The horizon offset is something that can differ per-aircraft. We show what we get from X-Plane currently, but we have it logged [T-457] in our system to look into adding an offset criteria to add in the g5.cfg file in the future.

x-aviation beechcraft dutchess with AFM-G5 V2.0
Coop replied to grsfldflyer's topic in G5 Instruments
There isn't 3D integration for the Duchess, so the G5 would need to be used only as 2D popups or on RSG Hardware. If somehow the g5 configuration file got misconfigured to try to draw on the 3D cockpit, you can remove the existing g5.cfg file in the Duchess folder and it will generate a new file with the default settings to allow for 2D popup use. -
That is definitely not a feature of the aircraft, most likely either an external plugin is messing with something, framerate is much too low, or something going on with the joystick/yoke.

Hi Rick, The X-Plane GNSs load the X-Plane 11 navigation database, we don't have our own database loading, it all goes through X-Plane. Navigraph should install the X-Plane 11 data into the X-Plane 11/Custom Data folder. Note, this is a separate database from the X-Plane 10 "GNS 530/GNS 430" nav database, which isn't used by the X-Plane GNSs in X-Plane 11.

Need help in integration of G5 in Cessna 172 Slant Alpha 1.03
Coop replied to 312slammer's topic in G5 Instruments
I don't think this is something that can easily be done as a text file, you'd need to get the Slant A obj file imported into either AC3D or Blender, and add the missing objects there. -
Hi R, Is the RSG yoke moving with pitch trim, just at a different rate, or not at all?

Need help in integration of G5 in Cessna 172 Slant Alpha 1.03
Coop replied to 312slammer's topic in G5 Instruments
There would be two ways of going about this, both require manual object editing. The C172 Cockpit object would need to be either modified from -> use the Slant Alpha mod as a base, and manually add in the G5 screen space + G5 manipulators, or start with the G5 C172 cockpit and add in the slant alpha manipulators. -
We hope to get it into the next public beta of the 1.1.0 Entegra update.

I'd recommend a shallower response curve in X-Plane control settings

Does the backlight turn off when you hit the off button or is it just frozen on the green? Also, does the boot screen show before it goes solid green when turning on, or is just stuck at green?
-
Hm, are there digit image files in the SR22 directory -> plugins/sr_systavi/resources/GTX330/
-
Can you send a picture of what you mean by the screen being lit up in the dark but blank when powered on?
-
Not seeing anything in the log to signify issues in the loading process. So hitting any of the buttons on the transponder (on/alt/etc.) don't do anything?

This bit is interesting, not sure where the wires got crossed to trigger that -- one of our debugging steps from the beginning has been the copying over the TBM900 and I don't think anyones realized this explicitly till now. These things are hard to get picked up on our end for Linux given all the variations (I can probably count our Linux SR2X users on 1 hand). I'll put this on my list to look at what happened with that shipping Linux build of OpenGPWS.
-
Try this out in the Entegra /plugins/sr_systavi/lin_x64. Regarding OpenGPWS not loading, that one would most likely be some sort of missing dependency on your system as it a third party plugin by Totoritko of HotStart. If you have the TBM or CL650, you can try copying over the OpenGPWS plugin from there, or you can try a version from here: https://github.com/skiselkov/opengpws/releases If this doesn't work, please send your full log.txt as there are crucial bits of other information besides the intial loading error that are being left out. 1559314776_Entegra1.0.3bLinuxsr_systavi.xpl.zip

X-Plane should automatically introduce differential braking with that setup, changing the yaw axis control curve is another option.
-
If that doesn't fix it, in order to debug what is going on, we will need you to send us a copy of the X-Plane log.txt file. You can find a guide to get this file here: How to find the X-Plane log.txt file?

Yes, that would be great! I've just sent you an email.

Hi Paul, This shows on old builds of the G5 which are no longer active, the latest G5 update can be downloaded from the "My Orders" section on the X-Aviation store.

