No worries, I am in no hurry as work is getting in the way of everything so simming time has been reduced to near zero! Still, we have snow warnings for this week so I might get some time in-sim after all!!! Paints are looking fantastic, and more screen shots to keep me going? Slainte, Andy NZCH

Hi Aegen, that is a fantastic paint of AMY.....cant wait to have her in my fleet, then I can have historic flights around NZCH anytime I want Slainte, Andy NZCH

I concur with Redfisher........Damn!!!!!!!!!!! Its incredible how amazing the models coming out using the advances of V10 are looking, you could almost swear they are actual photos of real aircraft!!!!! I have the "old" version that I bought for v9 and it was stunning then, it works ok in v10 under 32bit, so i cant wait for the update!!!! Slainte, Andy NZCH

Congrats on the 2 new purchases!!!! I have the old X-45 and its a great wee beastie, but the '52 is that next step Enjoy them both Slainte, Andy NZCH

That boy never stops amazing me.....and he does them all so quickly! I have one that I would love to see in the sim world as I see it fly over our house most fine weekends. That one was released ages ago, I have it for Ver9 and 10, its a great plane that can be a right sod to start if you get things wrong T50, does yours still have the air freshner in it???? Slainte, Andy NZCH

I thought about helicopters but just cannot get enthused about them....ah well. I have made my decision.....DC3 it is!!!! Corey, understand what you mean about the chipmunk, it still looks pretty and VFR is one of my favorite types of flying but I have enough planes for that (BlackShape Prime anyone?), so thats all covered. Vintage plane with twin radials is where its at! We have one flying around here in Christchurch, its owned by Pioneer Air and is really pretty, especially on the low passes over our house Right, Im off to purchase a classic, thanks for the advice everyone and I appreciate the time you all took to answer my questions SLainte, Andy NZCH

So far, the DC3 is getting my attention, love that old bird. CoreyR.....how do you feel about the Chipmunk? Im interested in it as its a Khamsin product and I have always liked his work. Slainte, Andy NZCH

Hi everyone, since I cant make up my mind I thought I would ask the talented and insightful people of this mighty forum for some "guidance" in helping me choose my next purchase. The delima I have is that I really like 3 different planes for very different reasons, if I had the funds I would buy them all and not worry about it First is the DHC -1 Chipmunk, I love this plane as it is a) a De Havilland product and because its small and suits my flying style (VFR, nuffin' else matters....) Second, the very nice T28 C because its a radial engined bird and that means fantastic grumbings from the engine (heard a corsair once and nearly fainted.....the sound was so awesome!!!!) Thirdly, the very excellent DC3 from the boys! I love this plane and have the Heinz version (I know, not exactly comparable to this mighty offering....), and fly that quite often.....but it needs something else Theo's texture work is just art in itself, and the modelling cant be beaten IMHO, the systems recreation I believe is just right for my level of flying. I own a few of the X-Aviation planes and have enjoyed them everytime I fly them.....they are the standard on which I base all my other payware planes, and future purchases So there we have it, I like all 3 for different reasons but just cant decide on which to get..... anyone willing to give me some insight? Would prefer info from those that own at least one of two of these planes and their thoughts and reactions to them.... Slainte, Andy NZCH

Had a look at the new enhanced panel.......very PMDG quality like, and thats a good thing!!!!! Well done lads, cant wait for the release Slainte, Andy NZCH

Hi SerriaTango, I have the DC 8 and thinks its fine, compared to the B747 Classic its more than that offering in terms of panel and model. I bought the original when it was made by Michael Wilson (I also have the 707 series as well and these are great also). We need to define "crappy".....in my terms its a plane that has been dragged u-p from XP8 and "made" to work in XP10....these are crappy. Also, when are developers going to add AO maps to their cockpits???? It doesnt need to be over the top, just a hint so that the new lighting effects in XP10 can be "better", by this I mean there still needs to be "darks" put in the shdow areas (Im an artist so I see in light and dark when painting.....), to enhance the overall visual appreance. Just my NZ$0.02 worth Slainte. Andy NZCH

Just got back from Japan and the new Shinkansen E6 "Red Japan" is capable of doing over 500KmH......so that vid isnt to far of reality!! Slainte, Andy NZCH

Hi Carlos, opps, so sorry, my mistake Still, awesome looking aircraft!!! Slainte, Andy NZCH
-
Hi Carlos, so this plane is getting close to release? Slainte. Andy NZCH
-
But in this case there is nothing "broken" so why fix it? Keep on with the important things, re-painters can deal with the other "stuff" Slainte, Andy NZCH
-
Once again Theo gives us texture magic!!!!! Slainte, Andy NZCH

Im thinking 3ds max as the nav cube isnt the same in Maya but looks identical to the one in max. Amazing what people use in making quality planes for XP How is your project coming along? Slainte. Andy NZCH

Quick question......what 3d software are you using? Images are looking fantastic!!!! Slainte, Andy NZCH
