  1. +1, too bad for Virgin Blue VA repainters, that might take a while, and will be boring.
  2. Kaphias, your landing was nice, the Alaska pilot's, not so much. I have no idea why, but the video still hasn't made it to youtube yet. I logged in and checked "My Videos," and nothing. I'll retry this afternoon. Edit: Still not there, retrying now. Edit 5/4: Still not there, this is seriously annoying.
  3. Oh, sorry, I missed where you said that. Thinking, and I have nothing. A graphics card issue is my only other idea, and that has been pretty much ruled out.
  4. +1, and I thought the scenarios in the HEMS scenery were tough. I've been having some issues with shooting, so it's just going to be one shot for my video, the S-76 C++ from Brett S., I think DMO, and a few others. I already shot that part, so expect it in the very near future. One quick question for the German members of this forum, what music are you guys not able to hear in youtube videos? I just want to make sure you guys can fully enjoy the videos. Update: Uploading to YouTube now. I used a song available on the band's website for free, and mentioned them in the credits. There is nothing regarding legality issues on their site that I can find. Hopefully, that will be enough.
  5. I have nothing, the angularity of the shaded areas rules out clouds, and I think the topography wouldn't cause this either, it seemed slightly flat for that.
  6. I'm guilty on a few occasions, but this is a huge example of what is being mentioned. http://www.radair1.co.cc/2009/11/01/a-new-day-has-come/comment-page-1/#comments
  7. By default I believe it is `. That is at least what I use and I don't recall changing it. And also, take time to configure your audio settings, or else the input will be the built-in mic (If you have one), and output the built in speakers.
  8. Simon, loved your video. Nicola, not sure what the rude awakening part was, but that was smooth as silk. I'll get some more shooting today and hopefully finish by tonight. My top priority is going to be shooting a B-17 landing from a turret.
  9. Ok, so I thought it might be nice to have a thread of nothing but greasers or tough landings (Severe X-Winds, tight space in a VTOL, etc.) I am currently working on shooting and editing one, but in the interim, go ahead and post your videos!
  10. Dang, it's like payware release season!!
  11. Actually, now that I think about it, the skies throughout LA_CTR were clear yesterday when I was controlling. The mountains at first made me think it was near KPRB where I gave you that crappy vector but now I'm not so sure.
  12. Was that when you were in my airspace or before I came on?
  13. Not a 27" IMac used by the family-terrible frame rates with low rendering options and somewhat frequent crashes.
  14. Atlanta Center is now open on the flightserver for anybody interested. Put it in the .org shoutbox if you want to, I wouldn't mind more traffic.
  15. X-Plane 9+ Battlefield 1942 (If you count taking one of the infantry guys into an aircraft on Iwo as a flight sim) All that I can remember
  16. Very Nice, I say go for it!
  17. Thanks, I love that bird. Doors are super-easy, and making it the 2D pit was quite clever on Nils' part. Some of the liveries I have downloaded are extremely good-looking *cough* the ones you made *cough*. A few issues, but I haven't dived deep into any reading files that came with it so the answers should be within (I also haven't really looked at your tutorial, I hope to get around to that today). I just start at CYSW and fly south-east, knowing that it is on the south face (Tip-Don't look for the rescuers on the north face-they aren't there). Having the beacon visible at night also helps for a night rescue. I know the PDF attached with the scenery says don't try a night landing but I think I just have to try it. (I'll have NVGs, and take my time in a brightly-painted helicopter if it helps)
  18. Shot from each of the SAR scenarios but the Edmonton car wreck. I did finally get the ledge, if it counts. I kinda set my engine on fire.
  19. Hopefully will get to that, need to re-install OSX first, so those shots will be delayed.
  20. Niice, I haven't gotten there myself, but it looks pretty tight.
  21. Darn you guys, making me get more heli-addons when I don't have the time immediately to check them out! I'll put up some shots tonight if I can actually get away from the scenery.
  22. To answer your question, I couldn't get the doors to open at that point, but still wanted to drop the bombs. Surprised not to see the engine fire lights turn on, I checked the exterior and they fell right through. And yes, one of the best of XP9.
  23. Oh, misunderstood on my part.
  24. WTF? ??? I dropped the bombs, and for some reason it didn't blow up the bird. I even checked the external view, but they fell straight through the fuselage.
