  1. Definetaly. I find myself constantly adjusting those settings. Then I think "yeah, it is perfect now". Only to come back to the settings screen a week later and change things again
  2. One word: Water reflections. Turn it down. Each step in this setting is something like 5-10 fps for me. I have it at "low" and it is still nice (at least if you were used to earlier xplane versions that came completely without it).
  3. that's absolutely starting to look like something really good! I don't mind the secrecy as long as I have the impression that there is great progress done. Just come out whenever you're ready, whoever you are .
  4. It should work now and according to peter, you should already have an invitation in FSE to join our group! Happy flying!
  5. I've tried to register, but for some reason forum does not accept my gmail.com address Oh I see; I'll check that with Peter, who maintanins the forums.
  6. officially there are 22 members now. however, not everybody has the time to fly a lot. But the "harcore" team that consits of addicts like me are 5+ people.
  7. thanks for your comments! yes, it's fun, even more so as more and more planes come to xplane that really fit those scenarios. BTW, here's our second video:
  8. hearing it first hand is definetely better than to rely on rumours, that's for sure
  9. Here's the promo video of our FS Economy group "Whisky Air Charter" highlighting some of our custom sceneries and the "plus" that FS Economy gives to the simming experience. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>gWe'd be happy if you're interested in that stuff. I wrote more about our group at the org and thus keep it short here: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=43621. Read about how to become a WAC-pilot here: http://scriptmymac.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=251
  10. good news someone takes the plunge for a DHC-6!! Now if you tell me sowhere out there in the wide wide world someone also started with a C-208, I'd mark that day big fat red in my calender . Happy! Those are really favorites, but I am also prepared to be patient and use my time with all the nice planes coming out in the near future, the Saab, the new Falco, the CRJ. It's just getting better and better! :)
  11. On the failures main page set the number at the bottom to the max number. Since 9.5 failures appear sooooo much more often than they used to. That solves the issue.
  12. Nobody advertised this one yet? find it here: http://www.fsbreak.net/podcast/2009/12/22/fsbreak-48-x-plane-crj-200-interview-and-our-year-end-picks.html
  13. take your time. still have familiy business to do today and tomorrow
  14. any new screenshots already?
  15. well, yes. Only possible if the numbers of voters stays on the low end like with the best of at the *.org. Anyway, that's confirmation enough that it is of course tried not only by 1 person.
  16. I just pushed amerrir's Karma up one notch again. I think to keep the discussion going is fair enough. On the other hand, from my experience as editor in chief of a large music portal with a huge musicians and bands community, I want to tell you this concerning Javier's failure: We have a lot of votings going on ("best band overall, best live act, blabla..."), all reader's or peoples choices. Of course the musicians also create fake accounts. It's just too easy to cheat, even if you have a good opt-in system. If it happens in masses, they get disqualified. But there is no point in beeing resentful for a long time. One has to realize: That is part of user's behaviour in the net. I would be surprised if there were no other cheats in the .orgs votings other than the one by Javier. It is 100% NOT beliavable. He got caught, fair enough also. But like it or not: I bet all my money that in every single best of the month there is cheating going on. It's just common sense to know that. So, amerrir's point here is made on a false basis, while I still can see how one comes to the bad sentiments he feels. There has to come a point for you all to come over it. Either that, or both sides have to speak out COMPLETELY open. There is too much discussed about what happens "behind the scenes". Why is that thread there, why was the other one closed, for example. For us, who are really only pilots of x-plane, not running a site, not building scenery or planes, that's the thing both x-pilot and the org show that they rather exclude people in belief of building a community rather than include people. It's best to keep behind the scenes discussions behind the scenes, not hint at various things every other thread without getting to the point. Futhermore, I guess I am not the only one who is absolutely not interested in why amerrir and Cameron clash like that. Same thing: Speak out or both of you keep it to yourself or private discussions. Anything else just fails in producing joy with our hobby.
  17. Great example of the beauty and the beast that would work in this thread: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=41822&st=0 On the other hand it is also freeware and obviously a huge crowd of xplaners still miss those heavies. Yes, like Nils says, "Quite clearly, it's the aircraft type ... that counts in this case.".
  18. Another problem: The battery drains although the generator is on. (solved by opening in plane maker and saving again)
  19. But nothing from x-aviation concerning the SeaMax yet. Are those update notifications already out or will that take some more time? Just curious.
  20. Actually I don't like glasscockpits in xplane that much. So I will be happy with the A-Version. Perhaps it's possible to give the plane a standard GPS? I quite like what Heinz D. does in his planes, that is to add the option to display a "pop-up" GPS or fly with the "standard six" (like in his Beech18).
  21. I'm really looking forward to this one. Personally, this is the most interesting of your projects. Are the perfomances very different between the Saab 340B and the 340A?
  22. So, it seems obvious that Javier is out of work at the moment. The CRJ is out for programming, the SeaMax on sale - and we have it and love it already. That's why I say: Let's keep him employed! 8) OK, my selfish request would be a decent DHC-6 Twin Otter. The one made by aerosoft for MSFS is obviously amazing. Javier could do equally good, i am sure. I know there are two of them out there, one beeing the freeware version done by Gunnar, the other one the payware version found on http://www.x-hangar.com/store/. The first is pretty old now and only features a 2D-Pit, the second one does not convince me, especially concerning the 3D-cockpit. So I'm desperate But don't take it too seriously, I know that requests are disliked somehow. But maybe..... one never knows
