    Seamax Video

Awesome I'm buying this, that's for sure!!
  2. It looks like it's really really intuitive to work with, very natural and straightforward. To bad though there's not a plugin that will export finished models directly to X-Plane's object format. The hefty price tag isn't really helping it either for us freeware authors and most payware authors, but boy would it speed things up for my particular work flow! :'(
  3. Excelente, muy bien ;D
  4. MeshTool version 2.0 supports both SRTM DEMs (.hgt) and GeoTiff 16-bit (.tif). You might want to look at a new dataset from NASA and METI called ASTER (read this thread: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=39186&hl=). You won't be able to distribute your work due to legal terms but for personal use it should be OK. How accurate the data is compared to SRTM is yet to be determined, but my initial tests with the data are not that promising. Anyway, good luck! Please let us know how it all turns out and if you come up with a usable solution for the rest of us
  5. I'm afraid you're out of luck, unless you've got access to a higher resolution elevation dataset. At the moment there's no editor that allows us to edit the .dsf tiles or the source SRTM data for that matter. The only way is to edit the height points by hand, but that's not a simple task in its own. LR says they won't release tools that will allow you to make such edits, and unless 3rd parties come up with something we won't see an editor anytime soon. However, I've read that you can convert the SRTM data into graphic files (GeoTiff ?? or something else I can't remember), and then hand-edit it in a Photoshop or something similar, but this isn't any easier nor a good solution if you ask me. You will have to do some googling on your own if you choose this path, and you will probably need a windows machine as there are no tools available for the Mac if you need to convert the data into graphic files... Not much of a help, but this is the reality for scenery designers atm.
  6. Gorgeous model as always ;D Looks like the perfect airplane to do some sightseeing in, and being able to land on water and land makes it really useful too in remote regions...
  7. That's too bad, I was really looking forward to following the progress of the new exterior model in particular...
  8. Rafael, you should put up a few progress shots now and then, while we wait, so we have something to drool over and to pass the time I'm sure looking forward to a more detailed version!
  9. Cameron, I'm sure you guys are on top of things and wouldn't include one if it had not been economically doing so. When I think about it, I was probably a bit hasty posting my comment, and its more to do with what each induvidual prioritize and want from a product than anything else. It's great that you intend to cater to a broader market that might demand a cabin, but for me that won't be a must. I'll definitely buy it either way
  10. Is such a large detailed cabin affecting the overall framerate? It's very nice and all, don't get me wrong, but I can't really see a cabin being worth the effort unless it has little or no effect on the framerate... Just my 2¢... A detailed cockpit however, is very much desired, and you seem to have that nailed down pretty good already
  11. Awesome I can't wait to get my hands on this beauty... top notch all the way!

    X-Joystick

Sounds good to me! Looks like you've got some pretty cool plugins lined up for sure... and that Sandel gauge looks absolutely awesome.
  13. You definitely know your craft Japo, the exterior and the cockpit model looks absolutely gorgeous! I'm curious though, do you have a CRJ-200 sitting in your driveway? By the looks of things I bet you do.... ;D
  14. This would definitely be helpful for placing those overlay polygons, such as custom and repeating ground artwork, airplane gate markings etc. Will you be supporting this? If so, make sure you can lock the overlay image to a certain size in meters or feet, that you can move and rotate freely. OE falls short dealing with polygon overlays, so any tool that improves working with overlays, is a winner in my opinion!

    X-Joystick

Brilliant idea Indi! Most, if not all of us, that fly a combination of helicopters and fixed wing aircrafts, know the frustration of having to remap the joystick inbetween flights, and just because an aircraft share some common design principles, e.g. fixed wing aircrafts, that doesn't mean that they share the same joystick setup. It'll definitely make life easier for me... and I'll be getting it! When will it be available, and how much?
  16. Good on ya guys! The community could use some fresh thinking, without all the dramas going on elsewhere. Who better to take on the role as community leaders than the ones I'd like to consider to be the key developers for X-Plane, the very same people that keep pushing the boundaries, taking X-Plane to new heights in terms of what can be accomplished and the quality you represent. I'll be rooting for you... Best of luck guys!
