I should have known about that earlier. Thank you for sharing this information. IXEG is keeping me busy and am a very happy with the updates...It surely did fix one issue of mine. With the immediate previous version, IXEG had to be the very first plane I had to load to properly open it whenever I started Xplane 11. For e.g, if I opened default 737 first as soon as I started Xplane and then tried to open IXEG there would be errors. Now thats gone... Thank you team IXEG

I was doing the test flight from KORD to KMKE. I took off from KORD and did RTE entry in the FMC during flight. Chose 07R for landing, no TRANS. IAF was BONOT. I tried to create CUSTOM WPTs before BONOT using RADIAL/DISTANCE method. Continuously got “NOT IN DATABASE” message. Is this a limitation of the 737 NGs FMC or has it (creating custom waypoints) not been modeled in IXEG’s FMC??

First things first. Congratulations to the IXEG team for this update, you made my weekend. While I was checking out the details of the updates, I noticed that the Thrust reverser levers in the cockpit do not animate. Basically, I have mapped keys on my joystick ONE to TOGGLE THRUST REVERSER LEVER and another key to APPLY MAX REVERSER THRUST. Now when I engage thrust reverser using my joystick keys, I am seeing that the actual thrust reverser levers in the throttle quadrant don’t animate to confirm Thrust reverser in action. Sometimes there is a lag in the animation and sometimes there is absolutely no animation. But the external view confirms thrust reverser engagement. Is there a sequence that I should follow? So that I see the levers animate...

Captains, I just had to reinstall IXEG on my computer today. Thats when I had to come across an option to choose from "GIZMO BETA" or "GIZMO STABLE RELEASE". I chose to install GIZMO STABLE. Now, my question is, how do I update to the next GIZMO update whenever a next stable release is available? Will I have to reinstall IXEG all over again? During today's initial attempts to update IXEG, I ran into problems prompts like "unable to move GIZMO..." from X-Plane folder to ...... As I didnt know how to figure out what was happening, I instead chose to reinstall all over again. Thanks Vijay

Custom waypoints in IXEG 737
vnangli replied to vnangli's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
I have a new problem and an opposite one I have disabled DOWNWARD WIND ILSes and have been trying to land using ILS on RWY 14 and 23R in KIND. My FMC is programmed for 23R and RACEN transition. As soon as the LOC is captured, the plane wanders away. The MAP feature in X Plane when DOWNWARD WIND ILSes are disabled, doesn't show 14 and 23R as ILS runways. But www.airnav.com says 23R and 14 are ILS runways. So, which information is correct? Airnav or X-plane? I dialled 111.75 for 23R, as soon as the LOCALIZER would capture the plane was wandering away from the approach course. I used IXEG 737. So, this is opposite to what was happening in KORD and landing on 28R where I had to disable downward ILSes. Basically, I want to use 14 or 23R for ILS landing when DOWWARD WIND ILSes are disabled. Can you please help me of how to deal with this? -
Custom waypoints in IXEG 737
vnangli replied to vnangli's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
Thank you. I was programming the FMC for arrival on ILS 23R at KIND through RACEN transition. A direct path from ZOSAR to RACEN and 23R would have been a sharp right turn. So, I wanted to create ZOSAR050/5 before RACEN. A FIX would be a good visual reference. Thank you for replying to my question. have a great day -
Friends, I was trying to create custom waypoints in the FMC based off of existing waypoint in the LEGS page. I was getting the message “NOT IN DATABASE”. Here is what I was trying to do. ZOSAR is a waypoint near KIND Airport. I wanted to create ZOSAR050/5 (basically another waypoint on 050 radial of ZOSAR and at 5NM distance) and I was getting the DATABASE error. My question is, Is the custom waypoints creation not a feature in 737 CLASSIC’s FMC or is it not modelled in IXEG’s 737?

Disabling downward ILSes did the job... My flight was predictable today. Thank you for the guidance. have a great day vijay

It worked perfectly.. I came across a new problem altogether. Here is whats happens 1) I program my FMC for KSBN -> KORD (PRADY, ILS RWY 28R VOLGR transition). It is a short flight 2) I dialled the ILS frequencies (111.10) for the Captain as well as First officer, entered the CRS as 273 for both 3) During flight and after crossing VOLGR, I engaged LOC. While the LNAV and VNAV was still active 4) This is where the crazy things happen, as soon as the LOC is captured the plane would completely fly away from the APPROACH course. I mean it would start flying to the left. At this time, I had to re-engage LNAV and press LOC when plane lined with the approach path WPTS. It would now capture localizer as if nothing had happened. The CRS remained unaltered. I would then engage APP to land Can someone please help me understand what’s happening here? I repeated this exercise over 4 times (flew from KIND to KORD, chose ILS 28R, VOLGR transition) it did exactly the same thing as mentioned in 4th bulleted point. I checked the CRS for 28R in Chicago O hare’s details, it is 273 (www.airnav.com)

I haven’t tried the option yet, I will report back with what I will find after this modification...Thanks for the reply.

