I would love to have some Alabama scenery to connect to my Tennessee scenery for a nice flight, if there is any chance.

Will your Washington state scenery be compatible with "Boeing Country" airports and other detailed airports that may be available in that area?

[SOLVED] Throttles stuck all the way back with Reversers on
signmanbob replied to signmanbob's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
This throttle problem is pretty crazy. It does not happen all the time. I find that, although my CH throttle quadrant calibrates perfectly in the settings, if it is plugged in, it is sometimes causing the throttles to go into full reverse. When I unplug the throttle quadrant, the throttles work fine. The crazy thing is that if it is plugged in and not set to be used as throttles, it still causes the throttles to go to full reverse. Yet everything shows that it is working perfectly in the settings. Very annoying :-\ ----------------------------->>>> ;D<<<<--------------------------------------- Figured out the problem! There was two levers from my Saitek throttle set programmed to prop 1 and prop 2. When I programmed them to "none" the throttles work perfectly. Happy Days! -
Thanks Chris. I hadn't looked here for a long time either. I appreciate the links.

Something that I have recently found that I am loving about X-Plane and I haven't heard anyone point out before, is the way it is built. When you install an aircraft or a scenery, you just put the folder in a directory and go. This seems to make the actual simulator separate from the addons, and if you have to reinstall X-Plane to correct a problem, you don't have to re-install all of your addons. With FSX, if you re-install the simulator over top of your existing install, it will severely corrupt all of your payware addons. Also X-Plane keeps system logs that tell you what the problem is, if you have one. X-Plane started crashing on me all of a sudden, when it was loading up. I checked the log and found out it was because I installed XPushback. I simply removed XPushback and everything worked perfectly. I haven't found anything like that in FSX.

[SOLVED] Throttles stuck all the way back with Reversers on
signmanbob replied to signmanbob's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
Thank you for the suggestions. I will try all of these today and let you know. I have two levers programed for the reversers, but I disabled them and it didn't make any difference. Like I mentioned, my quadrant is showing up as working perfecting in the calibration page. I will try unplugging it though. I will get back with how things go. It's puzzling because it was working correctly, so I'm sure it has nothing to do with the CRJ. I have caused something to happen myself. May even be a plug-in or addon that is conflicting. Thank you, Bob -
Hello, I'm having an very aggravating problem. When I am ready to start the engines on the CRJ200, after N2 passes 15% and I release the throttle locks, my throttles are stuck all the way back and the reversers are stuck full on. If I try to move them from within the VC, they pulsate back and forth but remain full reverse. I am using the CH throttle quadrant and it is working perfectly within the joystick settings, but has no effect on the CRJ throttles. It didn't do it when I first installed it and I have been flying it very well for a while. It just started doing this and I don't know what I have done. I would appreciate any help since I cannot fly it at all like this. Thank you, Bob

I am Happy with the CRJ I don't talk. Just fly.
signmanbob replied to Japo32's topic in General Discussion
Javier, this CRJ is simply outstanding and is the primary reason that I'm flying in X-Plane so much lately. I don't know what others think, but I feel that you should not put the work into improving this aircraft and not receive added compensation. Many developers make entrance level versions and improve on them, packaging the improvements as "professional" or "advanced" versions. Eaglesoft and Majestic are two examples. As you add more realism to this CRJ200, I would be willing to pay for the upgrade packages. I'm sure others would also. Everyone knows that you put a lot of work into this, and you need insentive to continue putting more time, money and effort into making it more advanced. Although you wouldn't want to charge for patches that repair what you have, don't be afraid to charge for upgrades that make it better and more complex or upgrade the software to a new version. Bob -

