The IXEG and X-Plane 11 Topic [Merged]
donoscar replied to danitabaires's topic in General Discussion
i am talking about 10 as well, I still enjoy the combo 10&IXEG more than any XP11 combination I have tried so far... What is VNAV anyway? I use VS and LVLCH for my descents, just like the vast majority of rw pilots out there if you have to comply with ATC guidance, and you don't just engage AP at 400ft and disengage 50 before touchdown.... and for your statement about not improving it, I would try to read what statements these IXEG guys have left here about SP, XP11 resources etc and you might come to the conclusion that some posts look a bit childish & ridiculous. look up and read posts from Jan, tkyler, Morrigan etc before posting more about this subject. a matter of being really interested in the plane and not just looking for controversy imho. try the search function, it really is awesome -

to all the impatient ones, I understand and can follow your frustration, but moaning daily here will only get the team busy to answer your posts... I understand you guys, we all are adicted and would like to fly it asap on our new sim, but I have learned the following from the original launch of the 733... use the time to fly the rest of your hangars, you won't be touching those other planes for a while once this one has been released... -
I would not recommend the JAR addons those have been buggy on my end ever-since, especially XP11 doesn't like them

I noticed this is influenced by winds. as soon as the plane has turned itself facing wind direction, it stabilizes. like a wind-mill if you see what i mean. so to your question, it might not be enough. -
Hi, I was experiencing some weird behaviour with MaxxSMP with changing visible weather and found this entry in my GizmoLog: debug: 64.946: gxt.load: MAXX_RWC debug: 64.947: gxt.load: XA_Activation debug: 64.954: screen w/h:1024/768 warng: 64.971: gxt.load: ErrorReport: FAILED: ext_info is nil, bad link? debug: 64.972: gxt.load: Shell debug: 64.972: gxt: Completed AutoLoad. is there anything wrong with my RWC install/activation or how to understand this ErrorReport? thanks in advance Oscar

now you're showing off

And I was so proud to know what I already know about this bird... there's definitely some stuff left in the to do bucket for me
-
why is that so important? I don't give any importance to likes neither here nor on fb... if XA didn't want this, they would probably cut off the option . why bring that up publicly, send him a PM... sounds a bit like elementary school tbh.

IXEG 737 in the top of XP aircraft usage list
donoscar replied to Morten's topic in General Discussion
no surprise to me, a few surprises on the charts though... didn't know JAR had a CRJ :-) -
unfortunately, this is the standard industry reply to such questions, I think it was in a forum of a dev called PDGM or so where I first read it, and it also took me time to fully understand its meaning... explanations and comments on this could be found here using the magic of "search". try it, it can save you a lot of typing :-)
-
indeed, thanks a lot for taking the time to explain. I haven't deleted good ol'10 yet...
-
thanks for looking into it, I suspected smp as the crash happened after a metar update i do however use 32gb of ram with 6gb vram on my 980Ti i am aware of issues with sceneries... i will start over with clean sheet. it was no issue so far though XPUIPC is up to date
-
here is one more, on xp11 METAR.rwx

I had to comply with the requirements of one "very precise ATC" (to put it politically correct), so I copied and pasted your suggestion into my flight plan or I would not receive clearance for my flight... i was so proud and happy at first to have just shut a silly geeks' mouth as he finally cleared me, only to be then blamed for wrong information since my TCAS would not provide him with altitude as I executed the SID... please, IXEG update it and help my case to eradicate those "I am even more realistic than real world ATCs" on IVAO
-
I still prefer realistic clouds, especially when they aren't so far away as we can't see anyway.
-
knowing that PMDG has repeatedly mentioned their intentions to migrate their fleet to X-Plane, and as far as I know there are 2 free variants already available, that market would probably be a bit dry by the time such an add-on can be produced

yep, definitely, VNAV is not 100% bug free as I understand, and real world flying with all the controllers around and restrictions, traffic etc, you never get to fly a descent VNAV anyway, plus you get a real situation awareness and immersion due to that. I do not miss VNAV in this plane. It is so fun to do it yourself, you just need to prepare your flights a bit more in-depth. For the lazy auto pilot flying from take off to landing I have the PMDGs ;-) -

normal, it is a very slippery aircraft, you need to manage your speeds with anticipation, descending at 2000 f/m will not help reducing speed, it would more be below 1000 f/m depending on your current speed and altitude managing with FLCH can help to understand what that plane needs to be slowed down -
have a look here: 260+ pages long thread with nice shots

have a look at this post, I posted some schemes and instructions how to set up, feel free to shout if you need more help http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/110792-multi-monitor/&do=findComment&comment=1088918

thanks Tony, a bit fps hungry to be honest, but optimization is yet to come... but soooooo nice :-)
-
the alternative would be to switch to XP11, no need for a second PC and therefore all is in sync. now you can use new projection method to prevent this fish-eye distortion. It has a few bugs still, like click-spots being messed up, and of course low fps in beta state, but it looks very promising: 3x60° multi-monitor view on XP11:

oh ah... guess I should read the manual once

FPS drops to almost zero when using FMC in flight

SMP 4, Realweather and XP11 - a stunning combination!
donoscar replied to shreddersa's topic in SkyMaxx Pro Screenshots
I must admit my fps has seen some reduction (3 or 4 less), but in all honesty, I am running a 7680 x 1440 resolution with 980Ti and I can live with lower but stable fps (which is the case) if i can have those views.