I am trying to understand if it is only me facing the issue. When I tried to modify the vertical altitude profile (VNAV mode) in the FMC during flight, the frame rates was dropping to below 1FPS. And I turned off my Malware tool running in the background.. Didnt help. for example if one of the legs has 240/FL180, I was trying to modify it to /10000. The screen would freeze for a couple of seconds and the EXEC key would glow. If I clicked it, FPS would be pathetic. Can some one having dealt with this situation share their experience???

I have installed the X-Plane is installed on my desktop (C:/ drive)

IXEG is here to rule...Great job, you guys deserve a pat on the back...These are minor issues, I understand. Next serious question : When is IXEG 747 coming?
-
I faced the same problem you have highlighted, this evening. if IXEG is the first Airplane opened after Xplane is started, it opens fine. But if I switch to IXEG after having opened any other airplane. The error message Torbinator has highlighted has been appearing. Any help??

See if the solution provided in the attached post fixes any of the problems you are facing...Share your experience. Thanks Vijay

My hands are itching to go try the new learning....But still have about another 6 hours to go.... Thank you again...

Now I know what I was doing wrong..As soon as I touched down, I was using the key assigned to "HOLD THRUST LEVERS AT MAX". Should I manually pull the THRUST LEVERS to ZERO (which will be still be in FORWARD position at the time of touchdown) and then use the KEY assigned for " HOLD THRUST LEVERS AT MAX"? Maybe I was doing the same mistake with Zibo's 800 as well (you had replied to my questions, do you recall??). Thanks again. Can you please confirm if I have got it right?

I am using one of the keys on my Logitech Joystick. It is not one of the AXIS levers (thank you for guiding me with a similar issue on Zibo's 800 plane). In fact the key I am using is mapped to the function HOLD THRUST LEVERS AT MAX. I also have another key mapped to TOGGLE THRUST LEVERS. Neither of them actuate the THRUST REVERSER LEVERS. Thanks again for looking into my question

I installed the 1.21 this morning and did a quick 10NM ILS landing. I noticed these problems When I was engaging the Thrust Reversers at landing, the THRUST reversers levers (Cockpit view) were not seen moving at all. However, I was able to see the light "REVERSERS UNLOCKED" glow and see the ENGINE COVERS retracting (external view/outside view). I didnt try it enough number of times to see if the KEYS in my joystick had any problem (had to run to office, I live in EST ). I am reporting this issue to see if any other IXEG fan has faced the same problem I was desperate to see the new update. But, this IXEG 737 is my most favorite XPlane 11 airplane...Thank you all again

Constant beep (cockpit alert) at takeoff...
vnangli replied to vnangli's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
“Hardware axis lever”.. this is the first time I have come across the terminology.. I did some Google research to understand this term. My hardware axes are all assigned to roll, yaw and pitch. I have assigned the rapid fire trigger to engage my speedbrakes. Thank you for the pointers. -
Constant beep (cockpit alert) at takeoff...
vnangli replied to vnangli's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
So, how can verify what’s happening with the datarefs and find the cause. With the speed brakes, I have the confirmation not only from the surface on the wings but also from the levers position on the pedestal. I would like to explore more with this, I would appreciate any guidance. What I want to know is how to open the datarefs and what factor should I tweak and do a trial and error to see if I figure out the beeping problem. -
Constant beep (cockpit alert) at takeoff...
vnangli replied to vnangli's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
I am using a logitech 3D pro joystick and have configured two switches on one side by the 8 way hat switch for flaps to be extended and retracted. Speedbrakes are down ( confirmed by checking the wings) Flaps extended, the gage in the cockpit confirmed the flaps position trim within the green band parking brake released. What I noticed is, if the throttle is controlled manually, the beeping happens only after a certain throttle position. If I hit N1, the beeping is happening after the throttles cross a position. What am I doing unintentionally? -
Friends, I am having a problem with the IXEG running on X Plane 11. At the time off takeoff after lining up with the runway, as I push the throttle I get the constant beeping which goes away after I takeoff and retract the landing gear and flaps. This happens both prior to an FMC programmed flight and a free flight which doesn’t involve any FMC programming at all. I have checked the parking brakes and flaps, there is no problem there. Meaning the flaps are set to 5 and parking brake released. Can somebody help me figure out what’s happening? thanks vijay
