  1. It's on the list of things to add, as is regional water colors. In time!
  2. Hi, there, I actually don't believe you should have to overclock at all. I do not, and on my i5 and i7 systems I get absolutely wonderful performance! Perhaps we could help you solve some issues here. Do you mind loading up the CRJ in XP 9, going to a random airport, and then taking a screenshot of your X-Plane resolution settings window? There really is NO reason this product can't run very well on a stock i7 setup! Also, as a little tip, try to remain off the LEGS page of the FMC when possible. While the i7 copes with it fine, it's still a resource hog at times.
  3. Their tracking system is and always has been delayed. I'm almost 100% certain your package is well beyond where it states it is. Many people in California have been receiving their packages on the same batch that went out with yours.
  4. Hi, Neil, As indicated in our support e-mail to you, this is due to an improper install of your CRJ. It appears you perhaps manually dragged the CRJ over from another X-Plane install, or selected the wrong folder during the install process. You must always run the installer, regardless of which version of X-Plane you are installing to. This topic will now be closed, as we have an ongoing tech support e-mail going with you.
  5. Sorry, I missed the post about your new system. I assume you are using X-Plane 10 when speaking about this? It's far too early to be assessing performance until all of the issues are ironed out and optimization complete. How is your performance in X-Plane 9?
  6. You may want to read this post if you're considering a purchase:
  7. Comparing MSFS to X-Plane in terms of performance is not even something worth discussing, really. Getting into the complexities of DirectX vs OpenGL are just not worth the time. Simply put, they're different. X-Plane is not MSFS in terms of how it renders avionics. The core usage is important for numerous reasons. If this was slapped to one core you would not be pleased AT ALL....no one would. I also beg to differ with you on your sentiments about realism (coming from CRJ check airmen in this forum, as well as CRJ pilots on the beta team), and also about your statements regarding Felis' aircraft. He does a mighty fine job, though it does not reach this level (my opinion). At this time, the best thing you can do is upgrade your dual core machine to get better performance. I hate to say it, but as time goes on, so to do aged processors. I was in that boat up until a few months ago, so I can completely sympathize with your current position. I will say, however, that on the i5 and i7 setups, the CRJ runs phenomenally well!
  8. This is in fact true. Once it leaves US soil, tracking ceases. Miami is an intl port for departure to Europe. No worries!
  9. The view keys in X-Plane 10 have changed. This is not CRJ specific, but X-Plane 9 vs 10 specific.
  10. I don't think Philipp was calling you or your unknown decision stupid, Bill. He was clear that it was his personal choice and was sharing why he doesn't do it. What you do on your own is your own prerogative. Perhaps, though, after hearing why someone so intwined with X-Plane as Philipp is not deleting XP 9 you'll follow suit or agree. Obviously circumstances are different for each person. Hard Drive space is your reason...so be it!
  11. The DC-3 has position #1 at the moment and the Saab project is on a short term hold while we assess some things. Nothing major, just temporary.
  12. It's version 1.3.1. Trust me. Just doesn't say it in filename.
  13. Please do not ask questions in multiple places that have already been answered.
  14. Hi, Bill, Hopefully Philipp will have better answers to this one. Linux is just so finicky in the sense that in terms of "stability" it's not very good. Linux itself is great, but so many variants of Linux exists, and not everyone has the same items installed, so it makes it tough.
  15. You'll need to follow this up with X-Aviation. Further support cannot be carried out here due to system questions we'd like to get answered with you, but we'll be more than happy to help you out, sir! If you have done so already, please hold tight. If you have not, the place to contact is: http://www.x-aviatio.../contact_us.php
  16. If you have not already done so, please file a report with X-Aviation for support on RealScenery. It's fairly straightforward, and we'll be happy to assist. For the CRJ: Simply unzip the file you downloaded and run the installer that corresponds to your operating system located in the folder you extracted to.
  17. When it would ship was listed in a big, yellow box on the product page. Method of shipment was listed on the shipping page. I'm quite certain even now you are going to get your order quicker than you would have from anywhere else. You ordered in December, if I'm not mistaken! Look at it this way. Your order came up to ship yesterday. It will likely take only two days to get to you. USPS ships Saturday, FedEx does not (not without hefty fee). Given this, and even if you had ordered FedEx overnight, you will likely receive your item the same day FedEx would have gotten it to you, but instead of paying $40 for shipping you paid...$5. EDIT: Just checked on this again to further prove my point, Whiskeyportal. You are indeed receiving your package on the very same day you would be receiving it had you purchased FedEx overnight. I realize options are good, and I do apologize if this upsets you. I think this time it has worked in your favor given time of shipment and money kept in the wallet.
  18. Hi, Andy, We're looking into it. Laminar has put developers on a "stay" for developing for X-Plane 10 at the moment. There are just too many changes going on for it to be stable just yet. It won't last long, but that's the deal for now.
  19. 1-3 days for those in the US. Slightly longer for international. Your tracking # provided (once the carrier updates their tracking system) will show your expected delivery date.
  20. Hey, Andy, What happens when you find the file and try and open it in any photo viewing program?
  21. Jim ordered on the first day it went up for sale from Laminar. If you have ordered from X-Aviation you can check your order status by logging into your account. We have three phases of order status: 1. Processing 2. Preparing for Shipment (means your order is the next batch out) 3. Shipped - With tracking number (Customs tracking # provided for international buyers) Products are shipping and being processed as quickly as possible. We're working night and day to process orders very quickly! As with Laminar and the org, X-Aviation has been shipping as DVDs come in from UPS in multiple batches from the replicator. We all receive our shipments from the same company. Hang in there. We're rapidly going through these at a fairly quick pace now!
