  1. Think about it. A developer recreates one of history's most popular jets and, for years, keeps it updated to the point where it becomes an icon. Then all of a sudden, the dev stops producing updates. He tells us why, but secretly, we know rather than working, he's somewhere sipping Pina Coladas on some beach in the south Atlantic (probably listening to Margaritaville). Nooo, he's not fooling us, we know what he means when he says he's dealing with skins . Obviously, I'm being facetious. I believe Tom when he says he's bogged down on a project for Laminar Research. I believe he's rewriting the documentation, which I can hardly wait to get my hands on - I want to begin a study in WED and make some changes to some airports. I also know how, when confronted with multiple tasks, splitting attention among them may cause one or all of 'em to be lacking. I'm not suggesting that we shouldn't continue posting our wish list, like asking for the whistle sound. I believe I recall that changing the sounds to Fmod is on the roadmap for this aircraft. I might have a few suggestions to post here in the near future. Like most human beings, patience is not an innate trait. It's one of those things we have to practice, especially when we know that someone, somewhere, is sipping Pina Coladas rather than working.
  2. Thanks for the update, Tom. I meant to catch up with you at FSexpo-Providence to introduce myself. Maybe I can try again in St. Paul. No matter if you have to push it uphill or it rolls downhill, stay sane - It'll all be here when we're not. Blue skies and happy holiday season.
  3. I've flown the B733 a few times since this conversation started back up. Even without any updates, I found the Vnav and Lnav to be incredibly stable. The aircraft, even in its current state, is a lot of fun to fly. There's no harm in giving the developer a gentle nudge requesting the status of updates. The harm here is accusing the dev of completely abandoning the project, which, in my understanding, is not true. In my years of living, and trust me, I've got many years under my belt, I've found that I can generally catch more bees with honey, rather than vinegar.
  4. Hi Coop, Just checking to see if this issue has been addressed yet? I can't seem to brighten the display any more than what's shown in the image. Thanks!
  5. Do not disable Windows Defender. Use the method in this link to allow exceptions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/add-an-exclusion-to-windows-security-811816c0-4dfd-af4a-47e4-c301afe13b26
  6. I gotta tell ya, this CitationJet 525 has some of the best sounds I've ever heard in a flight simulator. Simply outstanding.
  7. Agreed. I reenabled the Gizmo plugin, and my landing gear behaves as expected. Thanks Cam.
  8. OMG. I'm loving this aircraft. The landing gear issue in my case was 3-fold. 1) X-Organizer app was disabling the X-Aviation plugin. 2) MalwareBytes was putting a plugin flie in quarantine, and; 3) I did not see my gear until I disabled the original Gizmo Plugin. Hope this helps someone.
  9. I am spooling in with no gear. The suggestions in the link below don't appear to apply to my situation. https://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/topic/31849-cessna-525-no-landing-gear-or-operative-switches/ The aircraft really looks cool hubbering though. Log.txt
  10. Coop, Congratulations on the product launch. It's in my virtual hangar, and I look forward to flying it. If I may go off-topic for a moment, the only aircraft I have keeping me tied to Gizmo is the SR22 Integra. Now that the Citation Jet has launched, perhaps you might circle back to Gizmo issue with the Integra? Thanks for all you do cause there's no way I could do it.
  11. I enjoyed the CitationMax Stream. Wish I had caught it in real-time. The plane looks amazing, in and out.
  12. I've enjoyed the raw sound test—now I can't wait to fire it up and make some noise that might just get me banned from the runway!
  13. I've never heard that Austin personally has ever had an issue with .org, so I'm not sure he'd 'disfavor' it. While not grabbing .org when he grabbed .com might be considered a missed opportunity today, the environment at the time was probably different. Austin focused on the core product rather than ancillary details, IMO. The environment has changed since then. MSFS has demonstrated the value of attaching a shopping cart to the simulator, and I can't imagine that some of the staff haven't heard or experienced some of the war stories surrounding the .org. I have my own war story with .org, so I'm personally delighted to have a place to purchase products that do not support .org. Plus, I might no longer have to deal with extracting .zip files into folders. However, I'll always opt to purchase a product from X-aviation.com even if it's available at X-Plane.com.
