Saratoga 32R 301T Flies and works perfect, for about a buck... Optional digital or analog panel. Real purdy too. Hehe

It seems pretty arrogant to think that we would be the only planet in a googlagillion to support life. And to find microbes... It's like cavemen discovering a rock. I'm certain of the incredible numbers of life forms out there. I'm also certain intelligent life is out there as well. (Maybe come and gone already) Contact with another intelligent species, whether it's happened or will happen, is a whole different debate. Oh yeah, we're not alone.

List of all payware aircraft for X-plane.
kiofka replied to Jack Skieczius's topic in General Discussion
You have a lot of the payware aircraft listed. I think it would be near impossible to list them all. Any chance you would open an "experimental" category? -
Coming into the Gate. Flying the AADX Seaking and it's new livery. Interior also refinished as well as the cargo bay.

Welcome back Mate!

List of all payware aircraft for X-plane.

I've seen a rise in activity at our site. It is only logical to assume there was a rise in the other sites. Thanks again! -

Thanks Jackal, As I predicted, there's a lot more activity with all those sites you listed. -
List of all payware aircraft for X-plane.

Hey there Jackal, In your list of payware vendors, you misspelled "C74..." And did you mean to say "accurate"? [actuate] Thanks for the list. That should help a lot of people. -
Absolutely a compatibility glitch between X-Plane and your Video card driver. Check for an update of your driver and that should solve the issue

Gosh, now I have to think back... It was a Mac SE, 16 mghz, w/20 mb hard drive, and 1 mb RAM, (somewhere around '85 or '86). I remember my brother and I thinking that it couldn't get any better. We were hooking our two platforms back to back and going one on one with Falcon 2.0. What a rush that was. I was also flying the Microsoft flight sim back then as well. Yeah the F-18 Hornet was cool but then someone monkeyed with it and created the Nuclear capable Hornet. That was insane. Loved those mushroom clouds! Man, we're talkin' 25 years ago... Can you imagine the flight sim in 25 more? Like, wind comin' out of your computer monitor with the smell of AvGas... LOL

I think I bought that plane once...

Good job Cap. I'm playing with the same thing now. (LIT ground effects). Javier does push the outside of the envelope with this technique. But if you get it working, the effect is spectacular. Thanks for the info on this.

I'll add my two cents... I've discovered .25 roughness to be pretty accurate to a freshly created asphalt runway. If I make the texture to be gravel, I have found .5 to add a realistic degree of bumpiness. (If you roll over it, you'll see what I mean. The aircraft tends to jump around a little.). A grass strip could be even higher like .75, again, the bumpiness goes way up. I don't think I would even want to attempt a landing on a 1.0 surface. But when the surface becomes wet with rain, all bets are off. Skidding comes into play and all the roughness in the world doesn't seem to help. Hope this clears it up.

Very Sweet Hotel Papa. That's an AADX 3600. Tons of power and elegance to spare.

Thank you Simon. The boys really seem to like it. They're breaking the 3 minute barrier per lap. (Thanks to the new MIG) Now I wonder, Can they do it at night with the lighting provided?! That should get an adrenaline rush.
-
Actually, The new paints on the Mig were just the beginning. Interior remapped and engine replaced/repowered. Other than the exterior shape, it's an entirely new/different aircraft. It really smokes in speed and ambiance.
-
Yeah, not exactly a stick and throttle toy. It's a bit more sophisticated and actually makes you work. That's why I like it too. The Gulfstream is a real pretty workhorse. Reminds me of the Clydesdales that pull the Budweiser beer wagon...

Oops! Just missed it... -
Nice one Simon. Caught this pic out at Bonneville. Somethin' goin' on out there. Lots of fast aircraft in and out. Looks like a new base. I wish I could get a closer look...

Absolutely Simon, System 7 is, (so far), a rock solid faster platform for me. I think even the boys at Microsoft will agree that Vista was an abortion. (That's why I had previously been running XP up to now.) I have noticed that there are some settings that make a difference in the 7 platform as well. Noteably the desktop appearance. There are the Aero themes which look real nice and 3d like, but I think you may pay for it in performance speed. If your just an info kinda guy, you can set your general appearance to be a "basic" color scheme for an improved performance speed. So yeah, it's time for the change up. Nice thing about Vista...? You can do an OS upgrade to 7 without a disk wipe...groan, like me from XP. Good luck mate.

Asked by Rush "You've got some nice graphics! What OS do you have?" Thanks Rush! It's a Cyberpower custom with an Intel duo core 8600 overclocked at 3.33 ghz w/ an Nvidia GTX 260 graphics card. Gamma setting for the shot was at 2.0 . the XP settings are pretty maxed out. She smokes. Chews X-Plane up for breakfast. Just installed the new System 7 OS, sweet. But to me, it all means nothing if your not flying a good aircraft. I really like the stuff from C74.NET. Rock solid performance and beauty. Thanks again Rush.
