Support the real innovators or watch the sim languish in mediocrity forever.

The fact that its been crashing since it was released and wasted probably a hundred hours of my time.... 'cause, you know, it couldn't be XSB64 that crashes, it has to be Gizmo64... Nearly every single crash to desktop currently happening to users is caused by having XSB64 installed.

XSB 64bit is on my personal blacklist. Your mileage may vary but I consider it not worth touching.

What, no custom GL?

X-Plane isn't very good at fighter jets, especially modern ones that use every dirty trick in the book to get max performance. Service ceiling isn't a hard limit on maximum altitude, it's the maximum recommended. You can zoom climb past it and put yourself into dangerous corners of the flight performance in the real or the simulated aircraft. http://www.flymigsokol.com/flights/space_program

SkyMaxx Pro has gone downhill since release?
Ben Russell replied to AnonymousUser68's topic in General Discussion
Actually, I'd say Tom has an excellent grasp of English, a truly absurd language. He does very well to share his opinion in a second language. It's very rare that his meaning cannot be clearly understood. While he may have the occasional typo I value what he has to say far more than most. Nitpicking silly little things while providing very little of value on a regular basis however is what I would define as stupid, and that fits you to a tee. -
Yes. This product is somewhat unique in it's approach* and we have been in discussions this week about moving it forward for packaging. (The CRJ has multiple variants from multiple vendors...) I'll be looking at it in the next day or two to determine exactly what's required to turn it into saleable product. Shouldn't be long after that...

Mortens word is the official end of the argument. You're going to have to wait until AFTER the release of the fully functional model before your desire is even considered. You are the only person that I'm aware of that is after a "lite" version so I wouldn't expect much priority. As a side note, there's a lot more to making a lite version than "just deleting a few systems". Price point, upgrade path, division of revenue, support complications, what level of "dumbed down" do we take it to, etc. (Go to a quality restaurant, order the mains and ask them to hold everything except the fries....)

If you want a lite version you can choose from either the FREE x737 or the FJS 732.... plenty of options already. My views and opinions do not reflect those of IXEG. Just pointing out the freaking obvious. *Edit: Minor typo. 373 -> 737

That is one of the easily diagnosed issues. Spend the time looking into the scripts and pulling them apart and you will find data value parsing issues with the result being that the NOAA python scripts attempt to push insane values into the x-plane weather datarefs. I've spent the time. The code is buggy.
-
The NOAA plugin has bugs that are known to send absurd invalid values into the X-Plane weather system. This is not something the SkyMAXX team should be expected to fix or work around. The NOAA plugin is very well known to be broken or suspect for many many users.

Thanks for your research efforts.

Both spelling variations of that word are valid and correct depending on where you were educated. Z is American English. S is British English. My spelling is a mixture of the two after half a life time spent programming which is a field dominated by American English. Spelling is less important than information layout. Something like this: "Seasons Export plugin for 3ds max Tesselation" is very nearly a valid sentence and a valid feature request. If we leave out just one word, "Tesselation", then the request makes almost perfect sense. "Seasons Export plugin for 3ds max" There are many different levels of technical ability to be found on the forums. I would not be at all surprised to find someone genuinely asking for a "Seasons Export plugin for 3ds max Tesselation" .... fully expecting some kind of magical wonderland plugin that can create all sorts of godly scenery automatically. I have seen far too many of these wish list threads. 99% of them are NEVER read by Laminar. Ever. You do have third party attention though, and you NEED to make your wants clear and easy to asses or we will also ignore them. Remember, this is the 50th time I've seen one of these threads. If you had simply pressed enter a couple of times when typing your original post it would've been much, much clearer. No need for correct grammar or spelling.... Your intent is obvious. It would be much easier for me to just ignore these kind of posts. Leaving them to rot in obscurity. I'd much rather help us both discover what you actually meant. Creating products takes a huge amount of effort. If you want people to invest in creating what you want you need to start by investing in a clear description of what you want. I don't care AT ALL for fluff and niceties around communications. I want the facts. Save the flowery language for your partners. Spelling is not that important. Basic information layout IS. If that's achieved through use of technically correct grammar that's great. If you're unsure use some other method to make it readable. A whole pile of tangled words is pretty much useless and easily ignored. So my three wishes: 1. Every user posting an error posts their Log files EVERY TIME without fail. 2. Every user requesting a feature or improvement takes the time to do their research and present their case. Help us help you. 3. Every user posts screenshots or video of a graphical glitch instead of attempting to describe it with words. What makes sense to you probably makes no sense to us. And I'll close with a picture. Thank you all for your contributions. We're all learning every day. If you think I'm rude perhaps you should turn on the TV and reflect on the political world for a moment.
-
Absolutely not offended at all. Telling you how to constructively present your "wishes" is being nice. If you just want to piss in the wind, that's fine by me. If you want to actually have a chance of having your wishes granted, listen up, take the advice and realise that it helps you communicate more effectively.

No.

Thanks. Many FSX users simply assume that we know of every single addon they've ever used, no matter the product name, or worse, Acronym. We don't. So for the sake of clarity and correctness, do yourself a favour and always provide a link. You know what you want. We don't and we don't want to guess. And yes, we do have better things to do than try and figure it out. These products don't build themselves. Thanks.
-
Please use hyperlinks to highlight/clarify product names like "Opus". I have no idea what it is and I don't feel like "investing" 10 minutes into google to figure it out.

It's an unrelated Gizmo feature not used in any way for the Saab at this point in time.
-
So that was actually meant to be...?: 1, Seasons 2, Plugin for 3DS Max 3, Tesselation
-
I wouldn't go anywhere near HP products regardless of specs on paper. They stopped making quality goods many years ago.

Shot with an iPhone 4S standing in my backyard. It's not exactly what you're seeing, but it's visually similar. If the very large blob of solid monotone gray from your original screenshot were broken up just a little the overall visual effect would be a lot less jarring.
