[Philipp] CRJ: "erorr loading navdata or magnetic data"
Cameron replied to woweezowee's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
This error usually comes up if you have an improper install of updated navdata. Did you do a Navigraph update from what we already provide to you? -
Official In-Sim Previews - February, 2nd, 2012
Cameron replied to Cameron's topic in Douglas DC-3 - Released!
Clarification, guys: The product is being produced in X-Plane 9. It works in both 9 and 10 without issue. There are some object specific things (like special lighting) that can be done in 10 which at this time are not slated for the initial release, and Goran's main reference is about these items. These are simple things, and really don't detract from the product in 10. So, to re-cap: This product will work in X-Plane 10 without issue, just as all products on our catalog already do. -
The 747 for sure.

Take Command! CRJ-200 Version 1.4.3 Update Released!
Cameron replied to Cameron's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
Can you please specify what you're doing to get to this point? No one is reporting this outside of you, so I'm skeptical of it being an issue statistically, but if you can provide some info and we can re-produce it we'll help you to troubleshoot. -
Can you specify what aircraft this is with? It really shouldn't be happening to exterior only. This should effect both inside AND outside, and is a great way for you to customize the "zoom" level of the panel. The higher the FOV, the more panel is visible.

Just open up the Rendering Settings screen and up your FOV (Field of View). I personally like it around 62-65, but this will be different for every person depending on your screen size.

Take Command! CRJ-200 Version 1.4.3 Update Released!
Cameron replied to Cameron's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
This MIGHT have to do with an activation issue. We have had two other users experience this over the last month. Please contact X-Aviation to proceed further so we may assess your setup. -
[SOLVED] Installer doesnt care about checked liveries
Cameron replied to docromano's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
Thanks for the report. I'll look into this. -
Hello, all, This will serve as a formal forum announcement that we have released the version 1.4.3 update for the Take Command! CRJ-200. All customers who have purchased the CRJ-200 up till now have been sent an e-mail by X-Aviation with complete installation instructions on how to update your product. We have made this a very simple process! For those that purchase the CRJ-200 from today forward, your purchased download will already be updated to version 1.4.3 for you. What if I didn't get the update e-mail? If you did not receive your update e-mail don't fret! X-Aviation has updated our system to allow all customers to update with ease, regardless of whether you received an e-mail for the update! Here's what to do: 1. Login to your X-Aviation account here: https://www.x-aviati...talog/login.php 2. View your past order history invoice that contains the CRJ-200 purchase on it. 3. At the bottom of the invoice you will find a blue highlighted link to your update that says: "Take Command!: CRJ-200". The new installer will detect whether this is a new install, or if you already have any CRJ-200 version installed. Depending on your current situation, the installer will run through the appropriate paths with you, including uninstalling all unnecessary items from the previous version! Your liveries/downloaded paints will be safe in this process! There are some important fixes and requests implemented in this update. The following is a list of additions/fixes included: Fixes: -FMS now handles erroneous user inputs graciously -Direct-to function could crash under some circumstances -Erroneous thrust limits will no longer kill the engines Feature: -On Mac, the remote CDU now advertises itself via Bonjour The above feature is a particularly neat one for the Mac users: Safari browsers on the network will now display the remote CDU in the Bonjour bookmarks, no need to type the IP-address and port. As always, thanks for being a customer with X-Aviation. We appreciate your feedback and support! Enjoy these latest updates, and stay tuned to the forum as we continually announce the latest happenings.

I wonder why the separation for such a general forum...I'm not sure it's a good idea, but hmmmm... Part of the fun of screenshot forums at places like Avsim is to post in forums full of MSFS users...and then tell them it's X-Plane later on in the post.

Looks like Beta 3 fixes this. Just released.

[CLOSED] no solved Unable to start PFDs on CRJ 1/2 solution
Cameron replied to the_papy's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
You posted about this yesterday. The topic was closed because you have an ongoing support ticket discussion with nearly 20+ replies to it, and now you have opened yet another topic again. Please discontinue opening new topics on this particular issue as you are already being helped. This topic is now closed. -

[SOLVED] Unable to Capture Glide-slope Version 1.4.2

I just realized you already have an open ticket with X-Aviation about this matter. Please continue your discussions in the e-mail dialogues already ongoing. This just doubles the support with the same result in the end.

It's typical for screens to remain dark on initial activation. Reloading the aircraft after the fact should show screens again. If a problem continues please attach your log.txt file or contact X-Aviation to send it as an email attachment!

Sounds like a pretty cool show with good displays! Take pictures and share regardless of whether anyone needs anything!

This topic is closed. Please see the two other topics already mentioned about COG for the CRJ-200 in the support forum, which is also where this post (Kyle's) should be placed. The post you have responded to is in a non-support forum and going on one year old. If I am not mistaken, you already have a post similar (if not the same) also in the support area. Please refrain from double posting.

European Aerosoft version.

Hi, Tom, All of this makes sense...it's a permission issue. X-Plane was trying to read files it didn't have permission to read based on user account permissions. The same is happening with your scenery. To fix this, you can CHMOD your scenery files to 777. You'll need to do this recursively in terminal. A quick google search will show you how to do this...be sure to do the CHMOD under the user account for which you installed the scenery on.

I suppose it depends on the care of packaging and how much leeway was left for a disc to get around. Who did you buy from?
-
Tom, Please do the following: 1. Download the XP 10 Demo: http://dev.x-plane.com/update/installers10/X-Plane10DemoInstallerMac.zip 2. Install the CRJ-200 to this copy of X-Plane 3. Run X-Plane (as well as the demo installer for that matter) without administration rights. Please report back what happens. Off the bat, this could be a funky permissions issue. The code is no different from V9 to V10, and you say it works in V9.

Hi, Tom, Indeed, there should be no reason for a scenery pack to require X-Plane to run as admin. Install makes sense (very little still), but X-Plane is the actual application that runs scenery, and to it...a scenery file is a scenery file is a scenery file once it's read.
