  1. James, I have found a couple of issues regarding the ice protection that will be corrected in the next update. I am in contact with Laminar regarding other ice related issues, which I will address as soon as I hear back from them. Thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it. Note: Due to X-Planes limited ice protection capability and our wish to simulate the Saab anti-ice as accurately as possible, the AOA (CoPilot) will not have anti-ice capability. This allows us to provide expanded functionality elsewhere in the ice protection simulation. Jim Lead Programmer LES Saab 340A
  2. All fixed! Will be in the next update. Thanks for reporting this.
  3. I understood what you wanted all along... now I now why you want it it's something I will consider for the future... no promises though. Jim Lead Programmer LES Saab 340A
  4. I think Cameron was interested in the "color" of the annunciators on the EADI for the HDG and LOC1.
  5. Are you using joysticks of any kind?
  6. There is no radio volume control in the Saab. Is your "radio" another part of your computer setup? Does it have it's own volume control? or am I missing something here?
  7. Ummm... can't that be done with your overall computer/speaker volume control?
  8. Same issue.. will be fixed in the update.
  9. Bill, Thank you for the screenshot. I have found the bug and corrected it. This will be available in the next update. In the meantime you can still fly the aircraft. This error was occurring with the CTOT turned on. So, one way to fly is to simply not use the CTOT for now. The other way (a little more tricky) would be to use CTOT but keep the torque setting low. The error will occur only when using CTOT and the engine temperature exceeds 962˚ C, so keeping the torque setting low should avoid exceeding this temp level. JUst keep and eye on the temps and dial the torque down as necessary. Jim Leas Programmer LES Saab 340A
  10. If this has nothing to do with the Saab, then you should post your thought and findings regarding X-Plane's weather in a non-Saab related thread.
  11. NO, this does not make me happy AT ALL! If you write a script to "override" what we have engineered and designed, then you are on your own as far as support goes. We are more than willing to consider what users have to say about the product, but modifications will not be tolerated or supported. Jim Lead Programmer LES Saab 340A
  12. They are there.....
  13. Laminar doesn't need to wait until XP11. This could be put in one of the XP10 updates. I have a method I would like to see implemented, which I will be presenting to Laminar soon.
  14. AJ, No problem. Glad you figured it out! Jim
  15. DId you erase the manuals that came with your install? They are simply PDF files, which you can copy if need be. Jim Lead Programmer LES Saab 340A
  16. Thanks !
  17. In addition, as has been mentioned before, the radio manipulators are a "drag and hold" action. You DO NOT need to continue dragging to increment the frequency. Simply drag and HOLD, and the frequency will increment automatically. We will always consider other options for manipulators, but this is the best solution available at this time. 18. Guys, We did extensive research on this. The start time is approximately 55 seconds, which is dead-on accurate. See this video... Changing this is NOT going to happen! Jim Lead Programmer LES Saab 340A
  19. When you assign "prop" to an axis it not only drives the axis values but also some other X-Plane dataref values for the props themselves. This would prevent us from simulating the Saab properly. The Saab's condition levers do multiple things and therefore we needed to override everything and control all of this in the code. Adding Flaps

Ok... here's the deal. You can use the flap lever as it is right now (assigned to an axis) and it will move the flaps up and down. The problem is that the handle animation is broken for use with axes and will only move to the all up or all down position. Good news is the animation issue does not affect the actual position of the flaps.. .bad news is that the flap handle can not provide feedback as to the actual position of the flaps. However, the flap indicator on the panel does work and can show you the actual flap position. In addition, the next update will fix the flap handle animation! One last note: When using an axis for flaps, the handle is infinitely positionable... there are no detents. So, if you are going to use an axis, you will need to position the handle carefully in order to properly simulate how the flaps work in the real world. Jim Lead Programmer LES Saab 340A
  21. I'm not familier with how GF works, but you do have access to the radio frequency commands of the Saab in the Joystick & Equipment tab.
  22. This was a design decision at the time of implementation. It's not as simple as it may seem. We may consider this in the future but for now there will be no changes. Auto-Start is not a "proper procedure" start. It was implemented for those that don't have the time to do a manual start. It will get the "bare minimum" of systems started and then you can proceed from there. We could have included many more things but we primarily wanted the user to be able to not have to sit and watch the engines spin-up or wait for the AHRS to initialize... everything else following that can be done quickly by the user so it was not added to the autostart process. Jim Lead Programmer LES Saab 340A
  23. I am quite sure if you compare the Saab to other aircraft you will see a significant difference in many areas. As I have said before, you will most likely not get the same performance with the same settings. This is almost always the case as new aircraft get released with more features than the previously offered. In order to bring this type of sophistication to users there is a lot of advanced technology in use with the Saab. One of the factors affecting peoples performance is HDR. No one said this was solely an HDR issue, but it is a factor for many, as has been proven by some stats posted here by users of the Saab. Again, just because YOU don't have an issue with HDR, doesn't mean someone else won't. Everyone will be able to find a happy balance between settings and performance, it will just take a little time.
  24. With your settings at "Extreme" and that size monitor you're lucky your getting the frame rates that you are. HDR may not be affecting you, but it is obviously affecting many others.
  25. That's because when you're in the cockpit most of the scenery is not visible