We have a lot in store this year, including updates for X-Plane 12 when it releases, and new products! Here is a summary of our projects and our current plans. All TorqueSim aircraft will be getting updated to X-Plane 12 for free. The AFM M20 Collection will not be seeing further updates, as it is being replaced with the upcoming TorqueSim M20R (discounts will be made available to all AFM M20 owners). The Updates TorqueSim SR20/22 Series, G1000 and Entegra We have multiple updates planned for this line. For the G1000s, we expect to release the 1.3.0 update soon, upgrading our internal processes and adding some new features and improvements. This update will also include many internal updates in preparation for X-Plane 12. Following the release of X-Plane 12, we plan to release a larger free update for each aircraft in the line bringing full compatibility with X-Plane 12, and taking advantage of all the great new features in the sim. TorqueSim BN-2B/BN-2T Islanders This product will also be seeing a free update to X-Plane 12! At this time, it has not been determined if this update will be split into two parts, like the TorqueSim SR Series aircraft. TorqueSim Pocket Rocket This aircraft will be seeing a free update to X-Plane, with the addition of the many new features X-Plane 12 offers, and some significant internal improvements, including a variant equipped with the Allison 250 B17 engine. The New Additions TorqueSim CitationJet 525 We are really excited to release this aircraft. While we are still squarely in the middle of development, we do want to make sure we can get this aircraft to you as soon as it is ready. This will be our most in-depth aircraft from TorqueSim yet, and by far the most accurate and fun light-jet for X-Plane, or any flight-sim, to date. We are really going deep with custom systems, failures, avionics, and more. Expect lots of exciting updates between now and release. This aircraft is planned to release for X-Plane 12 only. TorqueSim Take Command! Mooney M20R What started as a massive overhaul has grown into a whole new aircraft. The 3D and textures are completely new, intricate, and absolutely phenomenal. The systems are being totally redone from scratch, benefiting from the custom engine model and systems in the TorqueSim SR Series. Both the M20R Ovation II and M20R Ovation III are being done with great care, the former featuring a steam-gauge cockpit with options to show combinations of the RealSimGear G5, RealSimGear G500, RealityXP GNSs and RealityXP GTNs, in addition to the default X-Plane GNSs. The latter features our customizations on top of the X-Plane X1000, providing a great G1000 glass cockpit experience. Expect more updates on this in the months to come. This aircraft is planned to release for X-Plane 12 only. The Retirement AFM M20 The AFM M20 was the start of AFM Simulation's venture into X-Plane development, and what led to the formation of TorqueSim, merging forces with the art prowess of Attitude Simulations. Seeing dozens of updates since its initial release in 2017, its time for retirement has come, with the development of the TorqueSim M20R taking its place. The AFM M20 will still be available for X-Plane 11, and all customers of the AFM M20 will receive the upgrade discount to the TorqueSim M20. The new visuals and systems are a remarkable improvement and will truly do the M20 justice. Thank you for all your support over the last many years - we wouldn't be here without you. We will have more to share soon! Cooper, Steaven, and the entire TorqueSim Team.

Persistence (and a small error/bug)
Coop replied to concordelover221's topic in BN-2B Piston Islander
Yeah, adding 7000 might be a good option to add, cycling through the different options when clicking the VFR button perhaps. -
SR22 Entegra - Installing GTN750xi Problem
Coop replied to Kris shepherd's topic in Entegra SR22 Series
In the RealityXP drop down, set GPS1 to the GTN750, then GPS2 can either be enabled as a 650 or 430. The 3D cockpit will switch to reflect what is set in the RealityXP settings. -
Persistence (and a small error/bug)
Coop replied to concordelover221's topic in BN-2B Piston Islander
In the Islander folder -> plugins -> is_systems -> settings -> settings.cfg, you can set "disable_persist = 1" to disable persistent settings. Regarding the VFR transponder code, the way it is set up, if you are currently not squawking 1200 and click it, 1200 is set. If you are already squawking 1200, it cycles to 2000 (a common VFR code outside of the United States) -
There are not separate inspections from the actual repairs at this time
