  1. I'm guessing here but I think the beta version of Gizmo might solve the DatarefTool crashes with the IXEG. Ben can confirm...
  2. Yes, DataRef Tool was the one...
  3. Maybe I was just lucky... I had to remove it after the 10.50 release as it kept on crashing my X-Plane.
  4. Here's the list... I used DataRefEditor to get the list... Note that the SP (space) key is not mapped nor active in the sim. You will also notice that there's no entry for the CLR key. You'll have to send a custom command to use the CLR key. ("ixeg/733/FMC/cdu1_clr" and "ixeg/733/FMC/cdu2_clr") IXEG_CDU_Drefs.txt
  5. Hi Ben, Thanks for the info... I understand. I'm only building this "virtual" CDU for my own use so I accept the risks with potential changes in the underlying platform. Trying to get the virtual CDU to look exactly like the one in the sim is a nice to have. The current implementation is already 100 times better than having to pan around in the VC to try and "tune" the CDU.
  6. Question to the devs: I'm struggling to determine the text format when reading the CDU line datarefs for the IXEG 737. It seems as though highlighted (reversed) text is indicated with an ampersand (&) or multiple ampersands. Input fields (square blocks) are indicated as a hash (#). I'm also getting a diamond with a question mark () character which I assume indicates that the text should be displayed in a smaller size font. However, these diamonds are not consistent, especially on detailed lines where the pilot can change speed/altitude constraints on the LEGS page. If you change the default speed and or altitude (small font) to a pilot selected one then the text should be displayed in a larger font, but there is no indication from the data returned from the Dataref to this effect. Could someone from the development team perhaps assist me with this? Thanks.
  7. Hi fsedano, All CDU screen outputs are already available as custom datarefs. (like ixeg/733/FMC/cdu1D_line1L_t and ixeg/733/FMC/cdu1D_line1L_d) The _t is the smaller "title" line and _d is the larger detailed line. Co-pilot CDU is cdu2D... there are separate datarefs for scratchpad, page number and title lines as well as the CDU annunciators. (MSG, OFST and FAIL) Pretty much all you need to build your own "virtual CDU". Let me know if you need the complete list... (yes, I made my own) Here's a screenshot from my Android tablet virtual CDU... still very much work in progress.
  8. After some investigation I found out that the ExtPlane plugin can actually issue commands to X-Plane... so I'm now using the commands to control the CLR key on the IXEG CDU. It's so much nicer to use an external device to control the CDU.
  9. You're welcome.
  10. Hi, What is the dataref for the CLR key on the IXEG CDU's? Thanks
  11. I'm busy developing an Android app to control the CDU over the network and I can't find the dataref for the CLR key on either of the CDU's in the IXEG 737. DataRefTool is picking up all the other datarefs, but nothing for the CLR key. Thanks Edit: I got this all working by using the commands for the CLR key... I didn't realise that the ExtPlane plugin can also issue commands to X-Plane.
  12. I understand... The plugin I'm using only exposes datarefs. I'm building an app for Android to control the IXEG cdu's so I can't use commands.
  13. Hi, thanks for the info. Apologies... I was merely saying that the DELETE key was working. I'm using a third party plugin which is exposing all datarefs via sockets. So I'm not using any commands. It simply seems as though the dataref for the CLR key was not mapped. I even tried to map to ixeg/733/FMC/cdu1_clr in FlyWithLua with no success... all other custom IXEG CDU datarefs are fine in FlyWithLUA. Thanks for the help.
  14. Nope, not working... ixeg/733/FMC/cdu1_del is the DELETE key which is working but not the CLR key. All other keys are working 100% except SP which seems to not be implemented.
  15. OK, finally managed to get it working, but... I can't find the dataref for the CLR key on the IXEG CDU's... DataRefTool is not picking them up. I can't clear the scratchpad remotely. Anyone able to tell me what it is?
  16. I had to google MQTT... Could someone tell me what the data type is for the IXEG CDU screen datarefs?
  17. Hi, thanks for the info.
  18. Hi, Is it possible to read the custom IXEG datarefs via UDP? I was looking at the SET DATAREF STRUCTURE which can be used to set a dataref via UDP to any value... so this should work for sending data to x-plane. But it seems as though it's not so easy to read custom datarefs from x-plane via UDP. The data output screen only allows a set list of items to be sent out via UDP. It seems as though you will have to create an SDK plugin to be able to send custom dataref values via UDP. Is this the case, or is there another way? This would be quite nice for using Arduinos etc. to be able to interface to the IXEG plane as well as for Android and IOS devices.
