  1. In addition, any time you use a credit or debit card online you run the risk of somebody misusing your card. If someone was able to access your debit card information they would have access to whatever bank account balance it was associated with. On the other hand, if they got your credit card information, they would have access to your credit limit.
  2. As Cameron said, to a merchant there's no difference between credit and debit cards unless the debit card user chooses to enter a PIN number at the point of sale. In that case, the merchant pays a slightly lower fee to the processing company. Other than that, there is no difference. Next time you are at a local business and you have the choice between credit/debit cards or writing a check, do your merchant a favor and write the check. We just had a client spend $1700 with us. She actually told us she would rather give us a check because she knew we had to pay for the "privilege" of taking her payment via credit card. She saved us around $50. Not a lot compared to what she spent, but if every client paid buy check last year, we would have actually added at least $2300 to our bottom line. Sorry for the hijack. I suppose my intent was to encourage you to buy directly from Carenado for a couple of reasons. 1) Carenado makes full margin by selling direct. 2) Better customer service through Carenado direct, if needed.
  3. I'm pretty sure Carenado accepts debit cards like your Visa debit-direct. Their Knowledge Base page indicates they accept both credit and debit cards.
  4. For what it's worth, I believe Carenado chooses not to use PayPal because the percentage PayPal takes is higher than what the credit card companies and banks take. My business takes credit cards, but we don't take American Express because AmEx charges almost double what Visa, MasterCard and Discover charge. With that said, I had someone pay me through PayPal once and I'll never do that again, either! PayPal took a chunk out of MY money that was due me and I was only receiving it. No PayPal for me ever again!
  5. It's here! Carenado's B58 Baron is available at www.carenado.com!
  6. Which program are you using to do your painting? In Photoshop, after you have made your new layer, in the Layers palette, there is a click box at the top. Click on that and change the Mode to Multiply.
  7. Project Oblivion stole it. It is pirated whether PO still exists or not. I would say no.
  8. Way cool! About time! Sure beats the night vision goggles!
  9. Patrick, I'm working on some liveries for the Caravan and the FedEx livery is on the list, however, the Caravans FedEx uses are cargo versions that don't have windows. I've talked to Dan about a cargo version so I'm waiting to hear more from him about Carenado's plans for a cargo version before I invest too much time into the FedEx livery. I have gone out to my local airport where two FedEx Caravans live and I've photographed them to give me more detail in the livery. It is in the works. Interestingly, DHL uses the windowed version of the Caravan and I have started work on that livery along with another commercial livery and a couple of privately owned liveries. Unfortunately, this is my extremely busy season. I haven't had a weekend to myself since the Caravan was released. I hope to get some liveries cranked out within the next 10 days or so.
  10. I bought her as soon as she was available, too, and I have about 12 hours in her so far. Gonna rack up some major hours in this baby!
  11. She's also at Just Flight: http://www.justfligh...avan-for-xplane and Aerosoft: http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/us/iboshop.cgi?showd690!0,6181774700,D12336
  12. I bought the newly released scenery package for one of the most challenging airports in the US: 2NC0 - Mountain Air. I have long owned a freeware copy of this airport and I have flown into Mountain Air numerous times in various aircraft, but never was it so realistic and hair raising! Talk about white knuckle landings! With animated trees and lots of golfers, golf carts and accurately placed homes, this place is awesome! I think it's a deal at twice the price! BUY IT!!! http://store01.prostores.com/servlet/x-planestore/Detail?no=375
  13. I'm thinking it's 1V8 outside of Center, Co.
  14. Find me some pics of the Era Alaska livery! I've googled and come up with minimal results.
  15. Dude! There are two FedEx C208's parked at my hometown airport, KBZN, every weekend. I'm heading out there this Sunday with my camera and the FedEx livery is high on my list. However, most of the FedEx Caravan's don't have windows. DHL Caravans, on the other hand, do have windows. Expect a DHL livery sometime, too. And an Island Air from Cape Cod, too. I have lots of ideas for this one!
  16. LOL! Funny you should ask! In fact, I've been working on a livery for the Caravan this afternoon. Should be ready by the weekend. I'll tell you this, though, she's not an easy one to paint! A lot more complex than anything I've ever attempted!
  17. If you want it now, you have to buy through Carenado direct (which really is the best way to buy for all kinds of reasons) for the first week or so. Then it is released to all other retail outlets, like: http://www.fspilotshop.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=127&ref=1&gclid=CP222cvq8bACFalgTAodIgPqxQ http://www.justflight.com/category/flight-sim-add-ons/light-aircraft/carenado-range http://www.simpilot.com/servlet/the-Carenado-cln-X-dsh-Plane-9-and-10/Categories
  18. Some screenies from this morning. Took my brand new Caravan up for some fun time! Getting loaded:
  19. It's here! The Carenado Caravan is available at www.carenado.com ! She's a beauty! I've already got a few hours in her and I am in love! Go get her!
  20. I concur! I didn't mean to infer it was just X-Pilot. In fact, I suppose it could be said of just about anything end users of any product are anxious to see. There are those who anxiously await news from Apple. Others look forward to announcements from Ford or Chevrolet. Or the kids in the back seat on family vacation yelling, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" It's not just an X-Plane thing. It just seems to be one of the common themes in many threads asking, "Is it done yet? Why isn't it done yet? When will it be done? What are you doing?" and so forth.....
  21. While I agree there are some great payware aircraft and even some freeware out there that utilize plugins, most of the planes I fly on a regular basis are plugin free. I guess I'm questioning your definition of "worthwhile" aircraft. I don't mean to hijack the thread or misdirect it. I love the MU-2 and I patiently await the update. It gets here when it gets here. I think the one thing we can learn at X-Pilot is that nothing ever gets done fast, it never gets done by the first "promised" date and it never gets done when the masses want it to be done.
  22. There are several other Cessnas available, too. Jason Chandler has the C150, C172 and a couple different C182's. Carenado has the C152 II and the C172N. http://www.c74.net/x...l_editions.html http://www.carenado....ortal/index.php I agree your computer should do just fine.
