  1. I have it....and all his Avros. Yes. I believe it is worth the investment. I've always loved the BAe's.
  2. Which ports are you plugging it into? Do any of the landing gear lights come on at all?
  3. Jim, I have two Radio Panels, the Switch Panel and the Multi Panel, two throttle quadrants, yoke and rudder pedals. I fly on my MacBook Pro and everything works perfectly with the plugins Tom has already provided. I know the plugins are available for download on the .org. I don't think you need to worry about any programming efforts.
  4. Here are some pics of my Saitek Yoke Power Supply. Hope they help in your quest:
  5. MadCatz store works this morning. Here's the link to the US store and the yoke power supply: http://store.gameshark.com/showCart.asp
  6. Yep, you can do that, too. The first time I plugged the power supply into the yoke it was pretty tight. Had to push it in harder than I thought necessary. Works great!
  7. If you want to use the built in usb ports on the Saitek yoke, you will need to contact Saitek and order the power supply for the yoke. There is not enough power in the yoke to power those ports. I know this because I had the same problem with my Saitek equipment flying on my MacBook Pro. I have my yoke plugged directly into a usb port on my MacBook Pro. Then I have two Saitek Radio Panels plugged into the yoke usb ports along with the two throttle quadrants, one of quadrant comes with the yoke and has a proprietary plug and the additional throttle quadrant is usb. I have my Saitek Switch Panel and my Saitek Multi Panel plugged into a 7 port powered hub that also has the external hard drive that X-Plane is installed on connected. You can order the Saitek Yoke Power Supply here: http://www.saitek.com The MadCatz store site would not load for me tonight. You'll have to get to it through the Saitek site.
  8. Nice! I printed it out to study while I'm flying in Alaska! Thank you, Lis!
  9. Just got this in my mail today. If you're interested in the real world science of takeoffs and landings, check out this free webinar from AOPA's Air Safety Foundation: http://aopa.ip02.org/form/aopa/viewhtml/9z1zno7pmgd6sisdhid4rfujvvnvg1ek28ontnm0guo?hkey=1343553285&recid=6543491&priority=FC10TLWP1&imm_mid=064c35&WT.mc_id=FC10TLWP1
  10. You're welcome, Simon! Looking good! I've still got to get the rest of them zipped up and sent to you. Been busy shooting the past few days. Hopefully I can get them sent later today.....or tomorrow......
  11. Since you asked nicely, Oliver, here's another one for you......
  12. You know the rules......no duplicate tail numbers! I can do similar paints, but the tail number will be exclusive to the owner. It's just one of my quirks. If you have a tail number you want to use, tell me and I'll see what I can do.
  13. Sorry to get you guys all excited about your liveries.... I'll be "ferrying" them to you shortly. Enjoy!
  14. Okay, I spent most of the day playing around with Duchess liveries. Here's the product of my work. These liveries are custom made for peteb, rush and simon. You'll note that each livery has a different tail number. The tail number plate on the panel will have the same number corresponding to each livery. Pete's Duchess Rush's Duchess (sorry, Oliver! But his has a different tail number.) Oliver's Duchess And these are for Simon And the last one without the tail embellishment..... One of these days I'll get to fly my Duchess........
  15. Simon, I haven't forgotten about you! I'll be working on a black livery for you, too.
  16. Pete, I'll be doing some painting this weekend and I'll see what I can whip up. I'll pick a tail number for you. E-mail me at winslowphoto@yahoo.com so I know where to "ferry" the plane. Rush, are you still interested in the blue/gold livery? I'll pick a tail number for you and send it out this weekend. And e-mail so I can "ferry" your plane, too.
  17. My first flight sim experience was with my 128k Mac in 1985 or whenever the first Microsoft Flight Simulator came out. Or maybe it was a couple years later when I got my Mac Plus with 1mb of ram. Just looked at the MSFS manual....1986. Next came FLY! and finally X-Plane at version 7 something. Nice going down memory lane........
  18. True that what Hobofat said. Not only do I own Air Northwest, I fly for California Airlines and I am a member of VPA. It is worth the wait. VPA is a place I can log ALL of my flights, whether for a VA or just GA flights. They have a lot to offer. And nobody said you can't fly for more than one!
  19. Scuba, You should check out Air Northwest. We're one of the longest running X-Plane based VA's in the world. We have the most diverse fleet with aircraft and routes from the 30's to present day. You can check us out at www.airnorthwest.org
  20. Hmmm...sounds like you might just have a bad throttle quadrant. How old is it? You could try the plugins at the org but they are for the panels. Try reinstalling the driver software that came with your yoke. Or go to http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php and download the driver software there.
  21. Has it worked properly before? Have you recently updated your X-Plane version? Try deleting your preferences and re-calibrating the yoke and throttle quadrant. I know it's a pain to reset all your prefs, but sometimes it is necessary.
  22. Having fun....and learning a lot! Seems like every aircraft designer does their paints just a little bit different. Makes it challenging to get it right. The Mooney has been fun and I've got a couple more livery ideas for her. I think I have the Duchess figured out, too. I'm planning a couple more Duchess liveries and then I want to do some more Sundowner liveries. And then there's the rest of the X-Aviation fleet! So many planes....so little time......
  23. Here are some shots of the redone interior of my Mooney. I'm sure it doesn't count as texturing a whole plane. But the blue interior just didn't look good with the new exterior paint.
  24. Rush, Do you like it as it is or do you want to make any changes? Of course, yours could not have the same tail number. Have a tail number in mind? I think I just finished the final touches on this livery. I'm pretty sure I'll be making a delivery to Oliver tomorrow. Let me know.... Steve
  25. Simon, Have a tail number in mind? Any other embellishment ideas to go along with that dark blue or black livery? Accent colors?