I hole-heartily agree! I looooove my new CRJ and I haven't even put the new update in yet. It works perfectly on my system and I have never had any problems with it since it was installed. I did go to X-Plane.org forums and posted that. People need to go and get TrackIR. It is the ONLY way to fly and really enjoy the new 3D cockpits available. Most people posting complaints are expecting to see a 2D cockpit. Flying in 3D takes a little getting used to, but is sooo much more fun and realistic. Bob -
I'm sorry. I see it now. Thank you so much! ;D
-
The email is just telling how to reset a password. I don't see anything about downloading the update. :-\

This is an awesome aircraft and I absolutely love it. ;D I just got an email that indicated that the CRJ has an update available, but I don't know where to get it. Where do I look to find this update? I would think I would have received a link in the email for the update or at least a notice to check my account, but there is no change in my account that I can see. Could I please be directed as to where to find this update? ??? Thank you, Bob

CRJ Installer Patch Released - Download Now!
signmanbob replied to Cameron's topic in Version 1.0 Support - Closed!
You simply lack diplomacy, respect and common consideration for the people you do business with. You seem to feel that because you paid $60, you have a right to come into a developer's forum and be rough and inconsiderate. It is impossible to test a product on every kind of system and sinario. Any new sim product will be released with some bugs or oversights. If you wanted a "bug-free" product, you should have waited a year before you purchased it. I feel that Javier Rollon and his associates are geniuses in airplane development for X-Plane. I want to encourage them to continue to make these complex aircraft so I can enjoy them. Now make the after-experience so rude and sour that they change professions. Everything that you are saying here can be presented with respect, and I see you have softened your tone on the latter post, since you were recognized for your rough attitude. You say that you work in public service, but I can't imagine it from your high saddled attitude. -
Thanks to all who supported the creation of this plane!!

Hello Javier, This CRJ-200 is absolutely amazing. It is everything that it was promoted to be and much more. I am extremely pleased with the purchase and since I am usually in FSX, now I'm spending a lot of time with X-Plane 9, just to be in my CRJ. I'm still in the process of reading the manual and tutorial and learning all of the procedures. Now I intend to own all of your aircraft sims. I just purchased your Javelin and am waiting for the download link. I overlooked the sale that you are having with the Seamax and Javelin combo, or I would have purchased both. I still want all of your aircraft, so I guess I will get it down the road. Thank you for all of your hard work. It is very much appreciated. Bob -
CRJ Installer Patch Released - Download Now!
signmanbob replied to Cameron's topic in Version 1.0 Support - Closed!
Gosh sakes! What a bunch of whiners! You think because you purchased their product that now the developer has to bottle feed you? No, it is only some developers in X-Plane that send out email notices. I'm used to buying payware addons for FSX and it is standard procedure to check support forums after purchasing a software product. That's why I'm here now and I'm not even experiencing any problem. For one thing, checking the support forums also makes you aware of any problems or issues others may be having setting up the new release. It may make you aware if a patch or SP is going to be released soon in the future. It is much better for the customer to take the iniciative to check the support forum, than for the developer to be sending notices after the fact. You should be glad that FINALLY a developer has made a serious aircraft sim for X-Plane that matches, and maybe even surpasses, anything that has been released for FSX. Up to now, little has come even close. This CRJ will bring many to X-Plane that would never have even tried it and that will speed up new improvements to X-Plane. I don't expect them to be kissing my butt because I purchased the product. If you read the manual, it is obvious, right from the start that they appreciate your purchasing their product. I greatly appreciate them spending the time and effort to build such a fine aircraft sim. I really don't believe they did it because they thought it would make them rich. Yeah...Javier Rollon and Bill Gates are probably chumming around together now because I sent him my 60 bucks. I doubt that! It is probably more like Javier's girlfriend is telling him that he better find a real job before she considers tying the knot! ;D Great job on this CRJ-200, Javier and company. All of your hard work and sacrifice is really appreciated by many, many sim enthusiasts. Don't pay any attention to a hand full of baby-whiners. -
Just a quote from Xplane10's Blog " know some people will complain about the price, 60 USD. It is expensive. But for all that you get, the moment you open that aircraft, it’s superb quality will blow the bill out your other ear. Please, don’t go whining like a little girl on ANY forum concerning the price. It’s 100000000000 percent worth it. YOU WILL LOVE THE AIRCRAFT. Guaranteed" Read the full article here and you must agree that this product is appropriately priced. http://xplane10.wordpress.com/ I agree with you 100%! I've heard the price whiners concerning all the really high-end payware aircraft, including PMDG, and they are all the same. They are used to downloading and filling their sims with freeware, and anything above $23 is just simply outrageous. When I seen this CRJ for $60, I was surprised that they were giving it away so cheap! I've been watching the development of this aircraft and waiting patiently, ready to pay more than that. They have been working very hard on this simulation for over two years and now I can fly a CRJ-200 on my home computer as much as I want, for only a one time payment of $60? Give me a break! This aircraft is beautiful and I see nothing to complain about. Once again I congratulate Javier and the whole wonderful team. You guys have just raised the bar for all X-Plane developers, set a standard that will attract new developers and made an historical contribution in realistic payware aircraft.

