RWC is not working atm, METAR download fails.
Cameron replied to frontendrob's topic in Real Weather Connector
They are definitely one in the same. What is the date on the following file: X-Plane/Resources/Plugins/Gizmo64.plugin/firmware/extentions/MAXX_RWC/MAXX_RWC.lua.aes ? -

This is indicative of you somehow still running old stuff. Try this: 1. Go into your X-Plane/resources/plugins folder and delete Gizmo64.plugin 2. Re-run the RWC installer Does that solve it? -
needs reverse thrust sound .lua installed
Cameron replied to jetpeter1's topic in General Discussion
What? The IXEG aircraft has a custom reverse sound file. I don't really understand what you're saying here... -
Hi Richard, I haven't had a single report similar to this, so I'm not really sure what it could be. Maybe a firewall of some sort?
-
That's pretty awesome, Juan.

In the same way I question the value of a lighted cabin at night from exterior view, when in reality it's not so realistic? My point here is not to insult you, but to make apparent that many people have different opinions. Incorrect assumptions. Please don't go trying to compare other people or groups to another, especially from another sim. Free time is something none of the guys definitely have, and when they do, it's going to better priorities. I used past tense, not present, so this question is way out of context. Trying to project other peoples failures onto this team is not fair of you to do, so please don't. More importantly, I'd encourage you to do some research as to who the people on this team are and you'll perhaps quickly realize they are not prone to leave things behind. There are methods within X-Plane to make it so such a cabin is not impacting resources when not in use/view. It's simply a matter of doing things right. Never mind the fact that the 737 is already an extremely good performer FPS wise. *for me (you). As I said, in due time. This group does not skimp on the details when it's time to get something done. The dedication to this product has not changed, and if promises were made (as they previously have been), they'll get done. Longish story short? The cabin lights will come proper when the cabin itself is done.

Sounds like you don't have HDR enabled in the X-Plane rendering settings.
-
Glad it sorted it!

Just trying to assess the issue. Do the following: 1. Go to: X-Plane/X-Aviation and delete the SkyMaxx Pro uninstaller file 2. Go to: X-Plane/Resources/plugins/ and delete the SilverLining folder Now re-run the version 3.3 update.
-
Did you by chance remove SkyMaxx from your plugins folder at one point prior to this latest update?
-
Michael, Seeing your other posts I'm starting to think you are on OS X Sierra. As it is in beta, it's prone to issues, and this is one of them. As has been documented in other areas of this forum, our software is not currently compatible with Sierra.
-
Do not ever do this. Retail vs what you find online are different. You are bound to cause more problems doing so.
-
You should never install this separately. Why did you need to do that?

To do it right? Difficult. If you've read anything about this project then you'll understand the entire cabin is slated for a makeover. Adding detail to an area that is destined for destruction and re-do is not productive. In due time. I for one am happy emphasis was put on the systems first. That would have totally broken the immersion for me. Living without detailed cabin lighting for exterior view pleasure is okay with me for the time being. Having said all this, I should add that aside from on ground, cabin lights are traditionally kept OFF at night during flight. Part of this is to not only assist sleep, but also to allow eyes to adjust during critical phases of flight in case of emergency.

You'll get file path errors doing this.
-
I have TrackIR myself and have never encountered something like this. We also have many customers who use it. I'm willing to bet this issue is not our own, but something going on at your end. Rendering settings, or something amiss. I couldn't tell you for sure. What I do know is we'd have a ton of kicking and screaming people if this were really something happening between the two products.

Too early to draw conclusions but we'll keep an eye on it. -
We do not condone the editing of this file, and no changes of yours made it into the file. In fact, many of the settings in this file, changed or not, actually have zero effect in sim. In many cases you may just be fooling yourself. We had a guy on here at one time saying he changed various settings and things look so much better. Each one of the things he changed was never in use anyhow...
-
Should be fine.
-
The issue is you running OS Sierra.
-
It's very likely that things will just work again once Apple goes Gold Master. If it doesn't we'll definitely (and promptly) release an updated installer.
-
Hi there, It may very well be the new OS causing this. We won't be supporting this till Apple goes Gold Master so I'm not sure how much help I can offer you for now.

There were plenty of A variant, line flying, GPS utilizing, regional passenger carrying Saabs in operation, Tim. We've seen them first hand during development of this aircraft. This was not a "glaring omission", and the current Saab 340 operators using our software to train their pilots would also disagree with you. If we were talking the B variant I would be more agreeable with you. Considering the fact this product took nearly 4 years to develop, the only glaring omission I'm seeing is your ability to accept you may just be wrong, and that the work put into this product is worthy. The numerous Saab operators seem to think so, anyhow.

Sorry, but this can't be done without heaps of reverse engineering default X-Plane files since the autogen is embedded within those dsf files shipped with X-Plane.
