  1. oh no. "DON'T MOVE ANYTHING!!!" is what Javier said - and that's right on a Mac. Run the installer, telling the installer the directory of X-PLANE, NOT where you may want to have the CRJ installed (won't work as with other planes) - finished! Don't move the plane now or anything else.
  2. That's intentional, it's in the manual. I also like xplanes method of "manipulators". Better feeling. But I have to say that I use Apples Trackpad instead of a mouse. Feels much more like really "touching" the stuff in the cockpit.
  3. sure. here: . the link to their site is in the description.
  4. another intersting cockpit video
  5. no . you manage the speed yourself*. the autopilot function is for climbs/descent. You set the speed, give or take power, and the plane will climb or sink in order to maintain that speed. But when it reaches the altitude you preselected, the spd mode will disengage (and the plane will accelerate or slow down again, depending on your throttle settings). in short: to avoid overspeeding, use your thottles wisely (still figuring that out myself. it is so much more difficult to control than the prop planes I am used to. soooo fast) * other planes/autopilots may have the function "ATHR" (auto-throttle). That will control the speed for you also in level flight.
  6. That's right. Speeding up happens very fast, I'm also still "fighting" against myself not monitoring the speed closely enough. Anybody has a setting that he eases the throttle back after takeoff? like.. 70, 85...? How you do it: Gear up flaps up first, then throttle, or otherwise?
  7. Arti, I'm a professional in the music biz. I can relate to what you are talking about. But in any case, what I see on top of the list is for XP10 is wheather, ATC, 64bit. But sure I'll say this: If there was a good sound system in xplane I'd use my monitoring speakers more often - definately. As it is right now standard speakers suffice completely.
  8. Just read the post at the FSE forums: Update to the client will be done. Will only read complete fuel levels at beginning and end of flight and judge from there. good news!
  9. yes, I use Sandys Switch Panel Plugin, but pressing anything will make funny stuff to the CRJ, like flashing all lights for a second. I don't think it is really compatible. I just leave it untouched while flying the CRJ in order not to send "false" signals to the plane.
  10. there was an update to the Saratoga after the initial release, also "curing" some of the flaps issues. you sure have that, Perry?
  11. yes, that's how I came to think of it as a possible solution . I thought it may completely "stop" the fuel transfer and that could trick the x-economy plugin, but does not.
  12. ok I see. I'm on a Mac and use http://www.xpluginsdk.org/saitek.htm , wich won't work, too. No problem though.
  13. I tried XFLOW AUTO OVERRIDE, but that won't work either. seems not to be implemented.
  14. That's an old topic, I know, but it turns up as top seach hit for pilotview and I'd like to share my settings for pilotview hot buttons with you all. What that setting does on my iMac is: I only need to hit the number on the numpad to change the view. That did not work with only assigning the numbers, so I tried different stuff, and this works: [PRESET1] HotKey = NUMPAD1 HotKeyModifiers = NUMPAD0+Down [PRESET2] HotKey = NUMPAD2 HotKeyModifiers = NUMPAD0+Down and so forth....
  15. took me already 5 hours to fly the CRJ the second time today, so only made a very short trip with the Archer. Summary: Flight model seems good as far as I can tell after those few minutes. But the gauges, generelly the graphics inside, they are not as good as the other models. It's obvious it is an old model (for MSFS). Outside it's definetaly a beauty. Prediction: Won't fly it as much as the C152 or Saratoga, more in the "Mooney"-league for me, wich I also use very seldom.
  16. you got it working with the switch panel? how? wich driver for it do you use?
  17. first flight (not counting the tutorial) worked out very fine!
  18. well, what Phillipp said ??? I only know the MU works with x-economy since it was fixed, the CRJ does not. Anything else, like programming and stuff, is beyond my knowledge. I'm only the pilot, you know
  19. yes, I remember the MU2-issue . Difference is: Phillipp "works around" xplanes system.
  20. sorry about the link, it works, but I think you have to be registered to the FSE forums. Phillipp, sure. I know it is an issue with x-economy, not the CRJ. I just hope there will be a solution, knowing that ksgy was developing a new version of it anyway*. and the more complex planes are available, of course "we" want to fly them in FSE, too, the more the plugin has to manage. I'm sure it is not an easy task - keeping my fingers crossed. * posted here, because he's an active user at x-pilot
  21. Well, seems we can't use the shiny new xplane CRJ with FSE. The automated fuel system tells x-economy that "fuel seem filling" immediately after login/startFlight. @ksgy: Any chance we see an update to the x-economy plugin soon? @all other FSE-pilots: Do you have a solution?
  22. lol, yeah...need to solve that misery
  23. I like the C152 very much and sure hope the Archer will be in the same league.
  24. people must think I'm crazy.... happy to have these forums where people understand why that's an expensive hobby