Although I haven't had a chance to get in it yet, I certainly hope that Turbine Sound can come up with a sound addon for this. Default sounds just don't cut the mustard with high end payware aircraft. Sounds have to be as high in quality as the aircraft. They are half of the experience. You put the flightplan in the FMC, fiddle with a few knobs, then sit back and listen to the sounds for a couple of hours. With FSX, I've been lucky enough to be able to purchase Turbine sounds for Level D 767, PMDG and Captain Sim. I hope now that the bar is being raised for X-Plane, some payware sounds will become available.

Your computer seems to be close to what mine is. My computer man sent these instructions to me and I haven't had any problems since I followed them. Maybe it will help you also. "One thing I have noticed is that your computer is only using 6.69GB of the 12GB or RAM available. The rest is being cached. While this is not usually a problem, it COULD be causing FSX to crash. Try disabling superfetch (the caching service) and see if you can make it break. Here’s a quick little guide on how to disable it: Load the Services window by typing "services.msc" (without quotes) in Start Search. Once open, locate the SuperFetch key. Now double-click the SuperFetch key and it will open the Properties dialog window. Here you can Disable it by changing the dropdown to Disabled. There is another interesting option called Automatic(Delayed Start), this will start superfetching after quite some time during startup. To stop superfetching immediately, hit the Stop button."

Congratulations Javier and team, on the release of the long awaited CRJ-200. I have purchased and installed it, but it is sooo frustrating because I have to finish my work before I even get a chance to look at your fantastic work. I don't know if you sim developers consider yourselves artists, but I hope you know that you are. This beautiful and complex CRJ is a fine art that just as well could fit into an exhibit at an art museum as it does on my X-Plane flight sim. Thank you for making our world more beautiful! Bob

Wonderful video!! Yes...you have my undivided attention. There is no question about that! I have my copy of X-Plane installed and updated like a lady in waiting for this beautiful bird. Laminar should really appreciate you because this CRJ-200 is going to bolster the popularity of X-Plane like nothing else. Congratulations on your dedication and perseverance in completing this ominous project. Bob

You guys must be getting ready to pull the trigger on this. I'm glad that I checked in. I have just loaded X-Plane fresh on my new computer, so with a direct link to the purchase page. I'm ready! Thanks, Bob

Hello Japo, I've been watching your films on YouTube and they are great. I subscribed so I can know when you put up a new one. This CRJ-200 is the X-Plane sim that I have really been waiting for more than anything. You are doing a fantastic job with it from what I can see. A big part of my fascination is the great amount of artistic talent and technical skill that the developer of a sim like this must have. I have never seen this level of detail in a desktop sim. I certainly hope Laminar Research appreciates what you are about to do for X-Plane ;D They need to at least send you on a 7day paid trip to the Bahamas or something. Thanks ahead for all of your work. Bob

This will work for me.....THANK YOU ;D
