and as a paying customer, you're absolutely entitled to do so. So no offence taken. Just to clarify something you mentioned. You said the sound doesn't sound 3D. Keep in mind, this was initially made for X-Plane 9. X-Plane 10 was about to come out, and we changed everything to make it for X-Plane 10 only. X-Plane 10's default sound engine left a lot to be desired, with regards to quality sound (which is why Laminar have now implemented FMOD), so we used a custom sound engine back then (provided by Tom Kyler) to make the best sound experience we could...at the time. We just did what we could with what was presented to us. The Saab V2 will have FMOD and be completely overhauled for X-Plane 11.
  24. With all due respect, you're comparing 2 completely different aircraft, that use 2 completely different engines, in 2 completely different sims. Rest assured, we've used authentic Saab sounds, interior and exterior, and implemented them in a custom sound engine, and all sounds have gotten the "ok" from 4 different Saab pilots. Perhaps you could be a bit more specific about what it is you find lacking?
